@@dabonhatersloganpaulerforl2746 Kripp, like a lot of the other reviewers, tends to sit in the middle when it comes to some cards. Pretty impressive how accurate your reviews were this round, Trump. A few big misses but that's darn impressive considering the sheer volume of cards. You were within 1 star of most of the set.
This is part of the reason why I like Trump's reviews over others'. Trump makes bold claims (such as claiming Magnetic won't see play), and he doesn't pussyfoot around like what a lot of other reviewers do (the "It has potential and might see play, though we'll wait and find out"). Yes, these burn him sometimes because he gets things horrendously wrong, but at the same time, I'd rather see someone play risky and get burned rather than say basically the same thing about 80% of cards.
I also think there's some merit to running Dire Mole over Glow-tron to eat up Dyn-o-matic hits in place of your other dudes. Very niche, but arguably more important than magnetizing it to itself.
Keep watching the video. His hairstyle is the EXACT same .. He just combed it. Later on, he plays around with his hair and the two timelines have the EXACT same hair style.
Credit to Trump. Kripp and a lot of us thought Mech would be a big thing but Trump held firm to his belief that the cards weren't strong enough to be a thing and was proven right.
Great predictions! May I humbly request that next time you make sure to check the volume balance when streaming live with old video at the same time, because the transition is very jarring!
Hey can I have your opinion: 8 mana deal 1 damage to a minion, if it dies, return this card you your hand with half the cost and double the damage. Can’t cost less then (1). Didn’t have time to add in the flavor, I wondered if it isn’t too stronk against control decks
@@badnews8557 I see what you tried to do, but this is pretty ridiculous. We learned how easy it is to kill a minion with 1 HP in lategame from Frost Lich Jaina, and then it's 4 for deal 2, and then it's 2 for 4 (basically a better Shadow Bomb) But that's not the problem. The problem is that if you get this card rolling then later it's: - 1 for 8 (Kills Lich King), - 1 for 16 (Kills almost anything), - 1 for 32 (Make it stop), And bigger, and bigger... And you know what? That could be balanced.. If not the fact that now you can clear the board every turn for very low cost. After you use it few times it just becomes unstoppable board clear ( Kills 7 minions for 7, better than Flamestrike and STILL returns to your hand.) And it's outrageously oppresive. And the only way to balance this oppresive bad boy is to give it the 'Headcrack' treatment. (5) mana spell: Deal 1 Damage to a minion, if it dies at the end of your turn return this card to your hand; reduce it's cost by (1) and double the damage. Can't cost less than (1). If you think I murdered it, then maybe I did. The design is just Shudderwock-level of danger. I nerfed it by slowing down the cost reduction and (imo the more important aspect) returning it at the end of your turn. Your version is a dead card vs aggro and combo, but it's a slowly growing threat against any minion based control deck. I made it less extreme. A very fascinating design, I hope you like my suggestions. Also choose the class for this card carefully and plz don't make it neutral for the love of God.
More so than a lot of sets, I remember people complaining about all of the "OP" cards prior to the set coming out, and look where we are now. People really aren't good at predicting cards the majority of the time.
It's so disappointing how many of those legendary spells suck, almost feels like we were lied to that there are going to be legendary spells in boomsday.
This video gave me flashbacks of him playing topsy turvy priest on stream. Man was that a hilarious fail. I remember him counting the pieces in his hand, and by the time he realized that he had everything, the rope was already burning.
Here's your drinking game for this video: choose 4 kinds of alcohol. Arrange them in order of strength, then sip one depending on how off Trump was from his prediction. For example: If Trump was off by 1 star, sip some wine If Trump was off by 2 stars, sip some vodka If Trump was off by 3 stars, sip some tequila If Trump was off by 4 stars, sip some absinthe
Is it really "fair" to give a card 2 stars just because people "experimented" with it at the beginning of the expansion ? I mean, it's kinda normal to do that, doesn't mean the card is better than a 1 star tho.
Yeah I get it but it feels kind of weird because some of those cards didn't see any real genuine play, just experiment. So it feels like the 2 stars rank sometimes refers to " 1 star cards that have been test played ".
@@Niitroxyde I agree with you, it's stupid giving it a pity star. People picked the cards because they looked like they could work, but didnt work out in the end and nobody plays them anymore. So it's basically 1 star xD With that Trump basically got all of the predictions right. This set was really disappointing, the main theme and mechanics-mechs and magnetize totally missing the mark.
I think your misunderstanding the 2 star eating means it saw enough conpetive play to get a star it's not a pity star it just was fairly common in the meta at one point before being replaced
you worth noting that star aligner is a powerhouse in wild, but glazed over the potential of all of the mech synergy in wild. There are some galvanized powerhouse agro decks in wild using some of the early mech and magnetic additions in this expansion (notably mech hunter, but also mech paladin). They're worth trying because they are all fairly cheap decks to build, and have some potentially unbeatable 1-2-3 curves depending on the list!
"Mechs are pretty much useless... Magnetic is pretty much uselesss..." ~ Trump 2018 PS. I know it was right at the moment, but remembering the whole Year of Mech (Aka. Dragon), I just couldn't write this 😅
As someone who still ocationally plays the rogue leper gnome otk deck in wild, I must say that the goblin bombs slitghtly faster animation is pretty neat at times, as it kills the opponent faster
I have a wild mage deck that uses Luna's Pocket Galaxy and it's actually insane I didn't build the deck around Pocket Galaxy, I just slotted it into an existing deck the deck already ran a bit of card draw in the form of Aluneth and Arcane Intellect, but it's not even really necessary (although Aluneth + Pocket Galaxy is crazy) unless your opponent has lethal on you next turn, it can be used as a decent comeback card
As much as it's enjoyable to poke fun at Trumpy Boy for wrongness or whatever, I highly respect the fact that he's willing to put his genuine hard opinion out there ( as apposed to basically yes / no / maybe like a Kripp ) AND he'll even go so far as to re-review and see how right or wrong he was. It takes some level of guts to put yourself out there like this, I like it. Thanks, Trump.
Once I casted Storm Bringer TWO TIMES in ARENA as a WARRIOR Me and my friend were like yeah time to just make a completely meme deck. So we put in like 2 weapons project, 3 warpaths, holomancer, Witches Cauldron. So... There was this lovely game where we got to get 2 spells from Witches Cauldron, and they somehow were both The Storm Bringer. We laughed to tears as we obliterated our opponent by making huge ass board twice. We laughed even harder when one of our opponents, while we have Holomancer on the field, played the Lichking whilst we had a lot of board. This stupid meme warrior that got such a bad rating by us and heartharena went to 10 wins. One of the lost was even because of AFK XP It is one of those odd ball that somehow just went too right to be true. But man it was hilarious getting two spells from the cauldron and have both being The Storm Bringer, and we got to cast both of them and our opponent just rage quited.
I was playing against a Zerek Deck once and they used their cloning cards to make four of them. I was playing a Hadronox deck, so I held them off for a long time, but I eventually ran out of witching hours and died.
Ugh, violet haze. I lost an arena runs to two rogues that highrolled me with violet haze. One got the legendary paladin weapon and Void Lord, the other got mechanical whelp (with a necrium blade equipped) and the corpse flower (with 2 cheap shots in his deck, so resets on it)
another expansion that doesnt change the meta or print ANY relevant cards (at least gigling inventor WAS played in many decks) and also druid can keep being a top tier 1 deck by just playing 25 class cards Great job devs...
At least Blizzard's trying to reduce the powerlevel of the cards in each expansion. KnC and KotFT were so overbearingly powerful that class dominance now lies in how many op cards they got from those expansions.
Yeah, the biggest "problem" right now is that the rotation system makes those op cards stay around longer, so the new expansions feel less impactful. Next rotation is going to be insane though.
Juicy psychmelon was busted in wild though, until the aviana nerf. It might still be strong, or will have to wait, but it is certainly a card with a high ceiling.
I feel like cards that hit it off in wilds but not standard should get some mention. I'd actually like to see a modern list too like 4 years of rotations or something without a classic set to make a super spicy format that will no doubt make for some interesting decks that you won't see in other formats. The balance might be a bit weird but it would certainly be interesting. more interesting than wild.
28:33 Yeah, he gets a sort of glow, then when he dies, it's like the regular Ressurect animation. Why do I know this? Combo is the only deck I can get from Whizbang.
For topsy turvy otk priest: The main reason the deck doesnt work all that well really is the time limit. I believe that, in some situations, it may be almost impossible to do all what you have to do in the time limit(Like vs a giggling inventor board). So yeah, this deck is a victim of mechanics.
Dr. Morrigan - Post Buff. Rate. A Solid 3 Stars. Except, Big Warlock Has Not Been Supported Since KnC. Meaning It's Been Dead. It Would Never Have Happened.
Trump's predictions beat me on: Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Mecharoo and Piloted Reaper. My predictions beat Trump on: Rogue, Shaman and Zilliax. We tied on: Priest, Warlock, Warrior, Harbinger Celestia and Mecha'Thun. Overall, Trump might be a better Mayor of Valuetown, but my election would be a front for Rogues.
If Odd Paladin had any healing (even truesilver, but it is even), Crystalizer would be upgrade for the Dire Rat / Glow Tron. If you would have played Zilliax - or chose it via Stonehill Defender it could have been a little better in cases you would be at full health otherwise. IMO decent-ish upgrade, but Rare card is most likely not worth it for most of the players.
I'm not sure about the rating of Omega Medic. The data I'm looking at shows it as a 2-of in the most common Control Priest deck, which is a Tier 2 deck. Wouldn't that make it a 3-star card? (There's some other cards that I think might be slightly off; for example, I'm pretty sure Bronze Gatekeeper was a 2-star card at some point).
Today i stand for Berylium nullifier cause that boy has got me out from some tight situations and been also dominant i many of my matchups cause it cant be taken down that easily or the mec i already had out becomes almost imposible to kill. i give you 5, i will stand for you bro!
You should actually do 2 types of reviews/rereviews: standard format & arena format, cause some cards which weren't the best in standard, were pretty good in arena.
This is the first time I have noticed that when he pauses the video... the title is under any of the star changes he made. Makes sense but was like, whoa.
I didn't even watched the entire druid section and figured out that if Trump would take Wild in consideration he probably would rate those cards higher... Feels bad to see all of these guys treating my format as though as it didn't exist..
"1 Star: this is ridiculous overkill" See, this is why I like Trump's reviews, rather than base myself off raw stats. Some cards serve no purpose other than BM. They'll never be played in a losing game, because they're either too slow, too unimpactful, too random, etc. So when they are played, they always win (or almost always anyway), so that pads the stats in their favor. Analyzing the card and seeing that despite its insanely good winrate, it is still bad because if you win after playing it, you were gonna win anyway. Its effective impact on the game only lies in these outlier games where extremely specific conditions are met.
“Mech paladin dosent exist” when my only good deck is a mech paladin ;_; it’s interesting because all of the cards you rate 1 Star, if you combo them all together with a few of the 5 star ones you get a solid combo
Juicy Psychmelon, the card that shaked the entire Wild meta - Only 1 star after correction? this is definitely a wrong correction. Unless you Ignore completely Wild mode.
I don't even play hearthstone anymore, or care about it, but when I see a trump reviewing Trump I just can't help but click and sit through an hour of content that has absolutely zero impact on anything i'm interested in.
My thoughts exactly!
I find hearthstone a fun game to watch people play but I hate playing it.

Juicy psychmelon is 5 stars in wild. It was one of the strongest cards.
...But Aviana Nerf
This does not include wild.
Fuck Wild
I mean even with the Aviana nerf people will likely still use psychmelon in that deck in wild
It's still bonkers after the nerf
Trumps Old Hair

I also think there's some merit to running Dire Mole over Glow-tron to eat up Dyn-o-matic hits in place of your other dudes. Very niche, but arguably more important than magnetizing it to itself.
O yes, I remember the days of shiny forehead trump.
Keep watching the video. His hairstyle is the EXACT same .. He just combed it. Later on, he plays around with his hair and the two timelines have the EXACT same hair style.
shiny forehead trump = handsome trump

Credit to Trump. Kripp and a lot of us thought Mech would be a big thing but Trump held firm to his belief that the cards weren't strong enough to be a thing and was proven right.
16:28 I'm pretty sure Kibler will disagree with Trump's rating of Meteorologist
Joseph D. Rozum both Meteorologist and Astromancer are so freaking good
Name a more iconic duo than Trump and Trump, I‘ll wait
Krupp and Toast lol

Based on Trolden clips alone, Harbinger Celestia should be a 5 star card for turning into your opponent's Lich King
I truly love all the Trump reviews Trump reviews videos. Thanks Jens
Great predictions! May I humbly request that next time you make sure to check the volume balance when streaming live with old video at the same time, because the transition is very jarring!
++
I think it helps to differentiate old trump with new trump when you have the video in the background.
Honestly prefer trumps old hair, it looks nice.
I like new
It looks nicer but it doesnt suit him well as he has a bad hairline
I think these reviews and re-reviews are the thing I look forward to most with every expansion...besides the expansion itself.
You should do a star rating/review of the Basic/Classic set! :)
so right
It's fun seeing this a long while into the future and seeing how wrong or right you were. Especially on Zilliax.
I missed this format! What a great day, first Kripperino Highlight, now this!
Hey can I have your opinion:
8 mana deal 1 damage to a minion, if it dies, return this card you your hand with half the cost and double the damage. Can’t cost less then (1).
Didn’t have time to add in the flavor, I wondered if it isn’t too stronk against control decks
@@badnews8557
I see what you tried to do, but this is pretty ridiculous.
We learned how easy it is to kill a minion with 1 HP in lategame from Frost Lich Jaina, and then it's 4 for deal 2, and then it's 2 for 4 (basically a better Shadow Bomb)
But that's not the problem. The problem is that if you get this card rolling then later it's:
- 1 for 8 (Kills Lich King),
- 1 for 16 (Kills almost anything),
- 1 for 32 (Make it stop),
And bigger, and bigger...
And you know what? That could be balanced..
If not the fact that now you can clear the board every turn for very low cost.
After you use it few times it just becomes unstoppable board clear
( Kills 7 minions for 7, better than Flamestrike and STILL returns to your hand.)
And it's outrageously oppresive.
Man this makes me so excited for Trump reviews Trump reviews Trump reviews!
Done something new with your hair kripp?
Kripps hair LUL
It's sad that Trump thought mech would not work now. It's even sadder he was right...
considering how powerful a meta defining a handful of mechs were in gvg, blizzard was far to conservative
lol, Blightnozzle Crawler is actually played in every single Deathrattle Rogue list!
The hairstyle shift: FIVE STARS
More so than a lot of sets, I remember people complaining about all of the "OP" cards prior to the set coming out, and look where we are now. People really aren't good at predicting cards the majority of the time.
How cute that u didn't say kripp's name when you talked about '' the streamer who was wrong about morigan'' :D
Nothing is more relaxing than sitting down and watching these with some coffee.
It's so disappointing how many of those legendary spells suck, almost feels like we were lied to that there are going to be legendary spells in boomsday.
Legendarily bad
This video gave me flashbacks of him playing topsy turvy priest on stream. Man was that a hilarious fail. I remember him counting the pieces in his hand, and by the time he realized that he had everything, the rope was already burning.
Here's your drinking game for this video: choose 4 kinds of alcohol. Arrange them in order of strength, then sip one depending on how off Trump was from his prediction. For example:
If Trump was off by 1 star, sip some wine
If Trump was off by 2 stars, sip some vodka
If Trump was off by 3 stars, sip some tequila
If Trump was off by 4 stars, sip some absinthe
That`s actually a nice idea for a drinking game about a hs video on youtube, if such a think was fun
With 135 cards in an expansion it won't end well even though he had vast majority of cards right or very close. ;)
If you're just sipping, you should be fine.
Welp, guess you drinking absinthe once you hit warrior.
@@imaloony8 Keep telling yourself that! ;P
I love listening to these in the car while I'm heading to and from my late classes
Is it really "fair" to give a card 2 stars just because people "experimented" with it at the beginning of the expansion ? I mean, it's kinda normal to do that, doesn't mean the card is better than a 1 star tho.
He goes by deck tracker if it saw a certain amount of play he gives it a pity star
So it's basically 1 star xD
With that Trump basically got all of the predictions right.
This set was really disappointing, the main theme and mechanics-mechs and magnetize totally missing the mark.
I think your misunderstanding the 2 star eating means it saw enough conpetive play to get a star it's not a pity star it just was fairly common in the meta at one point before being replaced
44:17 "weapons project is almost like Ultimate Infestation" - Trump
Academic Espionage is fucking insane and fun to play with as I expected. My favorite card of the expansion easy.
you worth noting that star aligner is a powerhouse in wild, but glazed over the potential of all of the mech synergy in wild.
Magnetic is pretty much uselesss..."
~ Trump 2018
PS.

Skipperino Kripperino soon you'll get a recognition from Trump as well
Wrongerino usernamino ₩(makino new username: skup trump before it's taken )
Wrong. There's no Kripperino to skip in this video
Rest in Arcane Dust, Giggling Inventor.
isn't giggling inventor 6 stars? it was nerfed by TWO MANA lol.
Mostly because it would of gone right into even paladin at 6 mana
I have a wild mage deck that uses Luna's Pocket Galaxy and it's actually insane
I didn't build the deck around Pocket Galaxy, I just slotted it into an existing deck
the deck already ran a bit of card draw in the form of Aluneth and Arcane Intellect, but it's not even really necessary (although Aluneth + Pocket Galaxy is crazy)
unless your opponent has lethal on you next turn, it can be used as a decent comeback card
Once I casted Storm Bringer TWO TIMES in ARENA as a WARRIOR
Me and my friend were like yeah time to just make a completely meme deck.
One of the lost was even because of AFK XP
It is one of those odd ball that somehow just went too right to be true.
But man it was hilarious getting two spells from the cauldron and have both being The Storm Bringer, and we got to cast both of them and our opponent just rage quited.
The only mech deck I’ve had success with is my home brew odd mech secret Pally. It’s actually been killing it for me lately!
I wonder if there's footage of Ann Coulter competing in the Kentucky derby on UA-cam.
I was playing against a Zerek Deck once and they used their cloning cards to make four of them. I was playing a Hadronox deck, so I held them off for a long time, but I eventually ran out of witching hours and died.
I haven't played this game in over a year and I don't even watch streamers anymore but I still love watching these
Says most magnetics are one star
2019:
Number 1 meta deck in the game right now
Ugh, violet haze. I lost an arena runs to two rogues that highrolled me with violet haze. One got the legendary paladin weapon and Void Lord, the other got mechanical whelp (with a necrium blade equipped) and the corpse flower (with 2 cheap shots in his deck, so resets on it)
Let's just imagine those grey stars for Psychmelon are meant for Wild
I was shocked it took so long for a deck like Zalae's topsy turvey priest to show up.
21:55 lol perfect chair swing
another expansion that doesnt change the meta or print ANY relevant cards (at least gigling inventor WAS played in many decks)
and also druid can keep being a top tier 1 deck by just playing 25 class cards
Great job devs...
@@thesomnograph7278 Brode was sacked because of how OP he made those expansions.
Who else saw toasts new deck and thought the storm bringer is a 5 star card
The opportunity to laugh at your own jokes again is another great reason for this type of video.
i pulled boomship from packs and it is really neat along with baku because you don't want to actually play her.
You should set it up so that it looks like current you is debating past you! Like, one of you on each side of the hearthstone board!!
For topsy turvy otk priest: The main reason the deck doesnt work all that well really is the time limit. I believe that, in some situations, it may be almost impossible to do all what you have to do in the time limit(Like vs a giggling inventor board).
So yeah, this deck is a victim of mechanics.
some of the faces that come up when he pauses the video are hilarious
What goes through the head of someone who types 'Sigh.' unironically as a textual reaction?
Sigh
@Leukemia "unironically" :P
Didn't mention the application of the deathrattle activators in Malygos Rogue....seems weird :>
Do you think that any of the mech ratings would be different if silenced magnetized minions retained the combined stats?
Dr. Morrigan - Post Buff. Rate. A Solid 3 Stars. Except, Big Warlock Has Not Been Supported Since KnC. Meaning It's Been Dead. It Would Never Have Happened.
They will have to be carful with good mechs in the future because of magnetic in standard.
Overall, Trump might be a better Mayor of Valuetown, but my election would be a front for Rogues.
great video you, the commenters, the devs and your friends and editors all have a great mind and are talented thanks for making my day
ThijsHS was playing OTK Paladin at top legend ranks in both Europe and Asia...
I played Zerek, Master Cloner's Wizbang deck. It wasn't good, but it was actually pretty fun.
Cosmic Anomaly + Shooting Star is just a better multi shot that comes with a 4/3 with +2 Spell Damage. I wonder why no one caught this.
This is the first time I have noticed that when he pauses the video... the title is under any of the star changes he made. Makes sense but was like, whoa.
Disappointed that I didn't hear "The madman!" Twice
I didn't even watched the entire druid section and figured out that if Trump would take Wild in consideration he probably would rate those cards higher... Feels bad to see all of these guys treating my format as though as it didn't exist..
Despacito 2: haircut boogaloo
"1 Star: this is ridiculous overkill"
See, this is why I like Trump's reviews, rather than base myself off raw stats.
Mulch Muncher wasn't strong enough because it was in Druid.
Woah, I don't even remember that all these cards existed.
Where are the starts for after the patch?
Watching present day trump laughing at old trump is delightful
Isn’t micro controller used in quest rogue now instead of giggling inventor?
Hello I'm here from the future, and Zilliax is in literally every deck! SIX STARS!
I'm a scrub playing whizbang decks so most of those cards are rated slightly higher for me because I can make them work/synergize well.
even paladin tier 1???
was this recorded before their nerfed call to arms?
Ah I remember everyone screaming "DRUIDSTONE" prior to this expansions release, and yet here we are most of the cards were over estimated.
Spot on. reviews.
The Boomsday Project - 1 star expansion. Easily the worst expansion since The Grand Tournament. Might be the worst.
Wasn't juicy psychmelon always more hyped up for Wild, where it DID dominate?
