    New to FPV here, and took my first flight of my new Avata this past weekend after about 30 hours in a sim. I'm loving how beginner friendly it is, and this already inspires me to look into other fpv drones now to see what's out there. The Avata succeeds in allowing people like me who were intimidated in the past to finally break into this new hobby

      It really is a awesome starter! Welcome 2 the hobby! It goes out on every adventure we go on! And now i got the flylens 85 hd a perfect dunno for bandos to woods!

    About lighting conditions. I only know this from my days of photography. If you are shooting in a nice, lush, green forest, overcast is the best time to film. It is like a light umbrella in a photography studio. High contrast, lighting conditions have always been a issue with photography, sometimes solved with neutral density filter‘s, if doing landscape. If a cloudless day, then the golden hour rule applies. Early morning late day. That’s all I can contribute. 😂

    Awesome video, thank you so much! I’m a beginner FPV and I just ordered the Avata, super excited to learn how to use it. I really appreciated your advice on starting slow. It seems like everybody else I’ve watched goes straight to advanced and it’s intimidating as heck! I’m curious about the added noise/light beacon you added. That seems like a brilliant addition… I know you said it could be found on Amazon. What exactly do I search for? Do you recommend additional prop guards? I know you don’t like the ones you have installed in this video, what do you recommend? I’m very much interested in slow flow as exploring the places and spaces I travel to is definitely what I’m wanting to do, and you reassured me this is the right drone. I friggin’ love the paint job! Well done, and thank you :)

    The avata is a quad copter. Just like my 5 inch. It's a ciniwhoop. It's meant for cruising. The Avata has extra features not found on other FPV drones.

    Get an O3 Air Unit and solve the problems youre talking about and dont worry about the Analog! Lol. I still enjoy flying both. I do love my Avata for certain things for sure and the battery life is great, but the GPS Rescue has gotten so good on Betaflight that its good as good as Dji almost, no you wont have the sensors but thats really it.
    As far as the range, argueabley flying in a Bando youd be better off with the a smaller 3" fpv drone with an O3 Air Unit to learn Acro on and not have so many huge crashes like a 5".
    Plus you can use a much much better RC link like crossfire or elrs and never failsafe and basically fly until the video runs out.
    But yeah i think the best drone to learn on is a 1s tinywhoop..
    When i got my Happy Model Mobula7 1s tiny whoop and i learned to perfect flying around in Acro with and with the LiHV 1s batteries its not too bad at Acro either. Plus with the plastic frame you can literally crash it into anything and just flip it back over and continue flying lol..

    • @Xplicit_fpv
      @Xplicit_fpv  8 місяців тому +1

      Thank you very much for your response I have a new 85 mm Whoop coming with an 03 air unit in it. (Hint hint). As for acro I have been flying that for quite some time I think the Blade torrent 110 was the quad that I learned it on. As you were saying Learning to Fly etcetera 1s whoops are definitely the way to go so much cheaper they don't break as easily and much more affordable to continue repairing or upgrading. As for my other stuff I will still definitely fly analog in the yard or indoors places where things like scraggle will not affect me.

    Great commentary, info and video on the Avata 👍🏼. Maybe you mentioned it and I just missed it, but I didn’t hear anything about using the simulation to try/practice full manual mode before actually doing it for real. Not a fan of the sim, or is that something you would suggest?

    • @Xplicit_fpv
      @Xplicit_fpv  8 місяців тому +1

      Simulators in general I highly recommend like lift off lift off micros uncrashed ,tryp fpv. They really help! Definitely lower all your rates there are a lot of videos out there on it it will fly much better. But learning Acro on the avata is not recommended because it will not hold up to all the abuse

    Hey bud.. grest video 😁👍 can you just give me some more info on the flashing/beeping unit you gorilla glued in behind the camera? What is it called? How long does it last on a full charge? How loud is it exactly? I love the mods you've done.. have you considered upgrading the stock motors to the Axis flying C157s? They have a higher KV output so you have more power? Also how did you mount the rear light? Great video buddy. Cheers 👍

      Thanks for the response the Beeper thing is called the V fly beacon (blue 1) got on amazon wireless. Once I fully charged it the only time it obviously turns on is right before flying I have not even charged it.. it's still going strong as for the LED on the back I've kind of changed things up a little bit I have a bracket that attaches to it creating a headlight and I can fire them back creating rear lights. I highly recommend that beeper if it's in the dark area it will also light up and you will see it and the Beeper is considerably loud

      Very incorrect. You can fly any quad at any speed you want. Its just a factor of having skill or not. If your not flying in full acro then you aint flying it, its flying for you and that in my opinion is a week practice.

      @@Quakedagreat98 the props I picked up on race day quads I'll try to get to a video and show settings but honestly most of them are on automatic because of the type of places we fly like in the woods with lots of sunlight so it makes it hard to set it to 1 thing.i use a uv filter and iso max is 800. I shoot in cine color profile(flat) so i can color. I wanted to do the same thing but the FAA and all the BS rules have made it very hard and almost not worth it

    • @Xplicit_fpv
      @Xplicit_fpv  11 місяців тому +1

      One of the best things especially for woods and obstacles in your way the H in the screen. The gps. Rth. The hd system. But honestly my old-school cinewhoop flew better and I have more control.

    • @GordonScottYankeeEngineer
      @GordonScottYankeeEngineer 11 місяців тому +1

      @@Xplicit_fpv a lot of Cinewhoop‘s are coming with GPS now. So you will have that same arrow to tell you how to get home. Digital is available on everything now. Flight times have increased substantially in the last year or so. As far as price goes, a cinewhoop with all the bells and whistles approaches the price of the Avata.
      As you know, my friend just purchased the Avata on my advice. He is not an FPV pilot, that is why I suggested what I did. It gets him in the air quickly, without the steep learning curve of FPV. So, just for others reading this, I do not dislike the Avata. I recommended it to a friend. It is a tool and has its purpose. But if you have the time and the inclination to learn, dive deep and learn to fly and build. My humble opinion. 😉🙏

      I'm very new to this so take my advice with a grain of salt, but.... after researching this for what seems like hours and hours of videos, the one thing that seems to be unanimous is that once you use G2 or Integra, it is very hard to go back to the massive V2's. Again my advice is worth nothing as I am new, but I would recommend watching a few videos comparing the pros and cons of each line before making your choice. Personally the Integra's came out on top for me, your needs may differ.
