Dude, you are the best. An unsung hero in the space. Appreciate you immensely sir!
EXTREMELY UNDERRATED VIDEO. There should be at least 20,000 likes here. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love that you have coinkite gear in the background lol
So you don’t need the micro sd card staying in there ? You remove it after set up? I’m confused.
Is it possible to create one "account" with many different SD cards ?
Sucks you can get a 12 word seed gen from it ... Could you use a Trezor to gen a 12 word key then import? Is that a legit strat?
hey. nice video. is it possibile to swap from one crypto to an other with the same device app? or I have to send the coin or token to an other wallet to swap or sell?
Just ordered one. Thank you for the video.
No problem! I didn't get to show in the video, but the mobile app on Android is pretty slick.
Ordering one after watching this video. Thank you sir.
You can use sparrow
Muchas gracias por las explicaciones, está todo muy claro. Han pasado ya un par de años y todavía no han sacado una bitbox03, ¿crees que la bitbox02 sigue estando al día para comprarla en 2023?👌👌👌
Can you use bit box to convert btc to dollar or gdp ?
Nifty hard wallet. Can you configure/connect directly to mobile? I've considered going solo with mobile and Samsung DeX (no laptop or desktop). Is there a cover for the USB C or is it retractable as I've busted those in other devices when they are not protected?...opps, u answered at the end!
I noticed there’s a fee transferring BTC from an exchange to BitBox2. Does anyone know if this a flat rate fee or depending on the amount $ of the transfer?
Depends on your exchange. Most pay the fee for you. Once it is in your possession, then anytime you move it, you pay the fees.
I really need a clear explanation of the difference between PIN code, password and passphrase.
Thanks for the BitBox02 video content.
Wait, did you say if bitbox02 is damaged along with SD backup, then funds are lost for good? That doesn't sound good
that's why you write down the seed phrase
okay fine, that was payment at home with the computer at hand but how to make payment with btc when on the move and you don't have the bb02 with you only the phone or when you have the bb02 with you bot not the phone?
You need to use him like a value reserve of Btc, for more fast transactions use a ledger nano or a safepal
Thanks for the great video. Does the SD card backup contain your private key or just an expub? Is it safe to plug the SD card into a computer connected to the internet? Thanks.
No it clearly says do not plug the SD card into anything other than the Bitbox02
when sending/receiving, does the transaction need to be completed before disconnecting from the app and hard wallet from the usb?
@@henrikv5410 you dont have to wait for it to complete. you can remove the wallet/close the app after starting the move
Great tutorial! Thanks
how could the all transactions history and balance be restored from sd card when sd card was not inside the bb02 when you performed transactions???
With the mnemonic seed
The SD card contains the private keys. Once you start restoring from back up, the private key and all transactions associated with its public addresses are scanned on the blockchain. Remember, your bitcoin is not on your hardware device!!! You are storing the private keys on your hardware device. The hardware wallet, or cold wallet is more accurately described as a SIGNING DEVICE. Think of it as a pen. The transactions must be signed before they are sent to be confirmed.
How can I see the 24 words that were back up in the Micro SD?, I mean, if I only can use the MicroSD in the hardware wallet (don't use it in ANY computer, not even the personal computer), how can I see the seed?.
Is the Micro SD encrypted as well? if not, how we can guarantee that there is nothing bad inside it?
Its in the settings, he covers it in the video too.
I've asked to have the ability to choose your own transaction fees before. They said they would look into it. It would be great to use it via the Wasabi wallet and do some mixing! I use a VPN and most of the time the connection "times out" or something when doing a transaction and I stop receiving the confirmation updates. I have to restart the app to see when the confirmations actually reach 6. Don't know if it's a vpn thing or an issue with their side? I do like it tho and hope it continues to evolve. Still not convinced I've found the perfect hardware wallet for me tho. Oh, I'd also like to be able to see more than 20 addresses at a time. Right now, the cut off is 20. Good review tho Ben! :) And I agree with all your points about it.
Thanks for posting! Looking for help: My Safe Wallet contains some USDT trx, and I possess the recovery phrase: -clean- -party- -soccer- -advance- -audit- -clean- -evil- -finish -tonight- -involve- -whip- -action-. Could you suggest how to go about sending them to Bybit?
Thanks so much. Very thorough
Great vid, mine is on its way. Cant wait.
Can this be air gapped?
No
Bitbox02 or jade?
thank you
Great video.
Very helpful vid thanks
09:55 does the passphrase really only projects the device itself? I heard with a passphrase activated completely different Bitcoin-adresses are being created.
If this is the case you won't be able to buy a new device and recover it with the 24 words of the sim card, right? (if you activated the passphrase before)
edit: Ah ok, you answered it 2 seconds later 😁
The pass phrase creates a whole new wallet. The device is protected by a password
@@Btree33 Got it, thanks for answering.
I receive a lot of interests from holding bitcoins on the axisoption wallet platform.
good job
Great video, would of been nice to know the price unless I missed it.
I tend to not mention specific price points because a lot of viewers are from around the world and they often change too. Everything can be found on their website though! There's a link in the description.
@@BTCSessions fair enough.
I have a stupid question, Let's say I had 8 btc in my bitbox02, I took the backup and then transferred all the btc to another wallet, reset the bitbox and backup from microSD, what happens now? How many btc do I have? If 0, if this is hardware wallet, where exactly is btc stored? On hardware or server? If on hardware, then why is it 0 even after back up?
They would be in the other wallet you moved them too but on the blockchain. No funds are stored on the device only the private keys are.
❤Ben 🎉❤
20$ for 120k sats is very sad to see 😂
Out of stock! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
19:08 $0.95 fee on a $10 transaction ? 11.7% for "High Priority" ? I thought Bitcoin was going to get rid of high banking fees? This is more than the mafia is charging.
Bitcoin fees are based on computational space, not amount sent. I could have sent 5 billion dollars for the same $0.95.
Bitcoin first and foremost solves the problem of inflation (your money gradually becoming worthless because Central banks constantly print more). It also solves for censorship resistance - no one can stop you from sending or receiving funds. Finally it solves the issue of confiscation if you store it well.
In regards to cheap transactions, that isn't bitcoin's main goal (debit cards, credit cards, cash - these are all free to use, so it's not like people were trying to solve this problem in the first place) BUT with that said, you can do instant/nearly free transactions using a technology called the lightning network.
I did a video on a wallet called Phoenix which uses lightning. Check it out - it should give you the best of both worlds.
