Ek het die Tutorial so geniet en baie geleer. Sal verseker elke Tutorial wil kyk. Baie dankie vir die wonderlike kennis wat jy deel, Koos. Ek is 'n groot bewonderaar. Doen so voort. 😊
I love this format i learn so much. Id love to see a pallet view if that possible so i can see you mixing your paint real time. I learn alot from copying and seeing exactly how you get the colors. Top job and thanks
Oh wow, this is a masterpiece of painting. Your brush strokes and color combination are amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and inspiration ❤
That is beautiful Koos! It is so nice to hear a fellow South African accent! :) I was born and raised in Joburg and had relatives in Pretoria... I used to love visiting when the Jacarandas were in bloom!! You have a very artistic eye and easy style of painting. I will certainly attempt to paint from your tutorial, thanks for uploading it :) I now live in Hawaii, but I miss the motherland a lot....
Clearly you’re an accomplished landscape artist. I hope to see more videos, as I could learn so much from you. Thank you for this one. It was fantastic!!
Nice tutorial- great tips throughout- your brushwork for the right side trees is wonderful- shape- strokes- values- color mix - wonderful! 11:45 Please consider more tutorials of the landscape- thank you Best wishes Btw- your setup is also wonderful for viewers to see - the lighting- angle of canvas is on point! Hope you read your comments- there’s an overall request for more tutorials as such- thank you
I was very impressed by your tutorial. I can’t believe this is only your second, as good as you are. I truly hope to see more landscapes from you. There are very few truly skilled landscape artists on UA-cam they aren’t realists or hyper realists. This turned out beautifully!!
0:14 the intro is amazing- gives the viewer a sense of your beautiful works- A painters ability to see and mix color- along with their signature brushstrokes is what makes their work’s unique and stand out- Beautiful rendition of trees- The landscape compositions - balanced and draw the viewers into a different realm- of another place and time- 0:15 the clouds- beautifully rendered- with values and color mixes- giving the illusion of free floating clouds- wonderful depth-
I love painting on a white canvas I started out that way and only about a year ago I discovered to stain over to be able to see the true color being applied I'm really having to work on that LOL to me or white canvas is crisp and clean painting over a canvas that has got a wash over it trick my mind into thinking I'm painting over a used canvas. I know we're all different😅
This is a really lovely painting. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. You remind me so much of my good friend, artist Louis Audie, from Gauteng. He unfortunately passed away a few years ago. Did you perhaps know him? Regards, Lindy du Toit, from Cape Town.
Don’t feel dejected. This takes a LOT of practice. It’s not as simple as it looks. There’s a lot of fundamentals to know to achieve results like Mr Bronkhorst. It appears deceptively easy, but your looking at a professional artist that has painted for decades. To achieve such an expert look, doesn’t happen overnight. Your experience isn’t unique, so don’t think it’s just you. First, it should just be fun. Mistakes shouldn’t be considered failures. They are experimental learning experiences. That’s great benefit to making mistakes. This shouldn’t cause you any sense of pressure. It’s your creative happy place & your learning brand new skills. Part of it really is the journey. If it gets to be too much, step away for awhile, or even a day or more, until you’ve a fresh pair of eyes to view it. You’ll likely see things you didn’t before. Watch a lot of landscape videos from different artists, even if Mr Bronkhorst is your favorite. It will help you. If you want to paint in this looser method, I’d suggest staying away from painting tutorials on realism or hyper realistic landscapes. Watch videos of master landscape artists works. Believe me, your brain will absorb it and you’ll start to notice some of it coming out in your own paintings. Look at some videos on scale and perspective if you need to. Finally, just practice, practice, practice. You’ll get there 🙂🙂🙂
Please make more videos. I love your style and want to learn more. Thanks.
Who is going to say what? So true! That's happened to me way too many times! Thanks for sharing

I never met Louis, but my friend Mike Parsons used to talk about him
Πολύ ωραίο τοπίο. Θα ήταν χρήσιμο για μας αν βλέπαμε συνέχεια την παλέτα και το ανακάτεμα των χρωμάτων. Ευχαριστούμε!
It's all Greek to me, I think...
