Ever since I started my channel I have had multiple friends ask me what card they should get started with, and this is one I highly recommend! They haven’t been generous to me AT ALL. My spending isn’t high enough. Decided to push all spending to other cards that actually grow. Only use my Apple Card for my $0.99 Apple subscription now and my apple products I refinance.

@@dwjones1958 never use your debit card for purchases. Always use your credit cards then pay it back in full next month..it’s that simple.
If you do at least 21 transactions for 2 months you should get an increase without even asking. anything counts of course. gas, food. You could even break up grocery shopping instead of getting all items at once get 5 at a time in the span of a day or two. the # of transactions and paying on time is key

Do you have to unfreeze your Transunion credit report when asking for a credit limit increase??? Even tho its a soft pull my reports are frozen so idk if they can see through the freeze ??

I love the Apple Card! I use it anytime I can get 2-3% cash back, which is almost everywhere lol. I also just got a credit limit increase, but of only 2k... not 5k like you! Maybe I have to be a bigger spender hehe. Great video as always!! ☺💥

Thank you for the video Dayana! I also request CLIs for my Apple Card. I have monthly payments for my iPhone on the card (Apple offers 0% financing for 24 months when you buy an iPhone from them), so it will show a higher credit utilization. Something to keep in mind when buying an Apple product.
Hey Vincent thanks for watching and for bringing this up! So (Apple card monthly installments) will not affect your credit utilization on the card whatsoever. However (Apple iPhone payment plans) will affect your utilization since you're pretty much taking out a loan for x period of time. Question: how are you currently financing your iPhone? 😊

@@DayanaPlaysHello Dayana, nice video! In my experience financing 2 iPads through Apple did have an impact on my credit utilization. Once Apple reported my balance to the credit bureaus, my overall credit score dropped quite a bit. No biggie, as I’ve already paid my balance down to zero, and expect my score to rebound soon as Apple reports my account as paid in full.
Just wanted to chime in in the event someone here isn’t familiar with how things go.
This month “Jan 2024” will mark 6mos since obtaining my card, and I haven’t asked for, nor been given an automatic CLI. Over the time of having my Apple Card I’ve paid my balance in full each month, so I’m excited to see how requesting an increase will go next month in February.

Hi Dayana, I may have missed it in the video, but how often would you recommend requesting a CLI, as I have only had my Apple Card for 3 months.
If you are only using 10 to 20% of your credit limit each month how does the bank actually consider a CLI you obviously do not need?
Hey, every 3 - 6 months! They'll consider your request based on the factors listed in the video. As long as you pay your cards bill in full before it's due date, using 10-20% or whatever amount you decide to use will demonstrate you're actually using the card and "may be in need of an increase."

I got a 2K increase on my current limit after three months spending almost the limit I had and paying everything off but 1% by the statement closing date and the rest the day after.
@@moraheem8292 The statements close at the end of every month right? So for december do you pay it on the 26/27th since it takes time for it to actually go through?

Great video. I'm a new Apple Card holder, 3 months. Have been using my account for shopping often, paying balance to zero multiple times a month. My current balalnce is $0 (credit line is $2500). Can I apply for a credit line increase (it's been 92 days since I received my card)? I've heard some say you have to wait 120, 180 days or more. All three credit bureau scores are 700+. Is there any downside to apply for a CLI now? Thank you for your advice.
I applied last in May they denied then sent message saying it had not been full 90 days since last increase...I just applied June 30 thru app got immediate approval.

Seems like everyone has had better success than I have. My Apple Card credit limit was 1,250 and I asked for a credit limit increase and got a measly 250 bump, now with 1,500 credit limit.
My Fico 9 was 670 when I asked for the limit increase. Maybe this is why. My total credit card utilization across all cards was 3 %, Apple Card with zero balance and perfect payment history.
@William Starnes The only think I can think of is you’re not using the card enough and putting enough transactions on it to show them you need more of an increase. I’ve heard they’re real big on that. Income and total credit utilization along with your Fico 9 score play factors in that.
@William Starnes They give out increases every 90 days. So have a zero balance before you request the increase.
I’ve had my Apple Card for a year and a month, and I’ve received 4 increases in one year. I keep track of what day I ask for an increase and wait 90 days from that day then ask for on. I put my request in from iMessage.
I started with a measly 250 limit increases to 750. Then 1000, then 1250, then last increase was to 1,500 were I currently stand as of todays date. All with about 10 transactions or so a month, paid to zero balance.
I doubt it was your fico score but mostly likely your low usage of it.
I just got this card today and my starting limit is 3k and my fico was 663. But my credit karma credit score was 755.
I’ll be using this a lot cause we already use Apple Pay A LOT.

@@jordankelly2960 As of today my Apple Card has a credit limit of 2000. That’s. It’s been open for 24 months exactly. 2 years of perfect payments and daily usage. All they gave me.
@@JayG_Tha_Donsame, I got started at $6500 and only have seen it get to $7000 with perfect on time payments and using it as my primary card for almost a year and still no luck. Apple Card is the worst card I have, there's no credit limit increase opportunities and it's weaker than other options for cash back. I regret getting it.
I tried to get a credit limit increase from them and they said -- Your credit limit couldn't be increased at this time because:
- You have not used and paid enough of your Apple Card credit limit since your last credit limit increase.
It’s been 6 months since I requested and I was denied. I updated my annual income. I’ve spent around 5.5k this year on the card this year. To be fair the past 3 months… I’ve spent less then 50 each month.
I always pay in full each month. I give up on trying at this point.

I got my apple card 01/26/2022 with a 500 limit, paid it off each month, 04/29/2022 they increased he to 1,250 after I requested a increase. Then on 07/30/2022 they automatically increased my line to 2,500

Hi Dayana
My Apple Card was approved on June 10 with a CL $7000. After 81 days that’s yesterday received a CLI for $2000, which I feel it’s a very low increase. I use this card for my every day purchases with monthly utilization ranging around $1500 and repay in full each month before the statement time ends.
I was expecting at least 4000 increase but it’s disappointed me as I got approved for $2000 CLI.
What should I do to get better credit limit increases?

Apple Card is in a bit of a pickle right now with the regulators the issuer who’s Goldman Sachs is being investigated by the feds for unlawful practices when it comes to charge backs this issue has been well documented on the news the card is great but the bank is suspect I have a 26,000$ line of credit that i haven’t touch as I don’t need it but it’s good for my credit utilization rate nice to see you again Mi amor

@@DayanaPlays When I just received my card I bought an iPhone that a week later I decided to return when I returned it I asked the sales representative that if I had to pay a reestoking fee he told me no, I had my card in automatic payment I was confident that I did not have to worry about making a payment to that card and if in case it will be needed it would be done automatically, I went on vacation to my paid for a month and when I came back I got a call from Apple asking meFor a payment for a reestoking fee from the returned iPhone and I had to make, I told the representative that It was fine and he told me you have to make the payment before February 3, I made the payment on the first day of February and 4 dis later I received an alert from my credit report notifying of a late payment, eh called Apple many times explaining the situation and that it was not my fault because apart I had everything in automatic payment and has refused to take away that late payment they just tell me that they do not have that power to remove it
