My demon bolts came off easily with the Milwaukie 1/2 impact. Getting everything back together is the part that sucked
On my FX35, the flex section mesh thing fell off from both sides. i have 172K and the cat everything is still stock. shoudl i replace this like yours? Also to confirm are these your cat converters and would you pass an emissions inspection?
I have a Fx 35 as well and was wondering the same thing. Did dionostic check and it said the cat was bad but when I Google replacement it just pictured the pipe he replaced

I wouldn't recommend them they are cheaply made and the flex sections start to leak
My cat. conv. was just stolen and I'm wondering if it worth it to replace it with a pipe. I just want to reduce the noise rather than getting more HP. Does the pipe reduce the engine noise at all versus without the pipe nor the cat. Conv. installed ?? Also can you drive temporary without the cat., It seems the engine is roaring hard when I step on the gas, even lightly. Thank You for any feedback.

Would any pipe can do the job or has to be certain type, like the one you installed ? I saw this video and he uses a flexible exhaust tube and just clamed it on (link below, short video). BUT he only showed when he turned on the engine which is not too bad. It is extremely loud only when I step on the gas pedal. I don't see any warning light come on, BUT can you drive with the sensor got cut too ?? Thank you for your response.

In my town as long as you don't have a check engine light you will pass

At 6:16 that stud above the cats the plate do you know if its removable or do you have to trim it off for removal?
No you don't have to do anything to it.

@Braes Bal it's a stud welded to the body of the vehicle you can cut it or break if but your cat shield might rattle

Just curious about your the SR20, What happened to it? Were you able to fix the Oil Leak?
I still have my p11, I never fixed the pil leak. after looking closer at it it might just be a leaking valve cover

dont you need a tune to run these without running the car lean?
No tune needed the car runs rich if it throws a code if no code is set the ecu thinks everything is running as it should
I've been having nothing but lean codes everysince I installed a CAI and a 5/16th Blox plenum spacer. Way too much air is going into the mixture. But I've ready that it's actually normal, still sucks ass though

You can't get rid of completely unless you get cats again. Using resonated test pipes or good quality resonators will help

It says it’s the upstream sensor but it happened after installing test pipes I used foulers on the cat sensor and now I have two permanent codes for the upstream lol
@edwinrubio1681 no I didn't and personally I'm not familiar with that type of code. I would check if you have a leak at the header and test pipe flange

What size is that O2 socket
here's the part number for the tool. it's just a stand o2 sensor socket (J-36471-A)

You were able to get all 3 bolts from below? I heard there’s one you have to get through the engine bay? I have ISR test pipes I would like to save money and do it myself but I feel like it’s gonna be a bitch lol
yes I always remove them from the button, it's a bit difficult but I find it easier than the top. if you don't have a good set of tools I wouldn't try it since you might get frustrated

Bro I live in GA and we do emissions tests here will it pass with the $40 test pipes. Like did you have any check engine lights on. Also do you have a link to where you got your test pipes from?
You'll likely already resolved this issue. But it'll only have a cel light if the teat pipes you have don't have bungs for the text pipe. Some ppl use extensions which helps prolong the lifespan of the o2 sensor. You should have any issues after this. I'm getting test pipes in my G35X. I'm trying to find the cheapest resonated ones I can find. Then I'm using a 22 inch glasspack. I'm keeping everything stock from the glasspack back. With an exception of a never aftermarket muffler. I was worried it's breathe a drone. Key is to use a gasket sealer when connecting exhaust components. It helps with that Infamous trumpet drone on the majority of G35s. My intake already sounds wicked with a 5/16th Blox plenum spacer, throttle body spacer and if course cleaning out all of the carbon buildup in the plenum and upper and lower intake. I think if done correctly it can sound as gods if not better than any 1k aftermarket exhaust setup. I kept the stock exhaust from y-pipe back. I may get an aftermarket muffler though. Shit sounds sweet. It's lock stock but way deeper times. You can't loose. Plus check this you can get $98 be side for those cats! That pays for it alone. I'm also using a 22 inch glasspack to replace the stock resonator. The sound is night and day. Car sounds so much better man!
So here's what I did, I got a 22 inch magnaflow glasspack for like $50. Bout a decent megan exhaust for $50. Some ppl will use the midpipe/muffler on a coupe. Personally I think the aftermarket glasspack from a reputable brand is best. Most shops charge $40 to weld the new exhaust. As long as you non foulers and use atleast a 22 inch glasspack in place of the oem resonator it'll shave 20lbs. Then immhettjng a set of test pipes because fuck it. In Texas they do emissions but I live in a rural area. They don't give af so I have nothing to loose. Not too mention I can sell both cats for about $198! I'm hoping it will help with the car running lean. Either way I'm highly considering it.
