Wonderful, wonderful Parky. I'm from the U.S. but have watched Mr. Parkinson for years. He was the best ever. Thank you UA-cam for showing them. Please continue to do so. This particular show with Billy Connolly and Sir David Attenborough is a GEM of all time. Thank you Parky. A life well lived.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching that. I've seen it before and I remember it was good. I'm 67 now so obviously don't remember it verbatim. Turned off my main TV and Internet channels because I saw this on my feed, only meant to have a quick look. Going to find the gorillas and Sir David now. 😊
Too true Carlos. I came to watch this after just hearing an interview with Billy on Radio New Zealand National with Kim Hill. She's the best and Billy is wonderful.
Sorry but the host of this show is Parkinson,Parkinson is a British television chat show that was presented by Michael Parkinson. It was first shown on BBC1 from 19 June 1971 to 10 April 1982 and from 9 January 1998 to 24 April 2004.

such great television, Attenborough's passion is absolutely magnetic, it was wonderful to see him not interrupted by interviewer or guest providing comic relief...or the audience clapping something he said like it might today on a talk show,... they don't seem to be a platform for this kind of content anymore
I had the pleasure of Billy Connolly's company in a garage after his Usher Hall gig in Edinburgh and he's a good guy just what you would expect. The girl on the till invited him in for a coffee and he never missed a beat. Two minutes in the door he was one of the lads. There's a certain irony when they say art depicts life ... it's spot on. I love the way that Michael Attenborough speaks to the guest as well as the interviewer. Most "STARS" are only interested in themselves. An educated man we should be proud of. Actually both of them because Billy Connolly is without doubt the best psychologist on earth. Forget Freud, Connolly doesn't need to write books to make a person feel better.
Without question , Billy Connolly is the funniest man of them all. Absolutely side splittingly funny. I have been lucky enough to see him a few times and every time i was in tears of laughter. Anyone who does not think he is funny (see poolworld1 below) is either missing the part of the brain that deals with laughter, has had a full lobotomy or there is something else wrong with them. His travel docs are a great watch also. A shame that he now has Parkinson's disease, and will unlikely ever be the same again, but the memories and the jokes and the stories will live on forever and a day. Almost everybody will know one of his stories or jokes. Absolute legend who has inspired many modern, less funny, comedians to take it up. David Attenborough is also really enjoyable to watch, and takes a subject he is passionate about and brings it to the masses in a way few others could
"A shame that he now has Parkinson's disease", I think he'd find humor in that comment especially on the back of this clip being interviewed by PARKINSON :) but agreed very sad .
Gosh I love David Attenborough. I went to Leicester University where his father was the first Vice Chancellor because I wanted to be an ecologist being heavily influenced by Rachel Carson’s book ‘ Silent Spring ‘. Billy Connolly is SO funny too - a real ‘ working class hero ‘ and yet also a very serious actor with Judi Dench in the film ‘ Mrs Brown ‘.

cmac71. Totally agree! what a fantastic human being. (Without detracting from David Attenborough, whom I also find extremely entertaining)
Agreed, the best ever by a country mile.
Gosh I love David Attenborough. I went to Leicester University where his father was the first Vice Chancellor because I wanted to be an ecologist being heavily influenced by Rachel Carson’s book ‘ Silent Spring ‘.
Billy Connolly is SO funny too - a real ‘ working class hero ‘ and yet also a very serious actor with Judi Dench in the film ‘ Mrs Brown ‘.
the tune brought back mems , dont think theres been anyone who can replicate parky , with billy on , absolute bliss , could listen to billy for hours
Good show - David Attenborough was able to rub along with Billy and ultimately their similar outlook came to the fore.
Thanks for posting.
Billy was a major intellect of his own making, and Sir David is ... SIr David !
The best Parkie ever! My two favourite TV personalities together with the UK's best chat show host! The world is a better place for having those three in it. :)
Parkinsonism was the last great talk show host today's chat shows are all about the hosts worst Allan Carr etc think they are more interesting than their guests
Three extraordinary human beings ❤
Three brilliant men,,,,privileged to have such are we.
