Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM Review

The Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM is a one of the most popular and affordable non-kit lenses for Canon DSLRs. If you’re reluctant to spend much money on your photography gear, this affordable lens will get you the low light ability that your kit lenses probably lack. Optically, it’s very sharp, and although it feels somewhat plasticy, it doesn’t feel cheap or low-quality.
The cat in some of the photos shown in this video is a very sweet and playful calico named Mimi, who lives in Aruba. She liked playing with the straps of my backpack, and she followed me around a lot.
This video is a re-upload of my original Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM review that I filmed in November 2018. In the previous version, the cut-aways to photos didn't show up on UA-cam, but eventually I figured out what I’d been doing wrong and fixed it. Apparently you have to save the file separately, rather than uploading it straight to UA-cam with the built-in uploading fuction. Go figure.
