Howdy ol Fudge Packard good video here, you hit the nail on the head when it comes to final prepping making the marks run lengthwise with the bend! Thank you for showing this. Also, an old timer taught me to take your good ole handy soap stone and run it across an old file and take the powder and slick up your test bend straps with it. A nice light coating, helps the process slide right along for less resistance when being plunged by the heart breaker 💪🏻 just don’t slop it on there so heavy that the strap looks suspicious or else you’ll be sent home before they even make it to the bender 🧐

Anymore I just clean them to safe to handle they don't like it they can weld the job themselves.
