I bet both these guys would tear it up in powerlifting especially in the deadlift and squat. Their potential totals would already be very high just with those two lifts. I bought some of his thumb tape, great stuff!

I believe you quite naturally find out the most powerful and stable stance for your foot angle. Like doing lunges you will notice that your most stable position is when your backleg turns slightly inward, the front leg might also turn just slightly. It's in my eyes natural to just slightly drive the balance towards the middle of your body in both directions (frontal and sagittal planes), which helps controlling the weight. In my uneducated head. Feet straight ahead feels more open to pushing out of balance. Obviously a big factor is also the width of the stance, the wider it is the less compromised (to a point) you feel despite the foot angle. In the end your hip structure just might lead you to one position or the other and it's most likely better to follow what your body can do than try to force a text book form. Just like when squatting different people have different width and feet angle due to their structure. My legs for example seem pretty prone to turn inwards and feet outwards, so turning the feet slightly inward when lunging feels very good. What I am not good at is opening my thighs really really wide even though I have decent mobility.

@Георгий Кузнецов Китайцы даже перед соревнованиями приседают и тянут и на азии пообновляли мировые рекорды.
