    Pt Defiance is a great place to fish off the shore. Do it just as the tide changes (slack tide), preferably from low to incoming tide. The land drops off almost straight down and the currents will allow you to cast out into deeper water. When the tide is roaring you may be able to catch surface fish feeding. Be careful as its slippery out there and if you fall in you had better be wearing a life preserver.

      @@Honey-Sanchez I think I’d rather take the boat. Sounds a lot safer. What do you catch there? I’ve got kings and coho mostly from the boat but also rockfish.

      Thanks. It's not my boat. I joined freedom boat club. I just borrow a boat when I want. Don't have to worry about gas, cleaning or maintenance. Also don't have to store it or put it in. It suits my lifestyle.

    • @PeelingLine
      @PeelingLine  3 роки тому +1

      When you look at the tides plan to be there when the arcs aren’t very steep. Right around the tide changes you get a bit of time where the current isn’t too fast.

      Pt. Richmond is a great salmon spot. Go out about 1000 feet from shore a use a green Buzz-Bomb. Drop to the bottom and reel up 6 times. Now jig and wait. You'll only catch flounder and bullheads further in.
