Does this conversion work on a 79 arrow pickup? What calipers and brackets were used? Toyota?

I've never owned an Arrow, so I'm not sure. The calipers and brackets are just the factory ones on the truck. I've done this on a Nissan hardbody and this truck. Both were very similar. I've done a Mazda where I took the whole hub assembly with ball joints off a toyota and redrilled the Mazda upper and lower control arms for the ball joints. That would be another option if you can't get the bearings to fit and the brakes to line up.

Doesn’t the adapter plates in the back mess up the offset and fitment of the wheel compared to the front? It seems you would need a different offset in the front compared to the back to me.

It isn't noticeable, so I'm not worried about it for now. But I have a Toyota read end i'm going to stick in there pretty soon. The adaptors were just a temporary solution, because I am doing a few things to the rear-end before I put it in there and didn't have time. The main problem with the spacers, which has been true every time I have used 2 inch spacers is they are never perfectly made so they cause a little vibration. So I definitely wouldn't recommend them as any kind of permanent solution.

@@JohnHamerProjects I just can’t see putting spacers in when the offset two clear the inside of the fenders is already +40mm. If you add 2” that’s +60mm. It’s been really tough finding 6x5.5 for the 94 Mitz Mighty Max I bought yesterday. We have scoured the internet and local new and used. I think for my use 18x8 with +40mm would work, but impossible to find. I’ve considered factory takeoffs of other manufacturers but none that I can find would sit inside the tire well. Hence the reason I watched your video. I was considering the 5-lug swap options.

@@stumpbumpers That's why I did the 5 lug. I put front wheel drive rims on it. Don't know the offset, but they will definitely tuck once I put the rear end in, not with the spacers in the back though.
