- How to Make Gears of War cosplay chest armor out of Foam! In this series I will be creating Marcus Fenix's armor from Gear of War 1 & 2. In this particular video I am making the panels that cover the back of his chest armor. I do have free PDF templates of the chest armor available on my website if you'd like to make your own. In part I will continue this cosplay armor build by adding detail panels to the back.

@@RoseDeNoire run hands under warm to hot water for a bit. Causes fingers to sweat and slightly swell and makes it easier to pick the glue off

When researching I was shocked to see no one has ever done a video on gears cosplay. Then I started filming all of the details needed 🤣🤣
I tried doing a cardboard and fiberglass version about 12 years ago based off Sid Garrand's (Nightmare Studios) design but it was ultimately a failure and the project was abandoned.
@@hyperguyver2 Yeah sid's is badass I got to see it a loooong time ago hopefully this will get a few that have always wanted some gears armor to give it a shot
@@SKSPropsthis was a big struggle when I was getting into cosplay, I could not find anybody who made gears armor who was willing to share templates and offer guides, so I decided to wing it and make one myself. It's not perfect but I'm proud I made it from scratch. I just wished I learned how to scale and share my templates.

Nope, Marcus doesn’t wear a helmet and that’s the set I’m going for
i have 8mm instead of 6 would it make much of a difference
Some sections might be a little harder to manipulate. Also you might have to adjust the size of some of the patterns to account for the added thickness.
but it should be fine.
Question, how do you make those templates?

Sheet of each size 2,4,6,10mm as well as a pack of round dowels should be fine
