So happy I stumbled across Austin’s channel probably 5-6 years ago. Every upload is a highlight of my day, every time I get that notification, I smile. Seeing him grow not just his channel but seeing him start to grow his family. Makes your boy get a little teary eyed. See you in 2025 Austin!
Yes to your picks: - The Substance - Furiosa - Nosferatu - The Brutalist - Challengers - Dune Part 2 For the remaining four I’d go with: - Anora - Wicked - The Wild Robot - Hubdreds of Beavers
I love that Austin made a list of so many movies i havent heard of. The movies i did, were in your honourable mentions of your top 25-11 video. Brilliant. Not because its niche but because it has depth and sturdiness. 180 movies this year? Impressive
Honorable Mentions: 11-15: 15. Civil War 14. Challengers 13. It’s What’s Inside 12. Inside Out 2 11. Ghostlight My top 10: 10. Snack Shack 9. A Different Man 8. Alien Romulus 7. Didi 6. My Old Ass 5. Worthy list, Austin! Also PLEASE do a top 10 movies of the decade video, I would love to see that list. I'm still yet to see so many movies from this year and some are yet to release here in the UK but here is my list anyway based on insufficient viewings: 10. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 9. Longlegs 8. The Wild Robot 7. Sonic 3 6. Kill 5. Gladiator 2 4. Deadpool & Wolverine 3. Monkey Man (I seem to have connected with this movie a lot more than most it seems) 2. Furiosa 1. @leonthecanteen5443 I'm planning on watching a few films today, like Ghostlight, Hundreds of Beavers, and His Three Daughters. My list may change by the end of the day 😂
love you austin, thanks for all your hard work, didn't miss a single video of yours this year, really looking forward to seeing this channel and community grow even more next year, happy new year to you and the burke family xoxo weeeeeee
Appreciate the videos Austin. Please do a best of the decade list? International films/ movies that maybe arent very known? Most anticipated movies for 2025? Also maybe animated movies? Have a long watchlist for next year. some that appear to not even have a distributor yet, may they get picked up to be seen by us.
I'm a theater nerd and Ghostlight and Sing Sing were so moving to me on many levels. I wish more people were talking about Ghostlight. The Brutalist, Challengers, and The Substance are also in my top 10. The remainder of my top 10 are: His Three Daughters, The Outrun, A Real Pain, A Complete Unknown, and The Heretic. Anora just missed my top 10 too, haha. It's #11 for me.
Brother this is a rock solid list, so glad you are shining the spotlight on Ghostlight (see what I did?). This is basically my list except anora is my number one tho.
I admit I was a bit disappointed with you not being able to fit Anora in your Top 10, but I can't deny you have an awesome list, and the fact that you have Ghostlight in your 10 makes me so happy. That movie deserves to be seen by more people so thanks for mentioning it. Happy New Year Austin and continue delivering excellent content.
My favorite films of the year were The Substance and Dune part II. Thank you so much for mentioning Dune part II as your number one. I am a big fan of the Dune books and have read them several times. This film is absolutely epic in scope and it was one of the best cinematic experiences I have ever had. The Substance has a great message and is just plain fun. I am pleased with all of the recogniton that this film is getting. I hope to see both films nomimated at the Oscars this year.
1.- Dune Part Two 2.- The Wild Robot 3.- Memoir of a Snail 4.- The Substance 5.- Anora 6.- Conclave 7.- Sing Sing 8.- The Seed Of The Sacred Fig 9.- Flow 10.- Civil War

The Rubber Duckies: Film & TV Awards! It's an annual Awards Show on YT, where the public votes for the winners and MovieTubers announce the winners! Austin announced Best Picture two years ago! 😊
I think my faves are 1.Anora 2. Challengers 3. Dune 2 Love your channel Austin! Excited to follow along with awards season and another year of CINEMA! (No one is talking about your scorsese meme but it got a few chuckles out of me!)
Of the 71 films I watched, my entire top ten is in your ten/honorable mentions except…Smile 2 👀 (my number three after Dune: Part Two and Challengers). It’s admittedly not perfect, but man I thought the filmmakers stepped it up on every front compared to the original. So many memorably haunting scenes
Kill in Top 10, Let's Go, So Happy To See it in the list and even more happy that you enjoyed it so much, easily one of my favorites of the year, in all that action even the title card drop was just crazy!! and since you liked Kill, i am plugging in another Indian film which released on 20th dec called as "Marco" it is the quoted as one of the most violent action film of india, if it is playing in a theatre near you please watch it, if not give it a shot on streaming when it releases. this film is not for the faint hearted as it was really cool stylized action.
I only watched 40 new releases this year, so here is my top 10: 1 - Furiosa (the only movie that was really great for me personally) 2 - Inside Out 2 3 - Deadpool and Wolverine 4 - The Wild Robot 5 - Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 6 - Alien Romulus 7 - Young Woman and the Sea 8 - Dune part 2 9 - Wicked 10 - Ultraman Rising
Glad you had Ghostlight in there .. I've not seen Nosferatu, and Kill may not be my thing. The only one i can really disagree with is Furiosa. Good list
I have (according to imdb) seen 29 films released in 2024 and most of them are in the 8-9 range so really good films overall. A few misses like red one, beekeeper, joker 2, road house, abigail and lisa frankenstein. Most movies are released months later over in europe so I guess I will see some of these films in february or so, but I agree with you about the ones I have seen on here :P My indian "John Wick" film of the year is Monkey Man, that was a blast.
Hey Austin! Great List! Here is MY List! (Honorable Mentions) The Wild Robot, The Bikeriders, Immaculate, I Saw the TV Glow, & Nosferatu. #10. A Quiet Place: Day One #9. Young Woman and the Sea #8. Transformers One #7. Deadpool & Wolverine #6. Abigail #5. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga #4. Challengers #3. Wicked Part I #2. Inside Out 2 #1. Lisa Frankenstein
I live in México so still waiting for some films to be released here. So far I have Challengers, Dune Part II, The Substance, Anora, The WIld Robot, Kill t and Furiosa
2:37 Ghostlight was good. Thanks to letterboxd these days you get to hear about most movies that would have generally went unnoticed. I would suggest another movie from 2024, All we imagine as light (its a multilingual indian movie but not the usual kind of popular popcorn entertainers you might be familiar with when it comes to movies from India, more arthouse style)
Dune Part 2 - Yes! - it was an experience. Dune Part 1 got six Oscars, including Greig Fraser. I don't think the Academy will award these artists again, but they should.
My TOP 2024 2 Masterpieces. ⭐ DUNE 2 a perfect sequel to DUNE sublime grandiose. ⭐ FURIOSA the story of FURIOSA his childhood until his revenge on DEMENTUS. Flamboyant sublime Anya Taylor Joy incredible ALIEN ROMULUS ☆☆☆☆ The Lord of the Rings the Rohirrim War ☆☆☆☆ Planet of the APES the New Kingdom ☆☆☆☆ The Tale of Monte Cristo ☆☆☆☆ Poor Creatures ☆☆☆☆ The Savage Robot ☆☆☆☆ Deadpool & Wolverine ☆☆☆☆ A Quiet Place DAY 1 ☆☆☆ Civil War ☆☆☆
1. Dune: Part 2 - One of my new favorite movies of all time 2. Nosferstu 3. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 4. Longlegs 5. The Substance 6. Deadpool And Wolverine 7. Heretic 8. The Fall Guy 9. Abigail 10. Monkey Man Great year for movies especially for horror
My Personal top 10 unless i watch something tomorrow (I saw 83 movies that are 2024 releases) 10: Heretic 9: Alien Romulus 8: Deadpool & Wolverine 7: Hundreds of Beavers 6: Twisters 5: Late Night with the Devil 4: Strange Darling 3: Sonic the Hedgehog 3 2: The Substance 1: Kill
1. Furiosa 2. The Substance 3. Dune part two 4. The Wild Robot 5. The Fall Guy 6. Terrifier 3 7. Abigail 8. Alien Romulus 9. Longlegs 10. Deadpool & Wolverine
I just saw Nosferatu and it was freakin amazing. Here’s my updated list: Furiosa The Substance Dune part two The Wild Robot The Fall Guy Terrifier 3 Abigail Alien Romulus Nosferatu Longlegs Sorry DP&W. Great year for horror though.
Dune part 2 is hands down my favorite movie of the year. I knew the second the credits rolled that nothing was going to top it for me. When I waited out of the theater with my immediate family, I said, "Well, I guess movies peaked in March this year," and indeed they did. I've seen 51 movies from this year so far, and I still want to cram in a few more during the end of year down time (thank you for the recommendations btw because some on your lists I hadn't seen), but so far, my own top 10 and honorable mentions/round up to my top 25 are: 1. Dune part 2 2. Hundreds of Beavers 3. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 4. Nosferatu 5. The Promised Land (I still don't know if this is technically a 2023 or 2024 movie and never know how to judge that, but I'm counting it since that's what Rotten Tomatoes says) 6. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 7. Heretic 8. Rebel Ridge 9. The Order 10. The Wild Robot Honorable mentions: 1. The Fall Guy 2. Hit Man 3. Horizon: An American Saga part 1 4. Late Night With the Devil 5. Monkey Man 6. Juror #2 7. Land of Bad 8. Wicked 9. Bonhoeffer 10. Alien Romulus 11. Caddo Lake 12. A Complete Unknown 13. Deadpool & Wolverine 14. Twisters 15. Inside Out 2 I liked parts of Challengers a lot. I loved the music and how the tennis matches were shot, but that's about it. I didn't particularly love the story. I get what people like about it, but I just didn't think the individual fantastic parts added up to something I really enjoyed overall. I'd rewatch individual scenes before the movie as a whole. This and Gladiator 2 were close to honorable mentions/rounding out my top 25. I still want to see The Substance, Don't Expect Too Much From the End of the World, Super/Man, Strange Darling, Longlegs, Anora, The Beast, Flow, Kill, A Different Man, and The Brutalist, but I'll only get to a few of them before the year is out, so I'll have to get to the rest in the new year. I especially want to see The Brutalist, but no theater is showing it until next month, which is really disappointing. Oh well. Great list! I look forward to seeing more of your reviews in 2025!
I still have some movies I want to watch this year but nothing I think will crack my top 10, knowing my taste 1) Hundreds of Beavers 2) Sing Sing 3) Challengers 4) Deadpool and Wolverine 5) Kneecap 6) Wicked: Part One 7) Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl 8) Grand Theft Hamlet 9) Heretic 10) The Substance
Out of the ones in your top 10, I had The Substance, Challengers, Ghostlight, and Dune just outside of my 10. 1. The Bikeriders 2. The Fall Guy 3. His Three Daughters 4. Didi 5. Anora 6. The Last Stop in Yuma County 7. Maria 8. Thelma 9. Memoir of a Snail 10. Strange Darling Haven't seen The Brutalist, Nickel Boys, A Complete Unknown, Nosferatu, or a lot of the international movies yet
My favorites of the year! 1. Unsung Hero 2. The Wild Robot 3. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever 4. Wicked 5. The Fall Guy 6. IF 7. Inside Out 8. Twisters 9. Dune 2 10. Argylle
I have the same top 2. Dune Part 2 is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen in my life. It is the second movie I saw in theaters twice. First movie I saw 3 times in theater. Then, watched it again as soon as it came out to streaming. I cant wait to watch it in theaters again in a few years!
Revised, I just watched The Promised Land last night. That bumps Challengers down the #3. The Promised Land is an absolitrly beautiful masterpeice! You have to be willing to read subtitles as it is not in English, bht you will recognize Mads Micklesen as an actor. It was a 2023 movie but released in the US in 2024. Thus, a top 2024 movie.
If there was anything to 2024 release, it was the rise of DIY filmmaking and beautiful condensations to the past, present and future of the artform (nearly all of my picks are like this). Far more than any specific film, this year felt markedly different from the decade thus far. A lotta great movies too, far more than normal years for me. My List: Big Ones I Haven't Caught Yet: The Brutalist, Nosferatu, Eureka, The Seed of the Sacred Fig, Greice, About Dry Grasses, Grand Tour, No Other Land, The Shadowless Tower HM: Ghostlight (hell yes Austin!), Chime, Serpent's Path, Totem, REFORM!, Kottukkaali, Janet Planet, The People's Joker, Last Summer, Our Body, Menus-Plaisirs Los Troisgros 10. Malaikottai Valiban (Like Furiosa, it feels like the filmmaker smuggled a ton of money outta the studio system. Lijo Jose Pelissery stages superb action and chooses to tell so much character through it. In theory, this would be a great generational myth, but the chances of this getting its part 2 after flopping so hard are near impossible) 9. I Saw the TV Glow () 8. It's Not Me (Leos Carax collages through his life by way of Godard. It's warm, funny, insightful, and honest. What else could you ask for?) 7. Music (Textbook case of audience respect. Director Angela Schanelec uses the smallest possible gestures to such great affect that I broke down. Eternal images, probably will get better with each viewing.) 6. Evil Does Not Exist (Utterly beguiling.) 5. Cloud (LOVED all 3 of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's films this year but existential late-capitalist chiller turned scalper Reservoir Dogs thriller-action-comedy under his perfect filmmaking apparatus was pure euphoria.) 4. Soundtrack to a Coup d'Etat (A livewire frenzy through the Cold War through the lens of the musicians who the US government hired or didn't hire, 2.5 hours has never gone by as quickly and excitingly as it has here. Dense with information, perfectly edited, incredible playlist. Simply adored it.) 3. Do Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World (Radu Jude's dryly funny takedown of his home country. So many lovely details in the writing) 2. The Periphery of the Base (At under an hour, director Zhou Tao makes the work Chinese labourers in the Gobi Desert by not showing any of the work and turning it into a desert planet. Shots and camera moves that I've never seen before and will live with me forever. Stunning stunning work.) 1. Furiosa (Miraculous that George Miller threw out the aesthetic toolset of Fury Road and still managed to make a painterly, gripping, constantly compelling western. Ever since the month where I saw it 3 times, few days pass where I don't think about or watch some scenes from it. I would recommend it and Fury Road as a double feature, that's how I watch this movie now but it's still incredible.) my #1 would be Caught by the Tides, but I think that counts as a 2025 release. If Close Your Eyes counts as a 2024 release, then that far and away is my #1.
For the first time in a while, I can say that not one but TWO Czech movies are among my favorites of the year. Waves is such an important and timely film right now, and I can’t recommend it enough! 10. Anora 9. Civil War 8. Kneecap 7. Challengers 6. Furiosa 5. Out Lovely Pig Slaughter🇨🇿 4. The Wild Robot 3. Wicked 2. Waves🇨🇿 1. Dune: Part Two
I’ve seen so many radically different top 10s between you and the other critics I follow. I can’t say I’ve seen a year like this. Even though it might not be my #1, The Substance is the movie from 2024 I feel like people will still be talking about years from now.
Personally, my most favorite films of the year have to be: 11. *Hayao Miyazaki and The Heron* 9/10, The Boy and The Heron is one of my favorite films ever, and this documentary only made me love it all the more. (Tied for me between 10 and 11). 10. *Deadpool and Wolverine* 9/10, for all its flaws, I was constantly rewatching it. A love letter to Marvel and its films from before. 9. *Sing Sing* 9/10, interesting exploration of how art can set you free, neatly shot and directed, and great performances. 8. *Anora* 9/10, brilliant and compelling writing, interesting and engaging relationships, it’s the best A Cinderella Story yet lol. 7. *Perfect Days* 9/10, a chill, heartwarming, and sweet film with positive messages and vibes. 6. *The Wild Robot* 9/10, one of DreamWorks best. Emotional and phenomenal. Its themes of parenting and love were beautifully explored. 5. *Sonic The Hedgehog 3* 9/10, fan service galore, but the Sonic film I’ve been waiting on. It also had my most favorite third act I’ve seen all year. 4. *SPYxFAMILY Code: White* 9/10, I love the anime/manga, I’ve rewatched this a lot over the year. If I wanna get my quick dosage of the series, I can just rewatch it again and again. 3. *Hundreds of Beavers* 9/10, brilliant, hilarious, and a delightful throwback to old timey films with cartoon mayhem ensuing. 2. *My Hero Academia: You’re Next* 9/10, I’m biased over one of my favorite mangas ending, but this movie was just a blast. Big sequences, a great score, and it satisfyingly reemphasizes the core themes of the story. 1. *Dune Part Two* 9/10, visually stunning sci fi epicness, everything about the film is to praise, considering we don’t get many films of this caliber anymore. Honorable mentions: Challengers, Robot Dreams, Look Back, Flow, Lord of The Rings: War of The Rohirrim, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
like #839 Dune 2 could be in top 5 for all awards, but consensus for top 5 for awards seems to be; Anora, Brutalist ( Brody wins best actor) , Conclave, Perez and "pick em" for #5 (Dune, Sing Sing, The Challengers, Nickel Boys, Wicked, The Substance)
10.Late night with the Devil 9. Inside out 2 8. Godzilla X Kong 7. Abigail 6. Wicked 5. The Bikeriders 4. Furiosa 3. Horizon An American Saga chapter 1 2. Deadpool and Wolverine 1. Dune part 2 I hated Dune part 1 but part 2 was amazing I was totally blown away by it. The list will probably change as I've not seen Sonic 3 and Nosferatu yet hopefully in the next few days I will.
10: super/man the Christopher Reeve story: an emotional and inspiring documentary 9: kingdom of the planet of the apes: a well made epic apes movie that honors caesar extremely well 8: perfect days: an emotional and enjoyable slice of life movie 7: the wild robot: a great animated film that has a lot to say about parenthood and it throws some surprisingly dark humor in here 6: hundreds of beavers: a great wacky dark comedy 5: transformers one: a great animated prequel that tells the story of a friendship falling apart 4: wicked: a great musical that exceeded all my expectations 3: Deadpool and wolverine: a bloody, funny, and heartfelt Deadpool story that is grounded by this version of Logan 2: civil war: a dark and bleak story with great performances 1: dune part 2: a visual triumph on every level that does one kf of the best books of all time justice
Austin buddy, you earned my sub for mentioning Kill in your list 🎉

It’s admittedly not perfect, but man I thought the filmmakers stepped it up on every front compared to the original. So many memorably haunting scenes
Excellent picks .

Glad you had Ghostlight in there .. I've not seen Nosferatu, and Kill may not be my thing. The only one i can really disagree with is Furiosa. Good list
🫡🙌🏻
I LOVED Late Night with the Devil! I had forgotten all about it! Was blown away by the Substance, and LOVED Nosferatu.
I didn’t do very well guessing your top 10😂. Sure, top films of last 24 years(?) sounds fun!

Thanks, Austin. Please continue the monthly tier lists in 2025. 🍻
You got it. 🙏
Dune Part 2 - Yes! - it was an experience. Dune Part 1 got six Oscars, including Greig Fraser. I don't think the Academy will award these artists again, but they should.

Sorry DP&W. Great year for horror though.
Dune part 2 is hands down my favorite movie of the year. I knew the second the credits rolled that nothing was going to top it for me. When I waited out of the theater with my immediate family, I said, "Well, I guess movies peaked in March this year," and indeed they did.
I've seen 51 movies from this year so far, and I still want to cram in a few more during the end of year down time (thank you for the recommendations btw because some on your lists I hadn't seen), but so far, my own top 10 and honorable mentions/round up to my top 25 are:
1. Dune part 2
2. Hundreds of Beavers
3. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
4. Nosferatu
5. The Promised Land (I still don't know if this is technically a 2023 or 2024 movie and never know how to judge that, but I'm counting it since that's what Rotten Tomatoes says)
6. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
7. Heretic
8. Rebel Ridge
9. The Order
10. The Wild Robot
Honorable mentions:
1. The Fall Guy
2. Hit Man
3. Horizon: An American Saga part 1
4. Late Night With the Devil
5. Monkey Man
6. Juror #2
7. Land of Bad
8. Wicked
9. Bonhoeffer
10. Alien Romulus
11. Caddo Lake
12. A Complete Unknown
13. Deadpool & Wolverine
14. Twisters
15. Inside Out 2
I liked parts of Challengers a lot.
Yess, we need the 'Award Show' and 'TOP10 decade' videos!
So far my favorite movie is this year Civil War
Mine is also Dune 2, nice watching u this year Austin!
🫡 much love!
Good content...the voices....i cant make it to the end
Lmao
I still have some movies I want to watch this year but nothing I think will crack my top 10, knowing my taste
1) Hundreds of Beavers
2) Sing Sing
3) Challengers
4) Deadpool and Wolverine
5) Kneecap
6) Wicked: Part One
7) Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl
8) Grand Theft Hamlet
9) Heretic
10) The Substance
Out of the ones in your top 10, I had The Substance, Challengers, Ghostlight, and Dune just outside of my 10.
1. The Bikeriders
2. The Fall Guy
3. His Three Daughters
4. Didi
5. Anora
6. The Last Stop in Yuma County
7. Maria
8. Thelma
9. Memoir of a Snail
10. Strange Darling
Haven't seen The Brutalist, Nickel Boys, A Complete Unknown, Nosferatu, or a lot of the international movies yet
His Three Daughters was phenomenal. That film really stayed with me.
@@rebeccag8589 Wasn't expecting to have "Endlessly bawling to Five Little Ducks" on my bingo card
A man after my own heart, so many people seem surprisingly Luke warm about Dine 2, I also saw it multiple times! 19:31
Love the "this is cinema" meme - showing how cinema doesn't just mean one thing
1- The outrun
2- challengers
3- Blitz
4- fitting in
5- The sweet east
6- the children three
7- the American
My favorites of the year!
1. Unsung Hero
2. The Wild Robot
3. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
4. Wicked
5. The Fall Guy
6. IF
7. Inside Out
8. Twisters
9. Dune 2
10. Argylle
I have the same top 2. Dune Part 2 is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen in my life. It is the second movie I saw in theaters twice. First movie I saw 3 times in theater. Then, watched it again as soon as it came out to streaming. I cant wait to watch it in theaters again in a few years!
same. 1st ive seen 3x in theaters.
My List:
Big Ones I Haven't Caught Yet: The Brutalist, Nosferatu, Eureka, The Seed of the Sacred Fig, Greice, About Dry Grasses, Grand Tour, No Other Land, The Shadowless Tower
HM: Ghostlight (hell yes Austin!), Chime, Serpent's Path, Totem, REFORM!, Kottukkaali, Janet Planet, The People's Joker, Last Summer, Our Body, Menus-Plaisirs Los Troisgros
10. Malaikottai Valiban (Like Furiosa, it feels like the filmmaker smuggled a ton of money outta the studio system. Lijo Jose Pelissery stages superb action and chooses to tell so much character through it. In theory, this would be a great generational myth, but the chances of this getting its part 2 after flopping so hard are near impossible)
9. I Saw the TV Glow ()
8. It's Not Me (Leos Carax collages through his life by way of Godard. It's warm, funny, insightful, and honest. What else could you ask for?)
7. Music (Textbook case of audience respect. Director Angela Schanelec uses the smallest possible gestures to such great affect that I broke down. Eternal images, probably will get better with each viewing.)
6. Evil Does Not Exist (Utterly beguiling.)
5. Cloud (LOVED all 3 of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's films this year but existential late-capitalist chiller turned scalper Reservoir Dogs thriller-action-comedy under his perfect filmmaking apparatus was pure euphoria.)
4. Simply adored it.)
3. Do Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World (Radu Jude's dryly funny takedown of his home country. So many lovely details in the writing)
2. The Periphery of the Base (At under an hour, director Zhou Tao makes the work Chinese labourers in the Gobi Desert by not showing any of the work and turning it into a desert planet. Shots and camera moves that I've never seen before and will live with me forever. Stunning stunning work.)
1. Furiosa (Miraculous that George Miller threw out the aesthetic toolset of Fury Road and still managed to make a painterly, gripping, constantly compelling western. Ever since the month where I saw it 3 times, few days pass where I don't think about or watch some scenes from it. I would recommend it and Fury Road as a double feature, that's how I watch this movie now but it's still incredible.)
my #1 would be Caught by the Tides, but I think that counts as a 2025 release. If Close Your Eyes counts as a 2024 release, then that far and away is my #1.
For the first time in a while, I can say that not one but TWO Czech movies are among my favorites of the year. Waves is such an important and timely film right now, and I can’t recommend it enough!
10. Anora
9. Civil War
8. Kneecap
7. Challengers
6. Furiosa
5. Out Lovely Pig Slaughter🇨🇿
4. The Wild Robot
3. Wicked
2. Waves🇨🇿
1. Dune: Part Two
I’ve seen so many radically different top 10s between you and the other critics I follow. I can’t say I’ve seen a year like this. Even though it might not be my #1, The Substance is the movie from 2024 I feel like people will still be talking about years from now.
Heck yeah!
Personally, my most favorite films of the year have to be:
A movie that I vibed PERFECTLY to was Drive with Ryan Gossling
I’ve been begging for intermissions in movies. Separately, my friend and I couldn’t stop talking aboutabout Challengers for days.

Oh and yes, I would like to see that list of the best of the decade so far.
like #839 Dune 2 could be in top 5 for all awards, but consensus for top 5 for awards seems to be; Anora, Brutalist ( Brody wins best actor) , Conclave, Perez and "pick em" for #5 (Dune, Sing Sing, The Challengers, Nickel Boys, Wicked, The Substance)

Kill was an awesome film! I went to the cinema to watch and sadly there were only 4 more people there, it lasted a week.
10: super/man the Christopher Reeve story: an emotional and inspiring documentary
9: kingdom of the planet of the apes: a well made epic apes movie that honors caesar extremely well
8: perfect days: an emotional and enjoyable slice of life movie
7: the wild robot: a great animated film that has a lot to say about parenthood and it throws some surprisingly dark humor in here

5: transformers one: a great animated prequel that tells the story of a friendship falling apart
4: wicked: a great musical that exceeded all my expectations
3: Deadpool and wolverine: a bloody, funny, and heartfelt Deadpool story that is grounded by this version of Logan
2: civil war: a dark and bleak story with great performances
1: dune part 2: a visual triumph on every level that does one kf of the best books of all time justice
Challengers at 2 makes me happy that movie deserves so much more love.
