6:40 if the battery has a smart BMS, which most likely the CHI battery will have especially at that power level, you can turn off the output of the battery from the BMS app. CHI has used Daly BMS in the past but the newer batteries might also have an ANT or JK BMS, i'm not 100% sure but you can ask them to give you the app. That way you don't need a breaker and you can simply turn off the battery when you will work on the bike or before plugging/unplugging it from the bike. I've done this on my 12kw Qulbix battery for the past 3 years and never had an issue or the need of installing a breaker
@@sentrybike Thanx! yah I have 3 hub motor bikes and none use a breaker. Only surron and ERIDE.. When i get the chi for the eride pro, I’ll prolly just remove it.
I am not huge into electric bikes but you make them interesting. Your videos on them are the only ones I watch. I think part of that has to do with the fact I like you as a person and such. :)
Love the ebike content. I hope the prices on these things comes down a lot in the next few years. They are a bit out my price range right now, but holy shit I want one.
Definitely stick with Torp or Ebmx for a controller and or motor. Torps got the new tm40 peaking at 42kw, ebmx is lacking right now with their motor "only" maxing out at 35kw but they have a new version of it coming soon that will match that 42kw figure from torp
You got enough spare parts in the cast off pile to build a whole bike from yet? By my count it looks like your essentially just missing a extra frame...😂
So no license plate or registration needed? Man you cant even change a screw in Germany without having it checked and written in your documents to drive legally IF its found to be legal at all 😅
Just use a breaker rated for a house or a high output spotlight. I wonder if a used one from a Tesla model 3 could be retrofitted. No clue how big one of those is. They just must have parts around... Also, I hate telling people to get a wireless mic, but your low tone makes you hard to hear sometimes, I have the same issue with speaking loud enough at times. Also the music was so loud it was drowning you out half way through, I know it was misc dialogue, but it takes away from the content when I'm struggling to hear you in some form. Looking forward to PNY collab.
Not to be overly pedantic but wouldn't it be more of an "enable" switch rather than an "Ignition" switch since there's no internal combustion engine? There's no real combustion in an electric system unless something goes horribly wrong.
@@bobes919 lol, I’m not wearing cheek pads here man and with the weight of the osmo it was little wobbly that day. That x-lite helmet is a perfect fit actually with the cheek pads in.
Hello Vince, great video, also, please update us on your PNY rtx 5090 kingping edition, im sure there are lots of people wanting to hear more info about your future gpu endeavor. Cheers
youre already more comfortable talking on camera, love the bike content
As you were sliding the battery in the bike I thought "I wonder if he's going to edit in an explosion when he plugs it in", you didn't disappoint.
Damn son, you have the suspension dialed in like a MoFo. 😮 good job, Vincent!!!

And what's he do?
That's it, you're lookin at it, he just looks slick all day.

Nice vid! What’s the range on that standard version of the battery?
YA made me fucking jump when you connected the battery, ha ha ha!!!
14:32 your helmet seems loose?
It sounds like its running a sequential gearbox.
Hi can I please have the bike thank you
can i ask where you got the higher rated breaker or the specific model name? can't find one anywhere it seems lol
I bought them locally and I also found a seller on EBAY. I added a link to the ebay seller in the description.
@ thanks a lot dude!

would like to see you on a real bike you got skills
Rule one- don't slow down or look at the black n' whites... that way if you do get pinched you can claim you were just riding, not evading.

Oh final sidenote, Batteries are not equal. If Japanese or Korean company makes a cell for that bike it will be the best
It's wireless mic, still my voice is super low haha. I'll bring it up more. Thanx for the input..
I hear him just fine. The audio sounds plenty good to me. Are you using a lav mic, Vince? If so, what kind?
