The holley was a dead head regulator (no return) then i decided it would be better to have a return style regulator but i couldnt find one that would go down to 2.5 psi, the weber was the best thing i could have done to that truck, it got 25 mpg and would run 120 mph hahaha and the idle was soooo much better and it would start up with one pump of the gas pedal no matter what the weather was like, i cant say enough to explain how happy i was with that carb :)
I have same motor I need a head please help my 2.0 head cracked can't find another don't know what to do with truck 86 dodge g63b auto any ideas changing head or something any help would be great thanks
Can you explain why you have two regulators? I am going to put a weber carb and fuel regulator setup on my D50, and I'm trying to get some ideas. Also, it looks like you have the fuel line from the tank going to your mechanical pump, then to a fuel filter, then to the first regulator, then the next regulator, then the carb. Is this correct?
Did you notice a big difference after you installed the header? I have that same engine in my 1984 Mazda B2000, but I feel like the engine is not performing at it's best, even though it's been completely rebuilt.
When i bought the truck it had a stopped up converter that was made onto the manifold and a terrible mikuni solex carburetor that flooded out at every stop, so it was a big difference
I have this same engine, minus all the extras...can you tell me how or where to look to adjust this carb? After plugs, wires, thermostat, new battery and oil change, its still running rough and spitting black goop out of the tail pipe, Thanks in advance!
Im sorry i sold the truck a couple years ago and i dont remember exactly where everything on the carb is but if yours is still running that bad you should get a cheap timing light and make sure the distributor has no moved then if your spark plugs are still darker than a light brown you may need to change to one size smaller jets or move the float down a little
@@89lxfox331 i got an 82 d50. Looking for a carb found your post. Thanks for the info. Got any recommendation for websites to shop for parts. Need some body parts also
I have this truck now. I’ll be starting a build on it this fall
I'm doing my '87 rn. Brand new EVERYTHING. I love these trucks and they have gotten pretty rare.
Yep you got the fuel line routing right and it was a wix universal filter from oreillys

Which Flowmaster is that?
You must be thinking of a different truck, mine was a factory 4 speed manual
My '82 is a 2.6L 5 speed, 4WD.
haha, mine is a 4x4 auto but wont go into reverse and rolls in park
What u got for exhaust?
It was a pacesetter longtube header, 2 1/4" pipe, single in dual out 3 chamber flowmaster with 3" tips off my f150
Did the headers give you a decent amount of hp?
that truck used to be an automatic
