tbh the precon goes hard youll just need to trim the fat of throw in chainer and apex devastator and your guchi and if you want an infinite combo get ancestral statue
@@hulud Greater Good is a must include. Might as well get even more card draw from your creatures dying. Most of the best options are already well known at this point, but I do have some funny options. Tree of Perdition because blitzing it out to smack some poor soul down to 13 life turn 3 is funny/terrifying and sends a message to the rest of the table. Kardur is actually pretty good at keeping attackers off your back when your board is empty, which it will be. And in that same vein there's Life of the Party, which isn't necessarily good but it is entertaining to watch alliances splinter because you gave everyone a knife they have to keep poking each other with.
Your video have single-handedly made me want a Henzie deck. In all of my games, I am the guy pleading for the life of my cards and begging to be left alone to do some ridiculous combo that results in me having more 45/45s with trample than God ever intended. It honestly sounds very fun and refreshing to play a deck where I absolutely do not care about anything getting removed because I fully intended to take them out behind the woodshed anyways. Thank you for your service.
Henzie + Umori Oops! All Creatures is true Jundscendancy. Playing at sorcery speed frees you of all responsibility to protect the table, for you are what the table will need protection from. Playing a turn 5 Apex Devastator, cascading into the most degenerate group of rat bastards is euphoric. It's like the show Party of Five but Scott Wolf, Neve Campbell, Matthew Fox, and Lacey Chabert were built like WWE Superstars and had the mouths of 13-year-olds on Xbox live.
I'll also say that the synergy with Birthing Pod and similar green spell make the deck capable of capitalize even more on death's trigger, giving you 1 draw + creature.
@@thedogfromraditude5449sacrifice triggers and death triggers are different, you would only get the one trigger from sacrificing a creature to it. (Unless you're sacrificing Protean Hulk which it's death trigger would be doubled)
some amazing lines in this one. "Kill another poor person over" "They will start gofundme's over your creature's medical bills". As someone with Elenda, Slimefoot, Zask, and Greasefang throwing my own creatures into woodchippers is one of my favorite past times and those lines really struck home for me.
This was unironically one of the better quick rundowns of what the point of your deck should be. The fact that it's coming from someone I usually go to for determinations on whether or not a specific commander can or cannot "get it" only makes it even more hilarious to me. I'd love to see a full 99 for Henzie or even just more of these for other commanders. (Especially Izzet but that's because I'm a spell slinging degenerate.)
I would love to see more breakdowns and guides about fun commanders like this. I tend to get stuck in a rut running tribal decks and your videos always bring out some interesting cards I never knew existed
A good starting point is getting the precon and checking out a series called cut rate commander that did a precon upgrade. The precon is solid out of the box though.
Would love more vids like this, perfect amount to get some good leads and avoid some obvious traps while getting the creative juices flowing for a cool commander deck.
I love how you basically described my already built Henzie deck to a T, makes me feel good about my card choices. Another good one is Protection Racket.
My friends gave me the Henzie precon to my birthday and I upgradet it alot I love it so much. I played with alot of different decks but Henzie gives me the most fun😊
I love this format as a follow up to roast, a short how to build is just really nice and fun! I'm not too invested in the idea of a longer format, but I'll check it out if it happens!
I've been looking for a new commander deck to make and this one seems like an absolute blast, so if you can make a longer video helping us learn how to lose our friend group I'd appreciate it!
Maldhound your content is the best. Wish you the best of luck in growing this channel. Not only do I come to laugh but I feel like I walk away with a better understanding on how to be hated and I am all here for it.
I actually would love to see a 15 minute or so breakdown with your energy. Love the style and if you can keep it up for that long then hats off to you. Edit: Yes I'm calling you out as a challenge, my question is can YOU get it?
I don't personally play Magic but watching interactions in card games is probably one of my favorite things. Seeing the Krenko decklist was honestly really fun and I would love to see what would actually go into a deck that wants to just throw big things at opponents that also make their lives miserable when they die.
you have a good combination of humor and advice in these so id like to see more of these, they also help get a good breakdown of a commanders strategies in a great bite sized way
I saw you play Henzie in a Tolarian video, and it was literally like love at first sight. I just finished my Henzie deck a few days ago, and it’s my new favorite deck. I genuinely don’t think I’m ever going to get tired of playing him. Thanks for showing us such a fun commander.
Would love a full 99 guide to Henzie. I've tended to find, since you want Henzie to die anyway, boardwipes like Shadow's Verdict, Massacre Girl and Blasphemous Act do wonders to keep your opponents boards as narrow as your own.
I've been considering a henzie deck and you may have just convinced me to go for it. The continuous flow of resources and barely caring about opponent's removal does sound very refreshing, and I did love building blitz at several draft events
Henzie is the first deck I put a lot of love and money. Magic is expensive in my country, so It took me almost two years to make something that looks like I wanted. Thanks for the video.
This style of chaotic deck analysis that gives specific examples yet describes broad strokes interactions so as to invite you to figure out how to put the specifics together rather than just describing all the exact cards to put in is always enjoyable to watch, and your comedic style makes it far more unique than most like this I've seen. I'd definitely like to see more o' this. (I also feel like a lot of the time people pick very well known commanders. I myself am not the type to have an encyclopedic knowledge of all of Magic history, so whether one's well known or not makes little difference to me, but I feel like you'd be equally interested in highlighting niche cards with very spicy mechanics, which I would strongly support.)
As someone teaching two of my friends about getting into commander. This is fantastic and a full 99 would be awesome. They both learnt heaps from seeing a part of your process and already seeing some great improvements in there deck building strength.
New to this channel and loving what I see, would love to see more videos like this; very fun and entertaining way to provide information and learn more about the game.
I like these slightly longer videos. It's a good balance between an exaggerated rant and a full deck tech. I do not have the attention span for a full 99 card analysis, but vibes? I'm here for vibes.
Henzie was my very first commander deck, and will always be one of my absolute favorites. Loved the breakdown you did here, it's always great seeing other people gush over the things you also enjoy. I think seeing a full decklist would be great, Gorex is an absolute monster of a card and I would be very interested to see any other interesting picks you have to freshen up my old list.
Would love a full deck profile. One of my friends has been struggling to make Ziatora work as a commander and I think Henzie would be a better commander for his deck.
Yo us henzi mains eating well a card review and honestly super solid henzi fundamentals video. Gotta share the love and keep up the 1 2 punches of great humor and amazing deck tech
Also personal preference but I love running board wipe tribal and laughing as my opponent losses 10+ creatures and I just put henzi back in the command zone where he'll just come back more powerful than before
I just found your channel, and 99% of the content just has me rolling on the floor hoping that some fine young thang comes by to step on me. But this however, this was educational. I could watch so many of these; more please.
this is a full commendation and recommendation from me, a random maldhound enjoyer, to craft a full 99 card commander guide for any and all commanders you deem cool enough
loving the longer form content as well. I might have to build this deck because running dumb bombs that just crack people across the face is the kind of shit I live for
Totally unrelated to the cards, but I saw the Eragon books on the shelf and was blasted to the past. Loved those books when I read them back in school all those years ago
My absolute favorite deck is my Henzie deck, I've been nonstop tinkering with it since he was released. And Mald here is spitting nothing but facts, Henzie is the most fun war criminal there is. My friends hate me.
This was great. You tempted me into building another jund list, would love to see what you can do in a longer 99 cards vid on jund and it's many crimes against nature.
I only want the full episode if it’s full of the usual humor and hilarious delivery. I don’t care if you have to reuse jokes, they’re funny the fourth time I watch your shorts anyway.
Would love a full 99 card henzie guide honestly. Jund is my favorite color combo, so I desire to bring warcrimes upon my foes.
Get that Umori companion tooo
tbh the precon goes hard youll just need to trim the fat of throw in chainer and apex devastator and your guchi and if you want an infinite combo get ancestral statue

I would like to see the full 99 card episode.

"How to lose friends in 99 cards or less" is a show I'd definitely watch. Please make more!
Your previous roast of Henzie made me want to build him so bad! Would absolutely appreciate a more long form primer on this gremlin!
