I don't know why they didn't bring back the PvE gamemodes like they had in Infinity. Those were hella fun.

Really miss the game modes in ace combat infinity where it was just your team against another to see who could blow the most stuff up

dat boi I can take 2-3 parts for standard missiles and take them against QAAM spamming 22s and beat them most of the time. Don't underestimate them.

I actually prefer matches without SP weapons. At that point it's based on skill and nobody can complain "Well you used special weapon X which is worse than special weapon Y". Plus I feel it's just fun
I think all the SP weapons have some merit, you just gotta figure out how to use them well. HVAAs can be good, if you know what you are doing. EML is amazing, but easially counterplayed by just wiggling around just a little bit, even less than what's required to dodge a missile. SAAMs are really good for long range or mid range sniping. Multi target missils can be used to make alot of attempts to hit everyone. HPAAs seem to be the only ones that get the short end of the atick really, since that extra damage isn't too useful.
Agreed, I wish I could allow certain ones for example the 4aams and such.
Yeah, I wish you could ban certain weapons and aircraft but keep other ones. I would love a mode where you could play unlimited cost but the X-02, F-22, and Su-57 are banned, and you cannot use SAAMs, QAAMs, and EMLs.

I said before and I'll say it again. Assault Horizon has a better multiplayer than 7 even with that god awful DFM everywhere. It has bots, more maps, time and score settings, 16 player matches, more game modes and more maps.
I want to like 7's multiplayer but honestly I had more fun in Assault Horizon.
So much fkin agree, everyone keeps throwing sh1t at ACAH's multiplayer, but it was 10x times bette than AC7's
The setup for AH's MP was better I agree, but the actual balance of it was abysmal once they added pay to win dlc aircraft skins.
I liked AH's multiplayer. Imagine if Capital Conquest came back but without DFM/ASM

Actually, my favorite set I've used since ACIF is the missile all-in set, even when SP.W is allowed. Nothing more satisfying than to troll enemy players with constant high homing missile alerts ;)
In fact, they're quite useful when you max up its capabilities.
If I, I just focus on armor and misc part only, especially the best part is High-Speed Data Link Antenna for more improved the Standard Missile. If the part for body, I just choose enhances the pitch and roll or choose the Bulletproof Fuel Tank if you've got one slot left.

Tip if you have a SU57 firing pulse lasers at you or a yellow 13 melting you down with his laser then make sure you fly into the clouds

I got to use a laser once and as soon as I did every player on the map came after me firing QAAM's. I was wondering what the fuck that was all about because I have to track and keep it on a target, hoping they dont disappear in a cloud... But nooooo TLS OP gotta stop him with all the QAAM's.

Lasers are awful in this game, at least the TLS is. PLSL's are okay.

Just copy the Arsenal Bird, put a map that is just nothing, but ocean. Then paste four of them in with each being a different color.

Mig-31 Is an absolute beast. Its untouchable lol (Lower Tiers)
In unlimited matches top tier planes are fast enough to keep in range for a while, where they fire upgraded QAAMs that you can't outrun or out-turn. And if you do turn to evade, they'll catch up with you and you'll be swarmed with endless QAAMs until you inevitably die soon after. ;_;

The multiplayer in this game is so painfully weak.
Its because its not a huge juggernaut in online multiplayer like CoD or battlefield, back when they were. And the series isn't that popular in general which is sad.

I wish they carried over the multiplayer from Ace Combat Infinity when it comes to game types. I missed the game mode where we are on teams and try to gain the most points shooting each other and air/ground AI targets.
Infinity sucked, and if your idea of "good" is fighting defenseless braindead bots, then it is your piloting that is painfully weak.
I like it still playing over a year later plenty of good competition out there for a fun dogfight

Thanks for the video man. I just started MP today, and to avoid the hassle I went straight to the unlimited lobby. Little did I know haha. Shot a top ace but I soon realized that was indeed beginners luck haha. Super fun with the VR set (cinema mode) and Hotas! (even when constantly dying you can still progress which is nice) :D

the F15s are really maneuverable as they are
id recommend a really simple and fun build for 2000 sp.w. enabled rooms:
F15 with HCAA special, and one SP.W.Homing upgrade. that just puts it at 2000, you get 50 special missoles with good speed, homing and reload, making it really comfortable to play
only thing is the multiplayer homing upgrade, that i feel like is fairly early on the mp tree
I usually play on sub-2000 with the F-4. It can be surprisingly good, I won quite a lot with it. Usually I play MSL-only lobbies so I set it up with the GPBs to save cost.
Lvl 2 ramjet propulsion for the standard missiles + as many things as you can add to boost tracking can turn your missiles from a short term nuisance into a perpetually circling pain in the ass.
I haven't played very many ace combat games but an interesting strategy that I employ sometimes is trying to get a players attention then fly in a straight line, quickly turn around and get perfectly head on with them and fire as much as you can
Also on the point of Missile Only matches, a strategy that usually works for me is to get a decently rounded plane and upgrade your missiles, maneuverability, and your speed (I main the F/A-18 just because I have a particular affinity for that jet). Then minimize the amount of turn fights you get into and try to let the battle play out without forcing anything too much (remember: "read the tide of battle). Why should you minimize turn fights? If you slow down too much you'll be a sitting duck against enemy missiles that are upgraded considerably. The same goes for everyone else if you have good missiles; try to pick the slowest moving plane and engage them. If it works great, if not fly around for another shot; chances are if they're target fixated and trying to turnfight they'll be easy pickings the next time around. And if they stall? Free points, baby! Just remember to keep your speed up and look for opportunities when they come about. Trust me, in Battle Royale, there will be plenty of 'em.
Finally! I was looking for someone to say anything about how to get the best out of my fav jet the F18, so far i have tried the eml but with no upgrades, got my ass handed to me. Then i did a few no sp matches and got mvp on one. But even when im in the 2250 or 2500 and less it seems like the hornet is so damn slow compared to everyone, i can dodge shit all day but i cant get on someones ass haha do i just need to unlock all the engine and speed upgrades or what?
@@marked4death076 for EML sets max out your maneuverability. You'll need that more than ever since the Hornets default stat is mediocre. Get the power, hitbox, and reload parts installed for the EML too
Also worth nothing this playstyle works great with HVAAs
@@windyman56 i think i just got one of the F15s with HVAAs, you saying max out that same stuff and try it out? Im defenitely stubborn and want to go to battle with either my fav hornet, or ill settle for the best F 15, i dont care if it costs me many losses haha

What's a good counterplay to QaaM spam?
I’m going to explain this further in the future, but in short: stick close to the ground and mountains - QAAMs will hit the terrain instead of you!
high maneuver plane and stay out of the ball of planes. shoot in and out of the ball like a swordfish kills sardines. in and out.
SASM with power and homing buffs lol. You don’t even have to hit them. Usually you can nick someone’s kill if they are already damaged .
Or just do no SP lobbys, Its what I do to avoid the Qaam and EML spam. Still wish the standard missiles couldnt become qaams though

I win with 15 Eagle SASM against F22 QAAM every time. But really, we do need some more multiplayer options and modes soon.
I remember in Ace Combat Infinity, you could upgrade your standard missiles with a certain combination of homing parts to make them "behave like QAAMs" to the point where the missiles would stay on target even if they overshot. Could you still do that in Ace Combat 7? I would prefer that they didn't have that in the game. If you CAN still make such modifications to standard missiles in AC7... well, it's just something to note.
You can make them good, very good, but not QAAM-good.
The most important is use always the clouds, the clouds are best counter missiles even compare with the flares.

Parts tutorials next please. Still confused about all the multiplayer parts and whats worth using.
Here's a tip I wished I figured out earlier:
Don't rely on High-G turns too much. You will be an easy target if you do and stall out. Try assigning it to both triggers and never use it unless you really need it. This will help to aim more accurately up close.
What do you think of flight distance vs. flight speed for missiles? Will flight speed affect homing? Is flight distance useful?

Eurofighter Typhoon with all the lvl2 upgrade parts for the standard missile absolutely clubs F22s and X-02s
My biggest issue is the air burst. The upgrades you can give the standard missile basically make it the qaam and it's not that difficult to deal with other than patience but the airbursts are guaranteed scratches? I like the MGSV tech tree but they went a little overboard, especially when you have 2/3rths the lobby on you.

Hey, so i played this match not too long ago today. I was an F16 v an F15C. The guy's plane kept dancing around the screen like it was lagging. I couldn't manage to hit him even when i had him in a straight line. Wtf?
Try the adf-11f Raven while spamming qaams allover the map.
Good video overall but here are some gripes I have with it, also some general knowledge.
If you don't want to get killed by EML users like myself it's quite easy, don't fly predictably. Unless you're flying in a straight line towards or away from us we have to lead by a good amount and we have to position ourselves properly. Getting killed by EML is annoying yes, because you don't get a warning, but it's not overpowered. It's a skill cannon. It's not like the QAAMs.
Also standard missiles are definately not worth ignoring. When properly set up they are really really good. I have more than x3 kills with standard missiles than any other weapon. Noone should rely mainly on their SPW. You're just holding yourself back. Also if set up properly the F15s can dogfight high tier aircraft, especially the F15E.
I feel like you gave some false information on your video so you don't don't need to worry so much about players getting good and using these tips against you. It's smart but shady.
Yeah ive definitely gotten my ass kicked by F15s and done some ass kicking. Theyre definitely worth using.
I get more kills with my standard MSL as well. I typically use 4QAAM to make as many enemies as possible go defensive and then use standard for the actual kills
to be honest i find the 6 & 8 AAM's much more annoying than a QAAM user i say that being a HVAA YF-23 user or if i wanna be stupid A-10 with Gun parts & acceleration/turning parts or MiG-31B Foxhound with Speed/ LAAM cheese
Jinking is the best way to dodge EML, especially because the X2 has ass maneuverability at high speed.

I do that quite a bit ha. It's a pain in the ass but grabbing an MVP once in awhile is so. worth it
I use a su47 with qaam in multiplayer mainly yet some f22s with qaam i meet multiplayer can one shot me while i need 2-3 hits. Do i need to buff up my qaam?
I use damage, speed and flight distance mods, nothing can stand more than 2 hits of my QAAM's

Not enough people playing AC7 on PC. Lobbies are usually empty, and I can't even find matches half the time. Still, I'm going to try making lobbies with point restrictions and see if that helps against all the EML snipers and highly maneuverable upgraded enemies.
the aircraft total only matters to new players. aces will have no problem running the lower planes on unlimited matches. the f4e will have no problem bringing down the higher class planes.

The F4 can indeed trash good F22 pilots if you set it up well. Its got a great Special.
I use the f15c I think. It’s the special missile that explodes close to the jet instead of actually hitting the jet just like real life. I maxed out that special missile and it’s so far the best set up I have. I like the begging of matches because I pick someone who’s coming right at me like a joust. And I know no matter what they do my 2 missiles will explode and kill him and he has no way to evade. And all I do Is dodge their missile.
I recked a whole lobby with the F 15c and the host kicked me lol. I was flying around like Mr X
I won a 2v1 in a mig 21 with the final score 38,500 - 3600 in my favor, lol. They kicked me after too.

I love how at 5:16, ACF had the *GOLDEN* opportunity to shoot down the Belkan fighter, but spares it and shoots down the F/A 18 instead.

use su30sm with qaam and just missile upgrades and compete in low point matches only :)

How do I set up my parts on f-22 raptor. My missile takes to long to reload and it’s not too fast .how do I make it faster. And what’s lvl 1 and lvl 2
There's a part that reduces the reload time of your standard missiles. For speed, they're plenty of engine upgrades, I'd recommend the variable cycle engine and next-gen high pressure components. Lvl 1 and 2 parts are their level, Lvl 2 parts give an overall better increase in stats but have a higher cost. Parts I would personally recommend for your Raptor would be Cutting-Edge Airbrakes, Variable Cycle Engine, ECU Software Update, and you could choose Flap Actuators or Superior Maneuverability, or you could choose both for maximum mobility. However, keep in mind you want to save upgrade slots for missile upgrades. How you set that up is entirely up to you buddy :)

Silly lock-on speed is the king! When an enemy enters your field of view you can snap lock on it and shoot immediately giving it no time to react.
You can free up an extra 50 points on your aircraft in the "special weapons disabled" lobbies by selecting a non air-to-air weapon as your special. It's disgusting what parts you can put on an F-16C in a 2000 cap lobby with bombs as your special.
I've been winning about 90% of my unlimited cost matches with an X-02 EML build, if you can aim it it's busted AF. I do tend to have more fun in the lower cost matches though, although I'm not a huge fan of the no special weapon lobbies.

Step Two: add modifications to make standard missels act like QAAMs
Shhh! dont spread that, if people found out its low key the best fighter in the game how am I going to rack up points knocking out 22s, 57s, and X-02s that think the 21 cant fight?
You’re not kidding, I kick so much ass with the MiG-21 because I can stay inside other planes’ turning circles and keep spamming missiles at them at a steady rate. Also the fact that it has 6 flares doesn’t hurt

Standard missiles are used as a means to push players into the path of your special, not to mention adding to the pressure of your target. So no, not useless at all.
so anyone like the tactic called joust in a Mig-31? it works well with SAAM or the EML.

I often see people do well in the F-14 with LAAM missiles. I have a video where I used the X-02 with EML but that tomcat still managed to take me down a couple times

Nerf the fuck out of qaams, add a gamemode like infinity, where a team takes on a huge mape filled to the brim with ground and air enemies, so we can use the attackers and air to ground weapons, keep the fuel system far the fuck away, add a repeating plane limit for tdm and free for all- no more then two high teir at once, f22 x02s for example, bring back ALL superplanes for campaign and multiplayer, and more standard aircrafts. Coop campaign. Did i miss anything?

Today i had my first online match. It was TDM. I used Mihaly's SU-30SM with QAAM. I killed a X-02S 1 or 2 times (it was a small lobby). I was MVP
Edit: i was hit by a missile once, but i wasn't shot down. I was on the X-02S's six all the time, but my ally (SU-47) was helping me when the enemy respawned (he was there and the enemy focused on him, so i could get his six)

In that first clip with the missile warnings are players using a special setup for the missiles to be circling the players like that? I swear my missiles don't do that

When are they going to add more to multiplayer, like joint operations, or something more than just the spiral dogfighting. Maxed out the trees already, and got good with meny meny aircraft, but its getting boring
One time I was in a team death match trying to get the special skin for the typhoon ya know the one you need to sortie 25 times for anyway in one of my games SOMEONE WAS ON MY TEAM USING AN A10 WITH UGBS LIKE WTF BRO
