We stayed at Mandalay Bay in May 2021 and we were pleasantly surprised how much we liked it going back this fall again. It's a very under rated property due mainly to it's location but very easy to get around to the rest of the strip from there. One plus we found was the lack of street hustlers & timeshare people makes for a relaxing Vegas vacation. It's nice to have different Vegas trips.

We stay at Delano, which we love, but Mandalay Bay is one of our favorite resorts. Great restaurants, arguably the best pool, fun casino, lots of drinking and entertainment options. And we like the location - love south strip! A little quieter but certainly easy to get everywhere. Thanks for the review!
We love Mandalay Bay in spite of the location. Stayed there last yr in one of their suites and it was fabulous. Going again 8/1 and can't wait

Mandalay is my home away from home!❤I've stayed there once or twice every year since 2011. I appreciate that it's away from the chaos of Vegas...my little oasis of calm and relaxation! 23 more sleeps and I'll be back in my happy place!❤🥂

We always stay here! Food options are great and my kids spend all the time at the pool. Their pools are awesome!

Love Mandalay Bay. I’ve stayed there before and am staying at Delano in July. Huge resort, best pool area and tons of food and drink options.
I have a free night a Delano but it’s too far from center strip so I’ll use my Luxor comp instead. Even though Delano is one of the last resorts I haven’t stayed at yet

It's very easy to get to the rest of the strip using the free trams. I think it's equal to any other higher end property on the strip actually better they have nice rooms and usually for less.
We have stayed at Mandalay Bay and enjoyed the many options for entertainment and food within easy walking distance. Other properties are available without ever going outside if you choose. Pool options are fantastic here
Mandalay is just the right amount of Vegas for me. You also mentioned a food court in luxor - there is also one in the convention center area of Mandalay near shark reef - past the Arena. You basically have everything there on property and the best lazy river around.
Mandalay Bay is definitely a go-to for me - I've stayed up and down the strip, and I always come back to MB.
Its is really one of those places where you can stay your entire trip and never go outside!
One thing that I heard is that MB's excellent, reasonably priced accomodations as well as the "multi conveniences under one roof" service approach make the resort a very popular place for conventions all year round... Lots of different organizations _always_ booking rooms and space, so if MB is a personal favorite, you might have to pay attention and possibly plan accordingly to its extremely busy convention schedule!
I’m staying at Mandalay Bay in August. I’ve stayed in Delano and I loved it. I just hate the trek from the Delano to the pool complex. I’ll be curious to see how the rooms compare.
Delano has it's own pool, you don't have to walk all the way to the MB pool....
Staying in a suite in a few months. Have stayed at Ny Ny, Aria, Cosmo, and MGM. Looking forward to enjoying this property. With Platinum status the suite is a steal.
Awesome! We really like the property, there are so many food / bar options. The gaming floor is really big and you have indoor access to Luxor with lower table limits!
Mandalas Bay is a beautiful property, and with the tram, it isn’t too bad to get to other areas of the strip.
Both great reasons to stay!

Loved the review! We’re going Dec. 30-Jan.2, 2023 - picked this hotel bc of couple going with us are going to Raider Game on Jan 1st. I’m getting paranoid bc of bad comments I’ve read of Mandalay Bay. We KNOW it’s going to cost an arm, leg & more lol It’s my bday and hubby has never been to LV! Any DO and DON’T do’s would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for watching and commenting! We have stayed there many times and have been there for events and dining MANY more times. Have never had a bad experience at the property, ever. Do walk around and explore the shops and the Luxor next door. Do not focus on the negative that you see out there before your trip, those are their own experiences and you don't know what their expectation was. The game energy will be contagious! Hope you have a wonderful trip!

I like staying at the Manday despite its distance from the other casino's.
This is a huge family hotel so expect lots of kids at the pool area. Lounge chairs are hard to come by so get to the pool early. Checkin was a bit of a nightmare as well. Took us over an hour last year. Rooms are nice and spacious. Are you part Kanaka?

Its going to be CRAZY, but Fun! Expect lots of crowds everywhere. If there are any restaurants that are a must for you, make reservations now! You're going to have a blast!

I’m heading there in April, solo, for a show at house of blues. Good to know I will need to get there early. I love that there is a Raider Image store at the shoppes, since I’m a huge fan. 😄 Looks like an amazing property
House of Blues has very good food, hopefully they start getting more shows like pre covid. 12:50 Pre Covid there was VERY GOOD band called Phoenix that played at the MB Ryths and Riffs lounge almost every weekend...............hopefully they bring them back. One con, sportsbook is nice but they want a $200 bet on sports for one comp drink. IMO the screens need a major update

It's cute the way they lay traps for you in your room. Touch the candy? Pay for the candy. Touch the fridge, pay for the fridge

I stayed with a couple friends and we lost everything so we were throwing the snacks at each other and got charged lol. Glad we checked out and they told us so we put the snacks back on the sensors and they reversed the charge
Is the MB/Lux/Excal Tram running daily ? As recently as March it was only running on weekends. If the tram is running it's very easy to get to NYNY
It was running during the week when I was there in early May.
Yes it's running daily from 8:00 am to 4:00 am
It’s always running daily. Just the one that is considered an express is only on weekends
I stayed there and I got lost in the lobby. It’s like a maze with all the slot machines 😂

I stayed at Delano and wasn't that impressed with the room! As far as offshoot/sister properties go, VDARA is shoulders above it!
I liked the Mandalay Bay property, although I stubbed my whole foot on an unidentified rise in the carpeting and the whole circumference of my ankle cracked. I know it was injured, but walked it off, but it limited my mobility at EDC.
I wasn't impressed by the bathroom you showed, but the rest of the room was nice. I bring an ice chest from California, but you can use one of the sinks as a makeshift cooler or one of the small trashcans too.
The free trams will take you down to Excalibur and then you cross the street to Park MGM and take their free tram to Aria/Crystals/Bellagio and VDARA, if you want mid-strip/city center access.

@@NinthIslandConnection Yes, but I don't think they did anything. I wasn't trying to sue or anything, so I just continued with my Vegas fun.
Delano was better than Vdara, but I don't think it was really the room itself that was better, more the cleanliness when we were there. I can see Vdara beating out Delano if the did a little better housekeeping and maintenence.
They fix that I would put Vdara slightly (and I do mean slightly) over Delano.
Great review. I think their standard King room is one of the biggest and nicests rooms for the money. Despite the tram, it's located just way too far away from the rest of the strip. I love the place but I cant stay here again as even though I am in decent shape, I spent way too much time walking to the rest of the strip. Like the reviewer says, it's fine for a few days if you don't want to visit the rest of the strip. The wave pool and lazy river is awesome. Bring your own tube as they charge $50 for a tube.

There are things called cars. You can use them to drive to and park at other MGM properties. Not a big deal.
I've always called it Del-ahh-no as well, but when we stayed there last month I heard employees say Del-A-No. I wish somebody could tell me the proper pronunciation. Lol
Delano was a great room and the location wasn't a big con for us really, got to be in my top 5 rooms easy!

It’s pronounced Del-Uh-No. The hotel is named after President Franklin Delano Roosevelt
How is the guest parking? Is it pretty close ?
Yes! Plenty of parking and on the property.
The location is the main drawback. The street is rundown. It has a walking aquarium.

We had a horrible experience at Mandalay Bay. I found a meatball adjacent to my bed & the room was filthy. My father's car in the parkade got covered with mud from the upper parkade floor when it rained. The Manager stated they would comp my stay & would let both my parents and me have late checkouts for our rooms at no cost. They didn't do that & instead our keys no longer worked that afternoon & they had locked us out of our rooms with our possessions inside. They also had charged me for my room on my credit card. They had emptied the pools when we were there. We will never stay there again!!!
A meatball! LOL, not laughing at you, but a meatball! We ave found little things like coins, a dollar bill that was rolled up really tight for obvious drug use. Never any food though. That does seem like a terrible experience!

Really like Mandalay Bay, very clean and spacious. Don’t like location. It’s a pain to get to the rest of the strip.
Stayed in Mandalay last year. Good hotel and casino but it’s too far of a walk to center strip which is where all the action is it. Bellagio, aria, cosmo, Caesar’s, Paris, and Venetian is where you want to be. I’d rather stay at park mgm than Mandalay just because it’s closer. And it’s pretty clean because u can’t smoke inside
The duece is a great way to get around the strip. $8 all day
@@Christine_1111 never used it but looks convenient. I usually walk because it’s the only place I can walk 10 miles a day without realizing it haha. And it’s more fun to walk the strip

Lol ya if you haven’t been before you’ll get lost easily. I’ve been going a few times a year and it can still be confusing
The Mandalay is a nice hotel I like it. But I would never stay there after what happened a few years ago it gives me the goessbump😕

Tooooooooo many kids at pool, was horrible and nooooo relaxing

$100/night for pets isn't what i would call pet friendly.
I was hoping for more information. Nice room tour, but repeatedly talking about walking off property was not helpful. Walk to stadium. Walk to Luxor. Walk in mall. Which is supposed to meet my retail needs, but no reference to what stores are there. In all the dining or drinking opinions, the only place worth mentioning was the speakeasy. Broad brush to "fine dining". This was one of the most useless hotel videos I have ever seen.
