If Nadu is a menace in your meta than you might consider building Horobi, Death's Wail!
The Nadu player can just target Horobi with one of their many ways first and then still go off after.
@@MrTea4 Most deck lists I've seen for Nadu are great at targeting their own creatures, not other players

I think Joe could have made a zombie and kept going with Nadu the turn he got Field of the Dead and the LG’s out
Field of the dead requires 7 differently named lands. He didn't have that. He was up to 6 by the end of his turn.
He also had no reason to fetch sol ring with Urza saga. it would fetch Shuko or another artifact that allows you to target a creature with an ability.
he really searched for sol ring instead of shuko?? i facepalmed so hard for him

missed some zombie triggers from field of the dead when it first came out. could of got some more triggers with nadu.

Field of the dead requires 7 differently named lands to begin triggering. He didn't have that.
Nadu made quite a few questionable decisions. Not getting the arbor tutoring sol ring instead of a shuko. I think he had the t3 attempt followed by a second attempt but the second attempt would have had a field of the dead on board
Looking at the decklist there is no shuko or Dryad Arbor in the Nadu deck. He could have tutored for an equipment wich equips for 1. Maybe he didn't want to draw to much attentions so I can understand the Sol Ring.
It also feels like the Nadu deck was wayyyy powered down compared to the other decks. Even without shuko any other tutor would be better and switching out baloths for springleaf woulda been better and still hit the price point of the deck fine. Truly a good example that highish power level is hard af to build up to even with price points and extremely practiced builders and player. Always a good vibe with these guys, but the Nadu deck more or less has clipped wings and doesn't show how gross it really is.

Nadu deck seemed nerfed, sol ring tutor was questionable. Decent game, but with the title being "can they stop Nadu" I was expecting a full power Nadu.

wouldn't the Rimewood Falls be the 7th land name for the Field of the dead? 23:26? It likely wouldn't change much, but the 1 zombie gives the nadu player hope to keep doing Simic BS.
No. The land he tutored for with the misty rainforest was an island. He already had an island. Differently named lands count was at 6 by the end of his turn. Not enough to trigger Field of the Dead.
@@Yasmat25y I know why I was miscounting... for some reason I thought he had Forest, island, swamp (maybe cause my field deck is Sultai I just figured that he had one of each); but that would be impossible in a U/G deck...
Which brings up the question...if he is running field, there should be snow lands as they have a different name. But that is not relevant to the board state.
@pleravens yeah. It definitely feels like he went with a not broken nadu build. The downside of building that way is a bad simic deck that doesn't do much.

23:15 Unless i'm mistaken, you can use a fetch land like Misty RainForest to fetch Dryad Arbor. At this point when he casts Natures Lore and Dryad Arbor is still not on field this game lost all my interest. i still have no idea what Jodah is doing here and i'm not staying to find out.
