    A good thing to do is chemset some Rod in the footings to come up through the core of the piers then fill with concrete.

    Looks good but piers should be tied in. Need to blend the colours of brick better.

      @bricksbyty  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah, my mistake... This fence is rendered so we didn't need to blend it in! Thanks for watching the video anyway!

    Nice job mate. A tip, if you haven't done the foundation yourself alway check that string line for level before you run the fence. It is unlikely but possible the concrete is poured with a pig in it. That’s an old term used for a foundation that looks good but is a full course out of level. You lay away thinking everything is going fine only to realise at some point your a full course out of level. You usually realise it at smoko when you’re feasting on your sausage roll only to look at the wall and see something's not quite right 😵‍💫

      Looks like we'll have to branch out to basic concreting! We have a Facebook page where we have an open messenger to chat! Thanks again!

    • @ramonburchell6366
      @ramonburchell6366 2 роки тому

      For a fence this high tieing in wouldn’t be necessary , you have to justify costs to owners who generally would like to pay the minimum for a good job 👍🏾

    Did he finish building the fence or is he still waiting on more bricks? Sorry I'm unclear on that part. I was just wondering roughly how many bricks it took to have it completed or was it 530 as he said? Some awesome effort there. It really does look nice.

    Plz show us how did I build the footing

  • @shimarlie1
    @shimarlie1 Рік тому

    Great Video. How deep do you have to make the footings for a wall like that and is it (the footings) just concrete or is it reinforced with steel?

    • @bricksbyty
      @bricksbyty  Рік тому

      Reinforced with steel. I'm not sure what depth the concretors made this footing however.

  • @Semaj.18272

    If you live in another country there is a lot of brick masonry work you can do and I mason can build his own home a lot for even a lot of Mason's one Mason can make a good living by his own home car you would think that it's the same way in America but it's not you would think it's a lot of brick masonry work in America but taken from me I'm 51 years old brick I start laying brick 20 years ago I was in my thirties when the Brickman went belly-up and how house building Bubble Burst in 1999 before that I was building houses like crazy and I loved it you have big corporations that build brick houses now you have the whole brick mason went out of business If the general contractor goes out of business the subcontractors definitely went out of business and that's me all the subcontractor Brick Mason company they are no more I still have my mixer dump truck Bobcat a brick forklift and Scaffolding before as building on work the big corporations have that and they're not let nobody in they don't hire subcontractors companies anymore they hire you got to be a certain age 19 to 40 because of insurance and and your pension cut off they want someone Young not old and experienced it has to do with insurance in order to build houses I will have to become a general contractor myself and build the houses myself the Coventry the plumbing the whole works getting the permit the land the whole thing unless you got a lot of money it just ain't worth it but if you're good with the bank yeah you can build houses all the time without no problem a subcontractor has to become a general contractor license to build houses without the big corporations but most subcontractors did not have the money to come general contractors the requirement is $400,000 in the bank just to build one house the only thing that's left is side work repair work renovation houses brick mailbox and most of the time the big corporations are doing it to.

      @WoodPalletVultur 2 роки тому

      @@bricksbyty Yes it was money and brick masonry I'd be doing it right now but only the big corporations build those houses now only thing that I have to do now is repair stuff somebody then ran into somebody house with a car or something like that and then you got to hurry up and do it or some other brick mason or jump on it you're lucky if you got a couple of mailboxes to do and then you take your time doing them so the work would last a long time ask the big Corporation give you a little bit of their work and they will not give it to you a brick mason and all his equipment had to end up going to another country to working and making any money so that's how it is in America General Contractors were begging you to work hen I was in my early twenties you can make money hand over fist and United States you can get a loan by build your own house and cars and trucks and all that stuff but not no more the big corporations doing it and they are not sharing oh you can do is wait for me to finish building the house if they wanted a mailbox built or paver driveway laid BBQ Pit or Pizza Oven build and you're lucky if you get that if you live in another country all man you're lucky.
