It works so long as you have the junk to craft the protectron torso or the mod for it in your inventory/workbench, if not it’ll say you don’t have sufficient supplies and you’ll waste your time, you only need enough for one though. If you want to redo the glitch later you’ll need to be able to recraft a new torso. Make sure you only have enough for one though or it will eat all your junk hence the storage locker part to this glitch.

Thank God you tested what he clearly pointed out, lol. However, you "don't" need to make a new robot every time you do this. All you need is a new protectron torso. The same robot will work forever..
If you know this glitch from the start, stay at intelligence 1 and get idiot savant to rank 2. This will net you 5x the xp gain. While at intelligence 1 your xp gain is 103%, at intelligence 10 your xp gain is 133%, which is a lot lower than the 500%xp gain idiot savant offers, even if it has an 11% chance to trigger, it will trigger with this glitch quite a lot. I also used the remote play app on my phone along with an OP autoclicker (name of the app), set the click speeds to 50ms, and went from level 23 to level 70 in 8 minutes with the setup I mentioned. Can easily get to max level if you let it run for an hour or two
@TrappedInFallout I managed to get to level 244 today in less than 2 hours using my method. If you also use the "You're special" book scraping glitch to never have to invest points into your SPECIAL, level 244 gives you the exact amount of perk points you need to get all the perks in the game. Thought I should mention that as well. While it was boring to wait for 2 hours, it was well worth it, I have a lot of fun playing as a god :>

I don’t understand what the cabinet is used for. Why do you have to transfer all of your junk over? I watched the video 3 times but I still don’t get the purpose of the cabinet
By transferring over your remaining junk you are able to repeatedly press the right button on the d-pad endlessly. Had you not then you would have instead run out of resources via the workshop and not been able to press the right dpad button infinitely. The placement of the cabinet is just for convenience sake.
Good to know, I will give it a go ,also I hope Bethesda will fix the quality mode on the xbox as its just stuck on performance mode, I was really hoping for an increase in quality, will have to wait and see.👍

Yeah, that's not gereat. I heard about the Automatron DLC somewhat making things unplayable - I wonder how that happened. Hopefully it will get fixed soon enough to allow folks to not have to worry about that. It's a great DLC.
This might happen due to resources running out. Once you do it once, you should be able to repeat it again from scratch. So once you do it, go ahead and make another new robot companion and see what happens after that.
@@TrappedInFallout yes exactly, I realized I needed to collect the resources to make protection again, then back to assaultron, then proceed to the glitch. Thanks for the speedy response!
It should still work as long as you basically repeat the exact steps from first creating a robot with a torso. You would also need the resources as part of that first creation etc.
@angelganon8213 Yes there are some requirements. You will need Science at rank 4, Robotics Expert at rank 2, Armorer at rank 4, Blacksmith at 3 and Gun Nut at 1 to build all possible types of aotromatrons. I hope that this helps.
That might be because you need to be able to build the torso initially. Make sure that you have built the entire thing before doing the glitch (as shown really). I hope this helps.
I'm new in the world of Fallout.. what is this Assaultron and what it does? How do i get ammo? I have very low resources especially ammo for weapon which deals poor damage..
The Robot workbench station is part of the Automatron DLC. An Assaultron is a humanoid robot that was originally built with the intent of combat. Ammo can be difficult to acquire early. I suggest taking the scavenger perk from the luck tree, as it greatly increases the amount of ammo found everywhere. Look for ammunition containers (small army green boxes that are much thinner than wide), because they're almost guaranteed to hold munitions of some kind, ammo or explosives. If you have enough caps, either legitimately or through glitches, you can purchase more common types of ammo from vendors. The type of ammo found or purchased usually scales with your level. So, at a low level, .50 caliber is gonna be way harder to find than .38, but eventually you might be finding mini nukes in some random raiders lunchbox assuming you have the luck for it.
@@The_GG_Janitor ok thanks buddy because i have found one of this robot inside of the Foundry and there is a terminal near to it. By hacking in it you wake up this robot but immediately starts to attack me don't know why.
Are you holding the right button on the d-pad or are you pressing It more times, the glitch doesn't work for me, It says that i don't have the resources for that.
It may have worked but not shown the XP or perhaps you did not have the parts to build the specific bits of the Automatron. Other then this it should have worked.
It works as of 6/22/2024 All you have to do is to find or make a brain torso aswell as the protectron torso and have the mods in your inventory and it should work just like the video describes. Just make sure you have the mods and it will work every time. (Not downloaded mods it’s basically modifications for stuff in game)
I tried this once for about a minute and it worked fine with just one mod in my inventory. Can you please explain why the two mods would be better? I figured instead of having to recraft anything I'd just spam right for a couple hours while I watch UA-cam and see where I'm at after but if there is a better way I'd love to know it😊
@@garyhyry7950 because once you exit the robot station the mod you used to do the xp glitch on disappears. The second one ensures you can do it again but you would have to select that mod on the screen when doing the glitch again
@@garyhyry7950 also you can just make another protection torso and switch it back to the assaultron and work just new. You just have to have the torso mod in your inventory or your settlement storage
Chances are yes but given that you will be spamming the button it won't really results in anything vastly different. You will basically have about the same amount of XP regardless of the torso you use. That said the glitch is actually you switching to the base torso so in theory it would be the same. The thing that effects the amount of XP is more likely to be your INT level.
Completing it will help as that also unlocked the automatron parts but you can pick up the parts yourself by taking out that type of enemy which means you would not need the complete before trying.
@@TrappedInFallout yea it works like a charm with the ones I already built. But if ran into that issue o would definitely make a new one. Just though I’d say that it does in fact work with one that’s already built.

This can be tricky. Keep trying and eventually there will be a delay between the companion trade window opening giving you time to open the other menu.
The glitch does and should work with other torso items. At the same time it does appear to be commonly available and you automatically get access to it as soon as you complete the DLC.
Not a bad idea at all but that said I sort of already have a guide for it, check this one out: ua-cam.com/video/xHNWfM7p6c0/v-deo.html That said I will try to make something a little more specific for it also.
I need to craft the default torso it has aswell for this to work , torso will dissapear once glitch is working and im getting xp. so exiting and starting over the glitch i have to recraft the torso first not the assaultron torso tho. Hope this helps for those it aint working for
As long as you followed all the steps then it should work. This glitch has been confirmed by a number of folks across multiple platforms after the latest Next Gen update.
After a bit of messing around I got the Glitch working but not how you said, I found it easiest to make my companion full so carry no more items. One crafted torso equipped and then have another torso mod available to equip,, having already removed all junk from my workshop and spamming A
Just another 160 (ish) levels and you should have enough points to unlock every rank in every perk (not to mention become a walking God in the commonwealth).
This is designed to work once. If you want to do it again then you will need to repeat the steps from the point where you have built a torso for your automatron.
I increase my XP gains with Resting and you can also use something like mentats. I also happen to be pressing the button as quickly as I can which also helps.
Ah that's not good. Perhaps try just a couple of levels every so often. I've not heard of Fallout 4 crashing before then again glitches can certainly do that.
It's a fair argument. The robot workbench is literally the first thing you see when going into settlement build mode and you should be able to take things from there. You don't need to start the DLC in order to build the robot workbench.
@@TrappedInFalloutactually you do I had to hit level 15 in order to get the mechanical menace quest plus had to get a few more levels for those perks I told you about
Most people store the majority of their extra items in the workshop, and only the junk is at risk in this scenario.
How do you redo the glitch? Wouldn’t work with the same robot so I destroyed it and made a new one but it still won’t work again
It should still work as long as you basically repeat the exact steps from first creating a robot with a torso. You would also need the resources as part of that first creation etc.
Do i need any oerks to build the items needed?
@angelganon8213 Yes there are some requirements. You will need Science at rank 4, Robotics Expert at rank 2, Armorer at rank 4, Blacksmith at 3 and Gun Nut at 1 to build all possible types of aotromatrons. I hope that this helps.
@@TrappedInFalloutThank you. And is this faster than the statue spam?
@angelganon8213 Yes, absolutely. It takes more time to get access to this but when you actually do it, it is way faster.
It's saying U lack the requirements when I press right d pad
That might be because you need to be able to build the torso initially. Make sure that you have built the entire thing before doing the glitch (as shown really). I hope this helps.
Why don't you have The Inquisitor's Cowl and Salvaged Assaultron Head equipped?
I basically just went with what I had and found most success with. I guess the would work with any mod on an Automatron.
I don't think I would have been able to provide a better answer than GG, thanks GG.
@@The_GG_Janitor ok thanks buddy because i have found one of this robot inside of the Foundry and there is a terminal near to it. By hacking in it you wake up this robot but immediately starts to attack me don't know why.
Useful as always
Thank you for sharing your feedback. It's much appreciated 😃👍
Are you holding the right button on the d-pad or are you pressing It more times, the glitch doesn't work for me, It says that i don't have the resources for that.
You need to have the protectron torso mod in your inventory
@@The_GG_Janitor Ok now It works thanks
@@signor_gamer4198 no problem, happened to me too
Glad to see that you have it working. Thanks for checking out my vidoe and for your comment.
Holding right on dpad does not automatically do it for me
You will need to press right on the d-pad.
I do everything right but it is spamming right on the dpad that only works for the glitch
I did the Glitch back in 2021 and it worked, but id didnt work this time because i wouldn't get any xp.Any advice?
It may have worked but not shown the XP or perhaps you did not have the parts to build the specific bits of the Automatron. Other then this it should have worked.
@@TrappedInFallout nvm,it worked👍
It works as of 6/22/2024
All you have to do is to find or make a brain torso aswell as the protectron torso and have the mods in your inventory and it should work just like the video describes. Just make sure you have the mods and it will work every time. (Not downloaded mods it’s basically modifications for stuff in game)
Thank you so much for confirming that this still works with your additional steps and advice, much appreciated.
@@TrappedInFallout not a problem I hear lots of people having problems so I found out a way be testing a few things lol. Have a good day fallout!!
You just have to have the torso mod in your inventory or your settlement storage
are there different xp gain per different robot torso?, like is there a certain robot torso that has more xp gain than the protectron torso?
Chances are yes but given that you will be spamming the button it won't really results in anything vastly different. You will basically have about the same amount of XP regardless of the torso you use. That said the glitch is actually you switching to the base torso so in theory it would be the same. The thing that effects the amount of XP is more likely to be your INT level.
The price of the torso increases xp, so the higher the price the more xp
About 2-3 mins off fast spamming and I went up 8 levels! (Lvl 83-91)
That sounds like a fair few levels gained in a short time, nice work.
@@TrappedInFallout I was also able to do it three or four times before it stopped working. It allowed me to do the robobrain torso also
@@lonnaflynn4821 so longer you hold it the more XP
Do you need to complete the dlc or just buy it and have it on the main game?
Completing it will help as that also unlocked the automatron parts but you can pick up the parts yourself by taking out that type of enemy which means you would not need the complete before trying.
How do you get that big Armor spawner?
Of your referring to the robot workstation it is automatically unlocked after you install the Automatron DLC.
@@TrappedInFallout ok thanks
You don’t need to build a new one if you have one already.
You may need to if the glitch does not work as a repeat. So this would be doing this a second time and may need a new one.
@@TrappedInFallout yea it works like a charm with the ones I already built. But if ran into that issue o would definitely make a new one. Just though I’d say that it does in fact work with one that’s already built.
Is there any xp glitch without DLCs and besides the shelf glitch
There is the statue one but I suspect you may not like that one since that is the same as the shelves one. I can look into it and see of I can find something a little different.
Hm didn’t work for me I’m on ps4 I messed up some where but I do not know what
I'm not sure how I can help without the more info sadly. The said as long as you did the steps exactly as shown then it should be working. It's been confirmed across multiple platforms including PS4.
Ah I rewatched it I forgot a step I needed an assaultron torso
I never thought of have them sit in a chair
It's the small details that help the most ha ha. Plus Cait just looks so cool sitting in that chair.
@1:24 why not just press “take all”?
I suppose you can but I wanted to make sure to only take the junk items that point in time.
Sorry for the offtopic but i need to ask you a question: there's some way to let the pip boy app works with a ps5 next gen update? I tryed with both android and iphone but sadly wont connect.
Anyone got it works?
Sorry, I don't own a console so it's not something I can help answer. Hopefully someone else might be able to here.
Hi, i think they put down the servers or the connection with the app so long ago, like before the release of Fallout 76, sorry. But maybe im wrong.
In fact, they eliminate the app from the Google Playstore.
Im pretty sure that app's service was discontinued by bethesda like a REALLY long time ago lmao.
I got to lvl 278 in an hour and a half with a new method i found
That sounds really cool, sounds like a great way to level up. Nice work, the max level to get all Perks is 272 so you should be able to get all Perks and specials with your new method.
@@TrappedInFallout I meant to tell you how, work got me distracted. Maybe you can make a vid.
So you boot up the vr creation workshop
Use 4 floor pieces to make a big floor
Add walls to make a "pit"
Put 30 feral ghouls spawns inside the pit.
Make stairs on the outside of the pit near the terminal
Turn off invincibility or you won't get xp.
Fire a rocket launcher into the pit netting between 10k and 15k xp in seconds
Every time i perform the glitch i get everything right but it says i lack the requirements to creat this and then i get no xp any help?
Update: I tried it again and figured out the problem. When trading and making crafting the robot press d pad down to torso d pad right 2 twice and highlight any highlighted mod and keep Pressing right on d pad. Should work then. Did for me brothers and sisters 🤙
Same! I'm definitely doing something wrong
Same rip

Thanks for your comment. In the video that's pretty much what I said too. Press down on the d-pad, followed by pressing right on the d-pad twice and then continue to press right on the d-pad and continue to do that - hope it helps out everyone, thanks.
To all of you, YOU MUST HAVE THE PROTECTRON TORSO MOD IN YOUR INVENTORY
This PSA is the most common reason for the glitch failing
So longer you hold it the more XP you receive
In short, yes. But the XP gains will platoe overtime.
@@TrappedInFallout ok... I see.
Makes sense... Just started to do it got from 21-62 easy

@WhiterunGuard001 I totally agree, I can just about doing the glitches like Weapon Mod, Resources dup etc first time almost every time.
Much faster than the statues. But damn are my fingers sore.
Yeah, it does a number on the old bones - but really worth it to get that large boost very quickly.
Shows me the trade menu first my companion doesnt even say dialouge before exiting the trade menu
This can be tricky. Keep trying and eventually there will be a delay between the companion trade window opening giving you time to open the other menu.
@@TrappedInFalloutanother problem is it supposed to be a mod?
Do you need the assaultron torso to do it or any torso is allowed
I imagine any, but assaultron torsos are super easy to come by so it shouldnt be hard to get it if it does require it
The glitch does and should work with other torso items. At the same time it does appear to be commonly available and you automatically get access to it as soon as you complete the DLC.
Does this glitch trigger the idiot savant perk?
Yes, It did for me. This video was recorded on PC and I used an xbox controller.
How about a ammo dupe? Fusion cells ❤ can’t do the Cambridge synth mission bc I Alr did it lol
Not a bad idea at all but that said I sort of already have a guide for it, check this one out: ua-cam.com/video/xHNWfM7p6c0/v-deo.html
That said I will try to make something a little more specific for it also.
It's Cait, LETS GO
Cait is awesome, for sure ha ha.
Can’t scrap the bot. What do?
For this you don't need to scrap. In terms of bot you can assign them to some task in the settlement or send them away to another settlement.
Is an assaultron torso necessary?
You can do it with other torso but it tends to work with thr assaulting torso a little better.
do you need dlc for this ?
Yes, you need the Automatron DLC for this.
THIS DOES NOT WORK NO MORE
Edit: just did it just don’t go to sleep if you do then it won’t work
Yes, this does. I used this today on a new playthrough as part of a new project that I am working on.
No it does work I’m doing it right now it’s so broken💀
Nope
I need to craft the default torso it has aswell for this to work , torso will dissapear once glitch is working and im getting xp.
so exiting and starting over the glitch i have to recraft the torso first not the assaultron torso tho.

Yes, it's confirmed working on the latest update.
I followed this video step by step and it didn’t work
It should do as long as your following the steps on the next gen version. When you say it did not work, what did not work exactly?
I can confirm that it worked first time but now I get "you lack the requirements to create this item" @TrappedInFallout
Nice xp glitch, it works 👍👍👍
Thanks for your comment and for confirming that it works.
Is 30 seconds the recommended time or can I sit here for 30 minutes and do it lol
Totally up to you. I usually got for about 5 mins and that's usually enough until end game.
Love it 🎉
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that.
Level 87 and counting.
Just another 160 (ish) levels and you should have enough points to unlock every rank in every perk (not to mention become a walking God in the commonwealth).
Help it only worked once!!
Have to make sure you have the protectron torso mod, or the assaultron torse mod
This is designed to work once. If you want to do it again then you will need to repeat the steps from the point where you have built a torso for your automatron.
Why does this level me so much slower than you
I increase my XP gains with Resting and you can also use something like mentats. I also happen to be pressing the button as quickly as I can which also helps.
Can u repeat this ?
Yes, just start from scratch I.e. your step one would be to build a new automatron.
More INT equals more XP
Yeap, in hindsight I should have put more emphasis on that.
Nice!
Thank you.
...aaaaand - unlike Skyrim! - the VR version of the game still does not contain the DLCs! What a friggin' bummer.

It's a fair argument. The robot workbench is literally the first thing you see when going into settlement build mode and you should be able to take things from there. You don't need to start the DLC in order to build the robot workbench.

Most people store the majority of their extra items in the workshop, and only the junk is at risk in this scenario.
Don't quote me, but I believe it has something to do with the glitch trying to craft hundreds of Assaultron torsos, and it might take the parts even though nothing's actually being crafted.
Now that you mentioned it your right, I should have used it lol.
