      Yeah, and how did he do it? He won the Lego Masters show, which gave him 100,000 dollars, right? Well, that doesn't buy 9000 sets of Lego.
      And then he's supposedly an entrepreneur who owns several startups and works for Microsoft. Yeah......the guy is what, 16? I don't think so.
      When a child owns every set of Lego ever released (almost) there's something fishy going on.

    In regards to video vs photos, its probably a case where its much easier to ask someone to delete (or take down) a photo that contains something that shouldn't be there vs asking someone to edit or remove a whole video that happened to capture something inappropriate.

      @@xwiick Honestly, I don't feel like that plays a large role. The fact everything has been sorted by year of release and that the bookshelves are both stickered to hell with the years and with more ornamental signs on the wooden signs makes me think that thieves will be able to find whatever they end up wanting to steal.

    The mysterious part at the end reminds me of DUPLO Toolo or something from that era but it's not on Bricklink so it's either too old and not documented, an unused prototype or an in-house tool. No way Lego would include a screw and in that position it's obviously used to grip something cylindrical that's placed inside the hole. A clamping force from a screw could also be a danger hazard to be released as a toy anyway. Besides, if it's really 3d printed then you're sending us on a wild goose chase man...

    I accidently found a set they were missing, however! I went looking for the wolfpack set(s) and they did not have 1596-1 Ghostly Hideout. The archivist told me (after she took a day to look into it) it was because it was part of a Castle 3-Pack and thus not a standard retail set.

    Thanks so much for the vault tour! When you build your Lego museum, I can't help but think how successful it would be if you put it in Winter Haven, FL across the street from Legoland Florida or somewhere in Orlando near the flagship Disney Springs Lego Store. There are millions of tourists in these areas every year and many of the biggest Lego fans are already drawn to these areas!

    Honestly the video rule is probably for security reasons, I'm sure since the last videos were taken the security measures have been updated (especially since recently lego theft has actually become a fairly large industry) and while recording you could pan around an entire room and then look back over the video for all the security features. If the tour was guided, it would be REALLY hard to take a photo of everything, even doing your best, taking a photo of every single square foot of the ceiling or whatever would be incredibly difficult and the guide would likely notice you doing something odd like, taking a photo of a vent or a window or something. Notice how all your photos are on topic of the lego sets, and not really of the room itself. That's my guess. Casing a room is just easier when you know the exact layout, entries, exits, and security measures.

    I’m assuming that the “No Video” policy is to make it harder for potential thieves to learn the vault’s layout. Especially if they’re looking for specific sets to grab. Like yeah, they have them all in some sort of order by years, but it would be a lot quicker if the thief knew for certain that the set they were trying to steal was in the 4th row, left side, about 3/4 of the way in, and on the 2nd shelf from the bottom. From these photos, the only thing they can discern is possibly which shelf it is on (ie. 1st, 2nd, or 3rd from the bottom) and which sets are around it.

    • @RogerCharlamange
      @RogerCharlamange 4 місяці тому +2

      100% Lego theft has become much bigger lately, and likely they updated security measures since the last videos were allowed. A video allows you to really easily document the entire layout, and all of his photos focus on the legos themselves.

    Apparently lived under a rock and didn't realize you were on the Lego Masters and won! Sorry about that ... I'll catch up on streaming them someday. Anyway what Is perhaps especially inspirational is that someone that has spent so much time building Lego official sets that you managed to be part of a team that won a Lego Masters. I wouldn't have dreamed that someone who has spent so much time building official designed sets would even enter the Lego Masters competition. So a huge congrats and you have certainly inspired anyone who has ever bought an official set that its ok to cut your teeth on the sets on the toy store shelf and still end up a Lego Master. I suppose having as built as many sets as you have makes you the ingredient master in the team such that like a library collection manager you knew what pieces would be available to meet your team's vision and strategy for a MOC. Then all your set building experience means you build a lot faster than many others do. What I think I've never seen are any personal designs you have so I look forward to see how you participated in the Lego Masters and perhaps how your own creativity shines through each event. I don't think I've seen a single video of yours yet that didn't have something to do with an official set so this is something I really look forward to seeing in the Lego Masters series 4.
