Before watching this video and just going off the title, I remember my first solo jump. After deployment I was so happy to be alive lol. However, I started to freak out when I couldn't find the DZ. I was looking EVERYWHERE. Mind you, this was in a state I've ever been to and I didn't even know where N S E W was. So after probably a minute of not finding the DZ I did I turn and guess what? It was behind me the whole time hahaha.
When I take people for their first jump I tell them - after you make sure you have a good parachute over your head look for the DZ, if you don't see it, turn 180 degrees.
Always fun to watch you jump. 👍👊
Thanks Jason 👍
I last jumped in the 1980's. I loved it.
You know that joy. The fact that you got to experience it is great.
"Am I going to land on the drop zone?"
*continues to call CQ*
Hamming so hard up there! 🤣
I never said I was smart. 😃

Heather you know the way to my heart is flattery. 😉
What's the SWR?
1:1. That is one thing I can say with certainty, the SWR meter never even flickers.
