Once the disc has been connected to the app press the blue rectangle on the bottom portion of your screen to bring up an additional dialog box. On said dialog box press where it says "Flight Numbers" and you can edit them from this screen and save & name new presets.
I think your series is based on the distance your TechDisc says you can throw vs actual. Cool series, but in general please dont rely on what the distance algorithm says. Anyhow, 62mph is great. I need to figure out how to consistently do that. My golf line average (speed gun) is 59mph. Hey Pete, I like your content. Keep it up!
Hey thanks! Yes, that is what I am hopefully trying to communicate. Don't rely on the algorithm... get out in the field. Let the tech encourage and improve, but don't claim those numbers as reality. :D Thanks so much for watching!
I most often throw farther than what TechDisc says. I think it’s because I throw it into a net in my garage, which has a slick floor and I just throw harder when there’s an open field in front of me and a grippy surface under me. I think it’s an awesome tool that has for sure helped me train more effectively. I’m throwing harder and more consistently. At the end of the day you can only compare your tech disc numbers for nose angle speed and spin to previous tech disc sessions - you shouldn’t compare your real throws to the throw model. My biggest caution with tech disc is you can improve how you throw a lot in a short period which makes it hard to know your “standard throw”.
it’s all about perspective, considering the people I used to try to throw as far… the likes of Ken Climo etc. :-) there’s always somebody who can throw farther… and mine is heading in the reverse direction as I get older :-)
Huh?! What are you talking about lolol. Tons of disc golfers can bomb who you playing with?! 😅😂 very hilarious. I can throw 370 with my eyes closed on roller blades 😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I started playing thirty years ago and the guys I was playing with were people like in Ken Climo, Brad Hammock, Stan McDaniels and Lavone Wolfe who crushed the disc way farther than I ever could, even though my nickname was the "big armed monkey." Which means there is always someone faster, stronger and better out there. Yes, we have to push ourselves but also be realistic... the 370ft with a Buzz was a joke... I can throw pretty far, but Tech Disc saying I can throw it that far isn't realistic :D
Oh I am sure the flight of the actual Tech Disc is suspect at best with the puck glued to it... :D That is why I wanted to see what I could achieve with the 4 other Buzzes and whether it matched the readings I got with Tech Disc. The actual Tech Disc flew more stable the first time I took it out to the field and gave it a toss, but it was windier and I think it had a good ride on the wind and I was able to throw it over 320. However, on last Thursday's video in my backyard with the net, I was able to repeatedly throw over 350ft according to the algorithm, but that is not my real world experience with or without the puck :D. It does help me think about how I release the disc and hopefully give me some inspiration for what could be, but I am not going to claim I can throw a Buzz 370 ft because Tech Disc says I can. Hope that makes sense and thanks so much for watching!
I have shown in a few times in past videos... I have made a few for some folks. I was the prototype designer for the Kwik Stik that I gave to Lavone Wolfe and this is the foundational design that started that.
Thanks Pete
Any time

Nice video, quality editing. You have a nice throw. I have been loving that fission timelapse
Much appreciated! I have only thrown it a little bit. I need to put it through its pieces a little more. Thanks for watching.

That is a good word... thanks!
Thank you for the video.
Hope this comment helps your numbers.
I will take anything I can get... I can't be bought, but I can be rented! :D Thanks so much! Have a great day!
My max distance for a buzz is 386 can't get it further without hurting myself
You need to get more height on the disc.
thanks!
why cant 95% of disc golfers throw 370 with an 11 speed....

How in the world are you grabbing your discs. There’s no bending over….
Do you mean at the end? I have a custom disc grabber that I invented. :D
I think the Techdisc is flying differently than calculated because of the electronics glued to the bottom (making it more understable)
