Having bought a CTX5000 about a year ago , overall it is a great keyboard with great AiX chip , sounds and rythms.. Just needed a more robust keybed and a colour touchscreen.. Also would love to see a 76 key version one day.
The stock programmed organs are shit! Why can't casio get a real Hammond player to program some usable Hammond/Leslie sounds. I paid the extra for the mod button! Save your money and get the 3000 and a EH Lester K or neo vent. The pianos are really the best at this price point. All I have used Casio since the 80's! Come on Casio. I don't want to drag an extra keyboard around just for a passable Hammond Sound or spend hours tweeking. My 30 year old ensoniq dounds better! Please do a tutorial on it! I'm sure the keyboard has the capability!
Does it have pre-recorded songs that teach you how to play them? Is this a teaching piano as well? That is what I am looking for.. one that shows you where to put your fingers and go along with a song. Does this have any program like that or can I add one to the piano.
In theory, yes - but I still wouldn't recommend this keyboard for a learner as it's so complicated to use ...a real pain to be honest! For a serious learner, I think the Yamaha PSR-E373 is a much better option. It has vastly superior feeling in the keys, comparable sounds and a much simpler operating system. As for song-learning, I've never seen a decent system built into a keyboard for that. It's better to use iPad apps or a proper teacher ...should do that myself, in fact! Thanks for watching Gearfacts :)
@@gearfacts I know how to play lol I had a learning piano. I still have it actually lol It shows you where to put your fingers as you go along to the song. I learned a lot of songs that way. I have a Yamaha keyboard I bought over 15 years ago and it is still going strong but it is too big for me in my new home. That one is also hard to navigate but I managed lol Thanks for the info!
I wonder if it's just me, but despite the density of functions in this instrument and its sleek, high-quality look, the quality of the voices is really, really bad compared to the higher priced competition. I mean, many voices are even considerably below what you'll see on a PSR-E Yamaha, and those are just their entry-level line. I mean, this keyboard still sounds OK by mid-2000s standards I guess, and I'm sure it's granted to be tons of fun to play aroun on at home, but it just isn't up to par in terms of sounds for the discerning listener
Sounds are Good... Better than the CTK Series... Styles are... Meh... Not very well arranged... On Board speaker System is loud and very nice... Operating System is aweful... I owned the CTX 3000... And used the CTX 5000 for a while... I gave the CTX3000 away to a guy in need for a Keyboard.... He is very happy with it... I wasn't... If Casio will rewrite their O S and make this CTX series user Friendly and rearrange the Styles, tgen. I would considering buy another one...
Dear Casio's Technicians... If you are watching this video... Please build a CTX Midi Sound Module with all the CTX sounds and Fxs and call it CTX-MR.. Please?
And then if you saw his CTK-5000 video from a week ago you may have noticed that he called it a CT-X instead of CTK. Something tells me that some people actually can't differentiate the letters X and K.

Agreed :)
Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks for watching!
I will buy this keyboard for me to learn to play better, it is the symbol of the evolution of Casio
Same here!😃
Hi,... a good review and demo. I love my CTx-5000.
best wishes
Thanks Helmut :)
Please give us some insight to set up the rotary sounds for the organ
Wil do, CC. The thirds and final video is coming, just have to add some narrative to it.
Oh yes I second this!

Hello gearfacts can you please do part 2 of Casio ctx 5000?
Sure, I've scheduled it for 1am (Australian time, +10GMT). Hope you enjoy it :)
Is this casio like a Workstation, can you combine and make your own sounds on it whit Equalizer
Yes
They are actually better because they have more but I love my ctx-800😃🎶🎹!!!!!

Teclado bastante interessante
Muito bom! Teria outro vídeo com os timbres de synts etc?
Sim, fiz vários vídeos sobre o CT-X5000. Além disso, procure o CT-X3000, os sons são os mesmos :) Gearfacts

Gearfacts don't forget about the casio lk 220 keyboard

I totally agree. Yamaha is so easy to use but it just doesn't sound as good ...The PSR-E473 is coming though, that could be a real game-changer.

Sorry to be that guy boss, you said CTK-5000 instead of CTX in the beginning 😉
Ah dang it, did I? Hmm, bit hard to change it now...maybe I can get away with it! Thanks for telling me though :)
