I love this idea, it's a great way of showcasing the 2nd ed rules and the special characters' quirks without having to run through a whole army-scale battle report. Marneus vs Margaret was a great start, hoping to see many more - you never know which way the dice will fall but I reckon Kharn the Betrayer would be a daunting prospect.

@@Miniscape-wh40k I did indeed - so far as I know it's never been confirmed that 'Mag Uruk Thraka' was a deliberate reference to Margaret Thatcher, but it makes me laugh so I continue to believe that's Ghaz's true name.

I probably will at some point. The issue is, compared with other videos I made, this flopped and it was so much more effort. I need to maximise the effect of my limited time.

Not sure if I missed it but couldn't remember seeing Gaz's total points value and whether it was very slanted towards Calgar, seemed like a pretty fair fight 🦾

I feel for Calgar! I get the exact same burning feeling followed by awakening somewhere else too🧐; For me it is caused by forgetting to take my Meds and not caused by magic or teleportation, you see i have a form of PTSD, my therapist thinks it's because i saw those horrendous Disney Star Wars sequels! I'm currently seeking legal advise and plan to sue that Evil Mouse though. Anyway if Ghazghkull was smart! He would have known, that a Squig past it's best cause explosive diarrhoea and not hallucinations! But he is a filthy green skin though and they aren't to bright 🤔so i'll cut him some slack "Cut his filthy Zeno throat more like!!" Anyway brother Matthew, that was a very nice battle and i look forward to more duels to the death. 😁👍 Do you think you could do a Squig vs Snotling duel? Maybe as an April fools video?😲

Oooh, this is the one. I'm putting my money on Calgar and his fists, 2nd Ed Calgar was a bruiser.
is it just me or does anyone else think Calgar with his equipment/gear worked out better in 2nd ed than in third? I remember using him in 3rd and being very underwhelmed by him just basically having power armor, power fist, and storm bolter.

Just because, you know, it's 'no holds barred' because the phrase comes from wrestlin'. No holes barred is from, a wholly other industry that also involves mostly naked, greasey people energetically grabbing each other. I am 100% aware you probably meant that as a joke. I mention it mostly for, you know, THEM, the ones with digital eyes, the Watchers in the Aethernet...
Skipping the Waarrrararrrrrrrgggghhhhh! rules was entirely suitable. I don't think you could, technically, field an army composed solely of Gary Thrakka, so, I'd be reasonably comfortable saying that rule assumes Orky feedback from the Ladz.
Think I'd have been the sort of annoying git that'd argue Marny ought not get his armour save on the grounds his little pink bonce pokes out the armour. I'm better now. That doesn't bother me at all now. Nor does Terminator armour having an obvious mantle for a secondary over-helmet which we have never seen. Don't mind that at all. My eye twitching is a sign of age and wisdom.
The narration turned this from watching dice and numbers to something fun to watch. I dunno how well other matches would work, I think Gary Vs Marny was probably games tested by the GW Ladz and they're tweaked to be an even match, hence the outcome being such a surprise - I didn't even know there WAS a 'mark your territory' rule. I think maybe, maybe, it'd be interesting to do some very small scale points matched bouts, I'd be interested. Like, a sparoon is worth, isn't it basically ten points? How many grots does it take to get a sparoon to fifty fifty odds, that kinda thing. Whatever, though, certainly I'll catch more however you do 'em. Also, no, I've never been accused of being spectrummy, everyone down my local thinks I'm interesting and cool and kinda sexy, especially the barmaids. Honest.
I've also only just noticed Marny's miniature shows him with a sword which he can't possibly use and that's just SO something or other.
