Great video except for the focus issue which I have rarely experienced with this camera UW. I am curious if you are using the iPhone's touch screen focus feature in situations like the shark and piers? Touch focuse is also a fast way to adjust exposure in camera for shadow areas. Keep up the great work and l love the Divevolk, especially how fast the iPhone photos are uploaded automatically to iCloud from inside the housing once you are back in WIFI or fast cellular range.

I used the diveVolk tray mount with red filter attachments. I was traveling light, so I had 2 smaller cheap 1,000 lumen wide angle lights, side mounted. The GoPro was mounted above the iPhone.

Remember the new 15 may have significant differences due to telescopic lens, so a new housing will be needed most likely.

@@francisbevacqua8014 I was less worried about the diveVolk. Than other housings. Divevolk has a lot more tolerance with depth of phone meaning bump out. But it really depends on how much the periscope lens will protrude. There are no details on that yet.
Terrific review. The focus issues have lingered since the 13 and your explanation really helped. My personal experience is that the battery is better in the 14, however I am using a slightly different set up. (Hot Dive H2 using the Deep Photo app.) Also improved seems to be the screened darkening issue when shooting 4k on land in the sun. I know this was underwater focused, but have you seen any improvements when shooting b-roll on land?
I have a Hot Dive H2. While it fit my 13Pro it doesn't fit the 14 Pro. bump out on the 14 pro is too big. See my previous review. ua-cam.com/video/5IrbrRo7rO0/v-deo.html I did not like the battery drain with either the Hot Dive app or the Deep Photo app. I also had issues with the internal coating they use for anti-fogging.
@@watertrek360 Interesting about it not fitting. I use the iPhone 14 Pro Max in the H2...although I didn't get the depth sensor. I wonder if the incremental space for that reduces the space for the larger camera bump. Also, I really didn't like the thin sticky area that is supposed to hold the iPhone, so I actually cut the back of a dive mask strap. Super sticky and flexible so the iPhone doesn't move.
Will the seafrogs sf-ph-02 work with the iPhone 14 pro? They don’t seem to have a new model housing for this so not sure if their current model works
At this point no. While it would fit The issues with full use and focal points. I would not recommend it. That is up to you.
How was the macro mode on 14pro? Pretty sure that is a new feature on 14pro.
As mentioned I am not much a macro photographer, but once I changed the settings for MACRO control, and in preserve settings, I didn't find any real issue.
In regard to focus issue, did you try to use a different photo/video app? From what I heard, Apple is aware of the issue so the workaround is using a different app.
LOL, pretty funny, I am working on a 3 part series on 3 Apps that can help. Hope to have that out soon, so stay tuned.

Wow, you don't know how to use it very well.
I have used an iPhone 13 Pro and now the 14pro on over 70 dives with some pretty great results. So I am not sure exactly what you mean. Enlighten me. I am always open to new information.
