Upgraded from the iPhone X to the 15 Pro Max. Great stuff, but if you have no intentions to use more than 128 GB of storage, just get a normal 15 or an 14 for that matter. Especially the 15 Plus is really astonishing concerning screen-on-time.

What about the battery? Is fine? I am planning to get one 15 pro but I read some reviews about it and a lot of people are saying that the battery is bad. As my actual phone is one iphone 12, probably the battery will be a way better than my actual phone
My experience is great with the battery on the 15 pro. I did a full charge from zero 3 days ago and got 41 hours before a recharge (with light use).

I'm personally upgrading from an iPhone XR to a 15 Pro. The XR is definitely a great phone, however it's been slowing down a lot for me lately.
battery changed costs less than a new phone , if software feels that new battery juice your cpu speeds come back as it new

Main reason I waited till the 15 pro was when I heard the rumors of the Blue color and I always get the blue color when it’s available, I got the 12 pro in Pacific blue and now getting the 15 pro in Blue titanium. I watch a lot of content too so the 120hz display will be a nice upgrade!
Just upgraded from my Gen1 SE, after 7.5 years of use and opted for the 15pro. Hoping to get a similar usage out of the new phone. It’s a huge upgrade and I’m happy with the purchase although I miss the small formfactor of the SE. Thank god (or whatever) for „reachability“
Omg, how was that even doable? The battery on that thing is tiny.
@@guy5282 quite honestly it was a pain in the arse. The battery issue was manageable with a power bank and charging while at work but in the past 6 months I’ve had issues connecting to wifi networks and some apps got really glitchy.

Fair play, upgraded to an 11 from a 1st gen SE and that felt like a massive jump… just upgraded again to a 15 pro and the change isn’t as noticeable day to day tbh
I upgraded my Xs Max to the 15. I would have kept my Xs max if it wasn't for the phone over heating to the point it was radiating my hands. My index finger still hurts from 3 weeks ago when I was using it at peak hours here in NYC. The 15 is a big improvement but the XS otherwise was still a good phone for my type of usage.
This is honestly one of the most helpful videos on UA-cam right now. I am now on XS and looking for an upgrade and it really helped me to choose a new phone in the future. Keep up the good work guys.

@@nicholascherry8804 normal iPhone 15, not Pro. I don't need the fast transfer speeds, or the additional telephoto camera and I'm going to wear the phone in a case, so the design doesn't matter to me much. the Pro version has nothing to offer me. 15 seems like a great phone for the price honestly.

Updated my XS to iOS 7 and had loads of problems. Restored it from a backup and it’s working better than ever. Just need a new battery and I’m good for another couple of years. Will probably wait for the 16 to come out and then get a 15.

Four minor mistakes: iPhone 13 Pro has 1000 nits brightness (like 14&15 Pros) while 12 shows 625 nits in manual adjustment, 12 Pros started at 128GB storage, Xr only has 3GB RAM
13 pro has lower brightness than both the 14 pro and 15 pro.
The 14 and 15 pros have 2000 nits.
14 pro has 2,000 nits

Correct, outdoor brightness is lower in 13 Pro than 14&15 Pro, but see that I mentioned it on manual brightness only: You cannot get 2000 nits brightness on 14&15 Pro without turning on auto-brightness, 1000 nits is the best you can get (15, 14&15 Pro) from manually adjusting from control center.

Upgraded from an iPhone 11 I got in 2020 to a 15 pro yesterday! It’s amazing!
I upgraded from the XR to the 15PM and the difference is huge, no regrets at all!
How are you finding the pro max? To me 6.7 is not comfortable, 6.1 feels much much better

Hey, thanks for the video and I think you’re correct on pretty much what you said but I’ll be keeping my green iPhone 13 mini for another year as I downloaded iOS 17 and it’s running great on the phone so I don’t think it’s worth an upgrade right now I’m sure they’ll be some cool features and the 15 but

I currently use a iPhone 6S Plus, I am quadriplegic and don't have any use of my hands, and have to rely solely on voice control when using the iPhone.
I am trying to decide which iPhone to upgrade to, speed of the processor is most important to me. Which model would you suggest for me, just a curveball, should I consider getting a new iPad (I currently don't have an iPad) instead of a iPhone… I live in South Africa and all Apple products are frighteningly expensive, because of the exchange rate, our currency is 19:1 to the US dollar…!

I’m still using a iPhone XS, and debating on going to a iPhone 15 Pro, it’s the first iPhone I felt was worth considering upgrading too, skipped the 11-14 didn’t see any real reason to upgrade to them. But I’m still on the fence about it cause I don’t use very often most of the features that get the most upgrade, and I don’t find my current phone to be slow, let alone slow enough to warrant the price of the new one. But some features of the display, USB-C, MagSafe, are tempting.
Honestly I’ve had my iPhone 15pm for abt 2 months now, and I absolutely LOVE IT. Coming from the base 13 model and never having own a pro of any kind, I have been wildly impressed and extremely satisfied with my recent upgrade!
I ordered the 15 Pro Max 1t from my 12 Pro Max. Can’t wait to get it.
Love my X but it’s time to upgrade. I’ve chosen my Casetify case - just have to get the 15 pro or pro max! Thanks for your excellent videos I may continue to watch them after I’ve found a phone!

Amazing video. I love how you were inclusive of each full body generational lineup. I currently have an 11. I would definitely upgrade no doubt but I’m not in any financial situation to be looking at new phones right now. Plus none pf the current iPhones meet my minimum requirements so I’m still waiting for that golden model. I’ve had my 11 for 3 years now. Will hopefully be able to upgrade in 2-3 years from now. iOS 16-17 has taken a real toll on older devices. Less noticeable on newer models but definitely not as performant as say iOS 12 or 15. Apple needs to get back on top of the software game. Battery life for me is horrid. Average 3-4 SOT 4;30 hours max with 85% battery health. Although I don’t really believe apples estimate to be accurate. Feels more like 79%. Doubt I’ll be able to regain that original 6;45 Hours SOT even with a new battery. Can say I’m super disappointed that out of all iPhones, apple decided to give the XR/11 such a subpar display compared to its predecessors. Makes no sense to me and is quite a blatant rip-off. Honestly the 11 is still holding on but it’s definitely showing its age now. Doesn’t even get the new iOS 17 keyboard cuz the neural engine isn’t powerful enough apparently. 😢😒😮💨
Also, you got the RAM spec for the base 15’a incorrect. It’s still 6GB unfortunately.
I have an 11 pro max and I’m currently saving up for a new phone, but I whole heartedly cannot decide between a 15 pro max, and airpod pro 2’s, or a Samsung s23 ultra with the galaxy bud pro 2’s

I finally decided to upgrade to a pro phone (15 pm) to be exact. Coming from the base 13 model. I would always have to upgrade 2-3 years, but now, I feel that I wouldn’t have to for 4-5 years.

Upgraded from a 128gb 13 Mini to a 256gb 15. Loving the bigger screen although I really loved the size of the 13 Mini to start off with. Also loving the black colour on the 15, and finally USB-C!
Yeah, I’ve got a iPhone 13 mini also when I thought about upgrading but after I downloaded iOS 17 and it’s been running great I think I’ll wait another year as I just don’t know if I want to go back to caring a little mini iPad in my pocket at least that’s what the bigger phones feel like now after having the minibut I get it all the best. Thanks. I had an 11 before the 13 Mini. I hated the 11. Too chunky and heavy for me. But the 15 is lighter and narrower than the 11 and only 31 grams heavier than the 13 Mini. I’m really enjoying it.

If it had a physical sim I'd be really tempted but I really enjoy having an iPhone and then I also have an Android phone I use on occasions cuz I have a Samsung computer. I'm not hoping but if my 13 mini was to break or something was to happen to it I would probably buy the 15
I have been using 12 mini since 3 years. 15 is tempting me to upgrade. Main reason to buy mini was the size. I hope I can resist for another year atleast before switching to a bigger iphone

I was thinking of upgrading from the normal 11 to the 13 pro max, but apparently Apple discontinued those as well as 14 pro max and now they only produce the Pro and Pro Max versions on iPhone 15. Any recomendations? I was thinking 14 plus

Twice higher megapixel camera, wide angle lens, superb lowlight photography, 8 gigs of ram, better gaming, 5G and usb-c port.
Upgrading from XS Max 512 GB to 15 Pro Max 1 TB and looking forward to see the changes.

Currently using XS. Really appreciate the camera of my current phone and apart from battery life there seems no issue.
Although now I may need to switch to other phone. Would prefer a pro model 15, but due to issues related to durability and heating, I am considering 15.

Wait to see if issues get resolved. If not wait a year. Don’t waste your money on a non 120hz refresh rate screen in 2023. Base model iPhones are junk

I recently upgraded from the 11 Pro to a 15 Pro.. because my 11 pro got stuck in a boot loop where the logic board failed. Loved that phone but have to say, this phone has been a huge improvement!
I’ve used an iPhone X since it came out and it’s basically been re used by me many time over lol so i finally decided time for an upgrade. Ordered the 15 pro but it’s sold out everywhere so won’t receive it for another 3 weeks. Hopefully it’ll be great!

I have an 8+, might be looking for an upgrade to the 15 PM but due to some of the 'easy breaking' and 'overheating' (which I personally think is software related) I might just hold up until the 16's or later.
I went from the 8 to the 15 PM, honestly have not regretted it once since I got it on launch day. If you think you can hold out another year, go for it, but the overheating will probably be fixed with an update, and durability wise, I don't think ill be dropping it anytime soon.
I’ve had the 15 Pro for 3 days so far, no overheating here. But I also don’t have any of the apps that seem to be problems, like Facebook or Instagram. I do have the Uber app, and that was thought to also be a problem for background system usage, haven’t had any issues yet. Willing to bet they’ve already begun sorting it out for most apps that were having issues.

15 Plus looks like an excellent phone and I’m sure I’d like the upgrade over my XR. Doesn’t unfold into a tablet though, and I don’t have the pocket space to fit both an iPhone and an iPad Mini, so I don’t plan to get an iPhone this time

There’s so much talk about the sides, and the look of the case. I would very much like to see you a study through your site with all of your vast viewers of no case, clear case, not clear case what percentage of people in a large sample size, have some sort of case that negates the shape of the edges.

Upgrading from 12 pro max to 15 pro max and yea all the improvements I"ve noticed are significantly massive whether in terms of performance,120hz of refresh rate, the massive camera improvements and the long last battery life.gonna love it🥳
I tried in the store a 14 pro and I don’t personally see a significant jump on speed (it lauchess the photos app faster and things like that)
About the changes I expect, I’ve always hated the battery on my Xr, and it has always worked properly, according to the info in the settings, + I want a bigger screen because I’m studying on the public transport xd

You mostly see the difference in scrolling. The text and such are much smoother than on a 60hz display
I noticed something but it wasn’t a mayor thing
When I went from my iPhone 6 to my current Xr I noticed the jump in ram management (much needed), that the camera is better, it has slightly better battery life and it goes brighter, order than that, it felt bulkier
When I have to change the phone I notice improvements but not “life changing” for me (at least not until now)

It is tempting, I really like the new Pixel 8, but I’m going to remain at Apple, for now

Still undecided on going from the 12PM to the 15P or 15PM. The 15PM easy breaking concerns me, so I'm then thinking about the 15P.
My 12 pm is still running fine pretty sure it has a better camera than the 12 pro In the video. I might wait until the 16
Still on iPhone X. And running iOS 16 whenever Apple decides finally to introduce multilingual Typing Support, I will upgrade immediately to whatever pro model
