Omg Sandra - I honestly don't want to have a conversation involving incontinence knickers. Having said that, I'm 67 and probably didn't do nearly enough pelvic floor exercises back in my childbearing years. So if any comedian could make me wet my pants from laughing it would definitely be Billy Connolly, the funniest man on the planet. Wishing you all the best - none of us are well, including Billy. I personally am just glad I grew up with the 70s music and the fabulous 70s comedian Billy Connolly. xx

Billy is the world’s greatest stand-up comedian. No-one else comes close. A fearless entertainer whose observational stories and jokes resonate with just about everyone. He’s also a great natural actor. Thank God he was doing his stuff when he did because if he was a fresh new talent today I doubt many theatres or TV shows would touch him, despite the fact that he is more worldly wise than most of the ‘woke’ generation. Thank you Big Yin!

I'd only watched the shorter version thanks so much for his extended one. I grew up in Scotland and Billy was part of the furniture. Boy does he stand the test of time! 1 1/2 hours of solid standup! I bet a lot of those well known celebrities will have that event forever cemented in their memory.
Interesting to identify some in the audience - like Charles Dance for example, who always seems to play very serious parts now 40 years later - who clearly loved Billy's profane, scatological performance. Connolly would get quite a few grumblings back in the day because of the nature of his comedy but middle to older women seemed to just find the endearing in it.

Lots of people try to project something they see as a selling point. Billy Connolly said in his masterclass on comedy...Just be funny. I just can't stop laughing, this man has a rare gift, an absolute talent which is not of this world, one of the funniest people ever, I only have to think about him saying and doing funny things in my head, and role in the chair laughing my head off. Much love to my Billy Connolly. 😅❤😅❤😅❤😅

Billy Connolly has to be the funniest man on the planet IMHO. And I'm old enough to have had many comedians make me laugh. But Billy is the best. He goes on stage and talks rubbish for 2 hours and cracks everyone up. Including the biggest bunch of celebs ever seen in one small space. There's no "stage management", no PR, no one telling him what to do or say. He just gets up on stage and does what comes naturally to him. Love you Billy. You are a freaking legend. xxx

I've seen this several times, including the very first one. It seems like only a few years ago that I watched this the first time, as a very young teenager, and how it immediately influenced everything I said or did at school. Billy and Terry Jones, idle Cleese and of course the great spike milligan shaped my childhood mind forever. This is the big yin in his prime, his pomp. If you weren't there first time, then thank the Tim etc for making it available now.

I've just endured a few minutes of Jim Davidson - to confirm how bad he was; simply dreadful - and my reward is this.
As funny as I remember it; generous sprited hilarious a real social historian, articulate.
Funniest person I've ever seen. Brilliant.

Gut wrenchingy funny, when I first saw him live in Toronto..I'm English...I was startled by his language, I wasn't that familiar with his act. But he used it in such an appropriately funny way, I totally got it. I cried with laughter, been a fan ever since. This show was as funny.

I remember Billy in his earliest TV days, talking about toilets on a plane, and he called the contents, "A Jobbie Wheecher" flying out when the toilet was flushed, and the contents going everywhere, falling on pedestrians going about their business in the towns below! I was just HELPLESS with laughter, and if I feel a bit down in the dumps, watching Billy always does the trick and has me rolling around laughing!
