    Nice flying! This is a plane that can really benefit from being on a gyro. Unless it is calm air or youre full throttle shooting through the air, this plane is bouncing all over the place with me really needing to be on the sticks. Replacing servos and going to elevons with the aileron throw on the wings barely moving has helped.

    You have become the master of mixes. But just because you CAN do something doesn't always equate to you SHOULD do something. You are a great pilot of RC and I like the vids. I can appreciate what you are doing with the flexibility of the programming. Don't stop doing that, but it's not for everyone for sure. BTW.. Scrape your own damn runway!!!!!!!!!! LOL All that time spent on programming your shit, but none on runway maint. SMDH!!!!!!!! LOL Great vids though. Keep em coming.

      This airport is a good distance from where we live. Factor in travel time, the fact that we don't own a tractor or the landscaping tools needed to clean tarmac (that we don't even own), etc - it's just not worth the effort when the models fly fine off what's already there.

  • @cwwisk
    @cwwisk 2 роки тому +1

    Do you have an "elevon gyro" set up on your tails? That may help stabilize the inverted fight and full-span flaps. The trick is going to be adjusting gains between flight modes, so you'd need to pick the right gyro. Nice flying!

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  2 роки тому +1

      The receiver I use is in the description - an AR10360T. It's fully stabilized. I just wasn't feeling the inverted performance and need to just suck it up and deal with it. Thanks!

    Hi John, thank you for your videos...Really following the spektrum forward programming videos. Very detailed and at my age, learning to fly jets is very interesting to say the least. Thank you. Have you ever worked with the eflite f-18 hornet rc plane? Having issues with it's flight characteristics, it's dialed in when flaps are down but at full throttle it is all over the map, rolls right huge. Flight mode 1 and 3 are at 140% priority on all surfaces. Your video helped with understanding what priority means. Thx very much. Also watch the f-22 vids, you have that plane dialed in...wondering do you change the stock rx on your planes or do you do all the programming with the rx that comes with the plane? Was thinking of changing the rx so I could have a channel for all surfaces on the F-18, but the powersafe RX from spektrum are overkill for a foamy edf jet(IMO-12-channels min needed for each surface to have a channel). I guess, if you are using a 6 channel RX, you must be mixing flaperons and tailerons somehow? I only know how to do it if the surfaces are on separate channels. Thanks again.

      We flew the E-flite Hornet once or twice and promptly binned it. It's no good in our viewpoint. With regard to the receiver, it's usually left stock unless a specific configuration is desired. • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  2 роки тому +1

      Check the stick cam as I perform it. Throttle back, judge the airspeed, pull the elevator stick all the way back, throttle back up when the nose drops. It takes a lot of practice to pull off correctly, plus you need full stab movement.

    I enjoy your videos even though most are over my head with the technology. Having said that I am interested in putting crow in my Habu SS
    Does this require an additional channel? I ask this because I'm trying to decide between a NX6 orNX8 Thanks in advance.

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks man! The Habu should already come with a six channel receiver. All you need to do is unlock it with the Spektrum programmer app and a USB cable, then reprogram it so it knows that you're using a flaperon wing type and can stabilize both flaperons instead of only one - you'll need to plug each servo into the channel the radio is expecting.

    • @papasplanes.956
      @papasplanes.956 2 роки тому +1

      @@TwoBrosRC Ok perfect. So it will use an additional channel. No problem because the Habu SS doesn't have gear. Part of my dilemma is I'm debating between an NX6 or NX8
      I dont see myself needing 8 channels especially since the NX6 has a 7th channel specifically for SAFE. Yes I have it on a switch. prefer not to use it but I will on new planes.
