This is an outstanding interview, jam-packed with great information. Why wouldn't the IOC follow the science? It just affirms how much more men are valued than women, that they would crush a woman's ambition, dreams, and opportunities to accommodate men who "identify" as us. It's ludicrous!

It is sickening the way this even has to be discussed. When was the last time you heard of a woman escorting a man for protection? If something is heavy, when does a man ever ask a woman to take on the task of lifting. Women are born, not worn. Trans people say they "just want to be left alone." Well, we women and girls also want to be left alone. The feelings and spaces of women and girls has been utterly discarded. This is so misogynistic.

      Absolutely spot on.
Well said. Please let's bring back common sense, fairness and equality for women ♀️

Brilliant. Sharing this again, today because the New Ol' Olympics are letting m3n compete against wom3n.

If you show that athletics event and you talk over it it is 100% FAIR USE, educational and transformative.

I think you are heading in the right direction, but haven't quite gotten there yet. I think you missed one aspect or danced around it. So, something else to consider. Not all transgender athletes are the same. There are a variety of biological causes that led to us being transgender in the first place. Like any other condition, nature loves diversity, and a lot of those conditions are not conducive to sport. So, I think you have used the crutch/same similar flaw that many others make, and that is the assumption that a transgender woman starts from the same biological base as a cisgender male. And then add on top that, that transgender kids today are mostly skipping male puberty all together...and the argument of advantage goes away quickly (they never get it/go through it and follow a similar biological path as a cisgender female).
Would love to discuss further with you, so feel free to contact for a more thorough discussion...

      1. "Not all transgender athletes are the same"
      - I rather think the point is that on average, the "transgender" athlete born male will have an unfair advantage. On average. Just as not every steroid cheat will beat all the clean competition every time... the point is that they have an unfair advantage on average. And that's why the latter behavior is prohibited.
      -
      2. "the assumption that a transgender woman starts from the same biological base as a cisgender male."
      - On average, in fact overwhelmingly, they do.
      -
      3. "transgender kids today are mostly skipping male puberty all together"
      - And as we're observing in Scandinavian countries now, taking extremely powerful puberty suppressants like Lupron are leading to an increased risk of serious health problems later in life. This is undoubtedly going to be seriously curtailed- if not abolished- in the near future in most developed nations. And rightly so.

@@jananilcolonoscopu4034 I would ask you to site the studies supporting your responses for 1 and 2. As far as I know, these things are not currently being tracked by anyone. Only assumptions are being made.
And we probably want to avoid the Lupron discussion all together. I agree its dangerous and the only reason why it is being used in the first place is because the individual is not trusted to make their own decisions in our legal/medical environment. (Even thought it is something they are inherently aware of since the age of 3-5 years old, typically.) E.g., a stop gap measure to get them to a more legally/medically acceptable age. Eliminate this, allow medical interventions earlier, and the need for Lupron for this use disappears.

@@christine_penn the UK Nice evidence review and Sweden's health and technology evidence review are- alone- more than sufficient to state that the cost/benefit analysis of the use of puberty blockade as a "treatment" skews firmly towards "cost" rather than benefit. You're behind the times.
Secondly your proposed solution to the health harms of puberty blockade is to permit children to castrate themselves prior to puberty, leading to... Health harms in later life? How very odd of you. I'm sorry, but your position is clearly based on pure ideology rather than practicality. I'm sure you believe desistence is "not a thing" on the basis of your claims. Tut tut.

Do we really need studies to know that men have a physical and strength advantage over women? It is an obvious fact! Men in women’s sports = no women’s sports.

Lia Thomas? Laurell Hubbard? Kate McKinnon? What do you mean, “speak when we see it” - it’s here, it happened. Lia Thomas displaced every other female in that competition, shattered a record, and took gold. What more do you need to see?
If 1 adult male wants to compete in the under-12s, should we allow that just because he’s 1 adult male vs 100 000 kids ? This makes no sense as an argument.
Also it’s not “1 tw”, it’s Lia Thomas, Laurel Hubbard, Kate McKinnon, Fallon Fox - these are only the famous ones, how many males are competing at the grass root level and displacing women there? Or trans identified males getting scholarships through sports, taking those scholarships away from female athletes they were intended for.
