- Rahul Dravid's men won the 4th and final test at Kingston, Jamaica by 49 runs and thus conquered the holy grail of West Indies which was last won by an Indian team in 1971.
Anil Kumble was the star of the 4th innings as he captured 6 wickets as only he does and thus clinching India a first ever test match win at Jamaica.
Earlier Dwayne Bravo would try to unsettle Anil Kumble by swiping Kumble for three successive fours in an over, but it's the master that eventually wins. Kumble eventually bowled Bravo and Samuels, Taylor and Collins tried to pad one too many and all were gobbled up by that one untiring machine called "Jumbo". Thus getting India their First series win in West Indies after 35 years.

It was under Dravid captaincy, Nobody forgets India lost a match on Indian independence day against England also nobody forgets it was Dravid captaincy India was beaten by Bangladesh team badly in 2007 world Cup and he was the one who didn't give a chance to kumble in 2007 world Cup and he was the one who declared the innings when Sachin was on 192, full of envy.

The pitch was bowler friendly & difficult one to bat, Dravid played superbly in both innings to keep India ahead.. He was Man of the Match & Man of the series.. Kumble bowled beautifully.. This was a hard fought series against full strength West Indies..
