What a nice surprise. I couldn't sleep so I got up and turned on UA-cam and you had this fantastic video of an Istanbul metro train ride. I have always been a fan of metro rides since I was raised in Berlin Germany.
Very nice video and a very well built system. The enclosed entry walls in the stations are a very nice touch to avoid someone falling accidently onto the tracks. Thanks for posting this as well.
Incredible the first thing I noticed was how clean and relatively debris free the tunnels are granted this is a newer transit system than what we have here in Manhattan but then again our system is over 100 years old.
@@marshartdegen possibly but I looked at those lights and realized they are for maintenance and safety purposes. Also a brighter tunnel means less infestation rodents and animals. Our subway tunnels are dark and dingy.
@@marshartdegen What you are missing is that our subway system is over 100 years old there's a difference so instead of maybe not perhaps maybe so. It's also one of the most extensive in the world. You need to look at the bigger picture and all the contributing factors.
London has some very old (100 years or so) underground lines but they generally aren't as dirty as NYC's for some reason. The dust in the air can get pretty bad in London's system though. You find out when you blow your nose

Why is there water in several places in the tunnel? Is that not dangerous? This is not common here in German subways.

The train is driverless, what is normally occupied by driver’s cab, is passenger area.
Driverless is all fine until MicrosoftTrain TM has to reboot to install updates!
