    Controller steering sensitivity is, as the name implies, for adjusting the sensitivity of the steering on a CONTROLLER…… it is a separate section of the menu called CONTROLLER , the settings you tested in this video are in a section called STEERING force feed bacK, they do make adjustments for the STEERING.

    I might add, if you have the thrustmaster base then plug it into a PC and adjust the max ffb from defaults 70% up to 90% then back into the game and keep the max torque at 6 but drop the sensitivity down to 8. Higher definition without the arm tussle with the wheel. My preference anyway.

    Recommended settings for g923 true force, from logitech representative:
    FFB Max torque = 10
    FFB sensitivity = 1
    Vibration = 50
    I just tested it and the result is WOW, thanks to trueforce technology !
    Controller Steering Sensitivity (my suggestions is based on your view camera angle):

      That is what confuses me. G923, G920 and G29 are all same hardware so it's applicable to all 3. But it is just madness to me for logitech representative recommending FFB torque 10 and FFB sensitivty 1.
      Sensitivity 1 literally gives you almost 0 feedback in actual grip levels. You can't feel any of it. I tested with sensitivity 1 and it just feels like i'm on a river in a boat having no clue whether i'm steering or not. Back end going side ways? I get no information about it except seeing visually i'm doing 360.
      And on the other hand... going above Max Torque 5 gives you FFB clipping meaning you lose details in FFB.
      So I'm very puzzled by that claim.
      I was running basically 10 10 and it's just hard to drive it like that as well but I can easily correct and I can feel the road. Now I'm investigating what are the proper FFB settings in order to get all of the information from the game translated into the wheel in order to be able to drive consistent and fast.
      A site like simracing setup says 5 for max torque and 4 for FFB sensitivity which is rather like the default GT7 settings lol.
      I'm just at my wits end with logitech wheel FFB recommendations as nobody actually explains what both settings are and what informations they actually provide and which settings give you the most information you can extract.
      Update:
      I ended up doing just the way site advised... 5 for torque and 4 for sensitivity.
      The wheel feels like it gives out most of information and it's more "precise" since it's easier to turn and you don't feel as much individual tooth of a cog so it feels "smoother".
      But I can feel most of information the wheel is giving me when it's on 5. When I go anything above 5 I can just feel the same stiffness of a wheel on most surfaces whatever it is and can't tell much whether i'm slipping or not (only thing is positive about that is that I can tell that I am slipping but when I'm starting to slip I can't tell).
      Especially when going from hard to medium to soft tyre I can't tell the difference when it's above 5 max torque while with 5 I can easily tell by stiffness levels (as it seems what they're talking about "clipping" since I don't feel that information above 5).
      So I think 5 for max torque and 4 for sensitivity is the most correct for GT7 with G29/920/923.

    The biggest difference I've noticed with controler sensitivity not set on 5, it makes the cars wheel feel like your behind the actual steering wheel. Say 6, the wheel imput feels to fast compare to how much you turn. 4 the car will be slow to your reaction time.

    I have noticed a difference with the controller sensitivity.... I started on ds4 with a low setting but was using steer not sticks... went to wheel and turned it to 10 for a long time thinking I wanted the fastest reaction wheel to game... saw one if the videos about this and have been running at 5 since (about 3 months)... I noticed it most with high tire wear...
    Basically the controller sensitivity is related to in-game inputs... if too low then your turning will be behind the game thus needing more input. If too high then you can turn in less but the game over exaggerates the input.... Basically either will kill the tires.... on wheel best is 5 which gives most accurate wheel to in-game inputs, and can save the tires too!
    Cheers good content... true science 👌

I use the TGt2 with the transducer motor (think that's what it's called) and when I ride the kerbs my wheel shakes on the side that the kerb is and I can feel which wheel is on the kerb whether it's the front or back or both. I only just got the TGT2 I wanted the Fanatec but living in NZ made it almost impossible so went with the TGT2 and glad I did. The motor also sends vibrations down my rig Playseat Trophy ( very solid rig) and to the pedals. It's only subtle and you won't feel it with shoes on but for me that was a real game changer. I whole heartedly reccomend the TGT2 it also has a much nicer wheel than the official Fanatec one which looks a bit too plastic to me.

    2. People with Logitech wheels always feel like their wheels are weak and want them to be more powerful but they can’t be. All jacking the max torque does on a Logitech wheel is delete any and all detail. Run over a pebble? Max torque. FULLY sending it in a corner? same forces.
    3. On my thrustmaster, when I want “tighter” steering, I reduce the steering angle on my wheel. Pressing left on the d pad on the wheel and the option button on the wheelbase at the same time will reduce steering angle, this needs to be done every time.

    Worth it's weight in gold Chris, thanks 😊. Whilst I was using the G29 I was 4 and 7 as they move down the options and to match that on the T300 RS which I now use is 6 and 9, brand new servo, not what I had anticipated. I haven't done it back to back but I used the G29 for over one year, I feel fairly certain that I have them matched, weird.

    Can someone please help. I have g29 but in gt7 I can’t turn properly. No matter how much I turn wheel, I slide off track. Only thing I can think of is that I did the calibration wrong? You know where you turn wheel 90 degrees, and fully press the throttle, clutch and brake? I’m so desperate for it to work. I have the sensitivity set as advertised in these types of videos.I’ve tried all various settings. Nothing works. Small turns work fine, accelerate, brake, paddle shift gears work perfectly but whenever I try a big turn, I slow right down and turn the wheel around 3/4 and this should make turn but it won’t and it’s like game don’t know I’m trying to turn. I can even fully turn the wheel and I just can’t turn. Don’t get me wrong, I think the game is a bag of shit but I paid £52 and would like to at least get my money worth. It’s just so frustrating. I just tried to play first time in weeks and just had to give up.
    I tried moving steering sensitivity at all settings nothing works. I just don’t understand why it works for everyone else. I have exact same settings and I can’t race. In other games it’s steering sensitivity and linery that sorts out the steering but not in this game.

Right 1 no problem. In gt7 I turn wheel 360 and can’t turn. I just give up now. So upset over this bloody crap. It’s always me having problems. Every time I see every comment about gt7 I’m just pissed off. Like why won’t it just work? Anyway thanks.

Only thing worth while is online racing and if I can’t turn, no point trying that . Also, I’m not prepared to grind for millions of hours, to get enough in game currency, to be able to buy even 1 super car and there is absolutely no way on earth, I’m spending a single penny of my money, in ps store to buy gt7 credits , just so I can buy a nice car or 2. I give it 5-10 years and all games will be free like Fortnite and be full of micro transactions. I’m just happy that I have dirt rally and Wrc. They are an incredible racing experience . Especially dirty rally/2.0 and Wrc 9,10, I’ve not played generations or the new Ea Wrc . I own generations but having too much fun on wrc10. I was tempted to pick up ea Wrc for £22 but apparently, the game is fucked and full of frame drops and constant stutter. Wrc9.10 and generations are all 60 fps , so god knows what’s going on with the new Ea Wrc game.

    Controller Sensitivity(CS) may be more evident on fast consecutive left/right corners IMO. I too struggled to see if CS made any difference for wheel (I'm using Fanatec DD Pro), and I DO feel like there's subtle difference between min (-2) and max (10). With CS 10, I feel like I can make turns quicker left/right, "snappier", but it does lock up tires more.. more squeal. Where as CS -2 there's less tire grip loss but not as snappy on steering. Again, this is very hard to tell, it may just be in my head and that this setting has no bearing on wheels. For what it's worth, some fast YT drivers use 0 as their setting.

    The controller sensitivity will make your wheel turn in more to a corner, thus you can have precise turn in rather than over steer but you need to adjust this before you add steering sensitivity or you will not notice it( turn down steering sensitivity to 1, head for a corner at high speed and see when your back end will fill out....if it does flip out and your controller sensitivity is at 0, turn it up one increment then try again....eventually you will find your precise turn in at speed that you can maintain.....once you find that precision, then turn up you sensitivity on your wheel bit by bit to find what suits you best

    Great work. When is missing is force feedback on pedals. The "trigger effect" on the controller really helps. I hope they can implement on pedals and manufacturers can update or upgrade the pedals. I think pedals.are a weakness in general on setups, the brake and clutch are not mounted correctly but I have seen one pedal set that has them mounted from above on a rig.

    • @naterod
      @naterod Рік тому +2

      There are some pedals that just released with FFB in the pedals these are extremely high end pedals and only work on PC rigs. Alternatively you could try strapping some transducers to the pedals but then again those work better on PC as consoles can’t differentiate between audio inputs so they just broadcast all sound to the transducers. Sim racing is just better on PC
