Thank you for this video 💕 I’ve been having such a hard time in my second pregnancy. The exhaustion/sickness, mom guilt and the insecurity about my body has been a lot. It’s so comforting to hear someone else say the same things I’m feeling ❤

Thank you for talking about feeling like your husband is becoming the favorite parent because I'm going through the same thoughts and feelings right now myself and that made me tear up because I can relate so much but also feel less alone in it!! I'm 29 weeks pregnant, having one-sided hip/low back pain when I walk. I can't pick up my 13-month old and we can't go and do all the fun things I was doing with her just a few weeks ago because it's such a struggle to walk around. I'm incredibly grateful for my husband's help with her, but I am totally struggling with feelings of missing out and not being "fun" and her crying every time he leaves the room and not wanting me as much as him. I don't have anything helpful to say, just that I appreciate you sharing!

So comforting to hear other people going through the same thing. I'm currently in my first trimester with my second child, and haven't been able to do much with my toddler because of the nausea. Daddy has become the favorite lately, and even though I know I shouldn't take it personally, I feel so rejected and hurt when she won't let me comfort her or give her a hug, and only wants her dad. Really makes me feel like a failure as a mom.

A note from a mom who has 2 under 2 (a soon to be 2 year old and a 8 month old), this is the start of when i started to compare every sjngle thing to my first pregnancy and then when i had my second child i was constantly comparing him to my eldest. Its so hard not to compare but remember they are 2 different babies, 2 different humans and no one is the same! Youll look back and kick yourself for being too hard on yourself ! Just enjoy the ride and live in the moment! Dont look back on your previous pregnancy because this one is new for the him/her and you!! ❤

I'm 22 weeks with my 1st child after trying for 10 years and I work outside the home 8 to 5. I have never envied those who are either sahm or work from home the way I did my 1st trimester. It was so hard to be away from home and not feeling well everyday. My nausea didn't improve until I hit 20 weeks. Also, i appreciate how honest you are. It can feel like im being ungrateful for this pregnancy when im feeling sick and frustrated about symptoms so its nice to know others feel this way too!

This is my first pregnancy and I am so excited that my favorite UA-camr is going through the same things at the same time as me (I’m a bit behind you but by the time you release it it’s relevant to where I’m at). I have been so nauseous, I had my gallbladder removed right before getting pregnant so I don’t know if that’s part of it. I hope you feel better soon though, I hate to hear how you’re suffering too. I feel guilty not being excited when I feel like poo.

I’m scared to have a second due to a difficult pregnancy in the height of pandemic. These videos always remind me that we aren’t perfect and pregnancy isn’t perfect. I love the honesty because it’s so relatable, but you don’t hear it often and you don’t want to appear ungrateful or like you are making a big deal out of nothing when “no one else” has thoughts like me :) you can love you baby and being pregnant while also appreciating that it’s difficult at times. THANK YOU!

This is the real talk video I wish I had seen in my first trimester. It was so rough and didn’t magically get better at 13 weeks it slowly tampered off and it wasn’t till about 20 weeks that I really started to feel like myself again. I remember barely being able to walk around the block and looking at pictures of my friend who summoned a volcano while she was pregnant and I just felt so weak and broken like something was wrong with me.
All I remembered hearing before I got pregnant was about how hard the end of pregnancy is when you are big. I never heard anyone talk about how hard the start can be so I worried it was only going to get worse from there. Instead I felt great at the end. My daughter was 2 weeks overdue and people kept asking how I was hold up and I would say “great this is easy compared to how it started” was walking several miles every day and eating well and nesting. It gets better and like you said it’s all worth it. Thank you so much for being so real about the first trimester pains.

I'm currently 24 weeks in my first pregnancy and we had almost the same 1st trimester!! I was absolutely unprepared for how hard it could be, so I'm so glad you're speaking so candidly about it. I had to tell myself over and over and over that in the end it was a few weeks/months of misery for a whole lifetime with my baby but I really wish we could be better prepared and feel less alone during the 1st trimester!
For anyone currently there and wondering if it will ever get better, I got hit HARD with nausea at 6 weeks on the dot and started feeling more normal around 15 weeks. It's not forever for most people!!

Thank you so much for sharing this. I can relate to so much of what you said. I'm currently 14 weeks in my second pregnancy and this one has been so rough. I had similar struggles with nausea and exhaustion and mom guilt because I didn't have enough energy to play with my two year old. We had to put her in day care more and give her screen time just so I could survive. Also, I really appreciate what you said about body image. I feel like i'm already showing whereas with my first I was almost 6 months and barely showing at all. I also felt so lazy and unproductive during my first trimester in addition to being a bad mom and wife and I struggled to show up for work at all most days. So, thank you for making me feel less alone.

Thank you Nicole for sharing! I’ve been following you pre-sage, and during your pregnancy and postpartum with Sage and now with #2 on the way! I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing and being so real, down to earth and relatable! I only have 1 toddler (20 months old) and my husband and I are talking about baby #2 now. With my first I was throwing up 1-2 times a day my whole first trimester and wasn’t sure how I was going to get through it. I drank a lot of lemon water my first trimester to the point where I don’t like the smell of anything lemony or citrusy anymore 😂 I’m so happy you’re feeling better now ❤❤❤ also, I showed pretty quickly with my first and gained a lot of weight and was self conscious too! My friend is having her 4th kid and at 4 months pregnant still wasn’t showing (literally a flat belly wearing high waisted jeans that looked a bit lose 🤷🏻‍♀️😳) and I started comparing my body to hers. I can’t choose or control my genetics, but I need to love me and my body for how it is ❤ I’m still trying to lose baby weight from my first who’s 20 months🙄 but with time, patience, grace and consistency things will get better. 🙏🏼💕

Thank you so much for this video. Im currently 11 weeks and this is my 4th pregnancy. I am starting all over again as I have two older kids (14 & 11). This pregnancy has been a blessing. I had a miscarriage with my 3rd pregnancy a few years ago and really thought I would no longer be able to have kids. I’ve felt so tired and nauseous with this pregnancy so far. And I don’t remember feeling like this with my son or daughter. So yes every pregnancy is indeed different. I really haven’t had much of an appetite with this pregnancy, but when I do I crave fast food too. Oddly enough, I haven’t had heartburn and usually fast food would trigger heartburn for me. So many new things to learn on this new adventure, and I’m glad I’m able to follow along with yours. 😊

Just like you I used those nausea bands all day long and had the indentations on my wrists from it. Also lots of ginger. But I also took medication prescribed by my doctor otherwise I wouldn’t be able to take care of my kids. I’m hoping the rest of the pregnancy is better.

Thank you for being real, I relate so much to everything you're saying. Im 14 weeks now and SLOWLY coming out of it, but holy hell, this has been rough. Having a little one already and having no energy to do anything, the mum guilt, the nausea particularly around raw food and being unable to cook - yes, yes yes, preach, I hear you!!
I hope that we are both feeling way better soon 🙏🫂
Also, Im guessing boy 😘 my first was a boy and I was pretty sure he was made 95% out of potato 🤣

Wow this is exactly how my two pregnancies were. First one, barely any nausea, walked so much, ate mostly healthy. Fatigue ended at exactly 12 weeks. Second pregnancy, nauseous and only wanted to eat Taco Bell, didn’t walk much, fatigue lasted mostly entire pregnancy and postpartum lol. Both pregnancies were girls though! They are so worth it, even though they both drive me crazy at 4.5 years old and 20 months old. you’re doing great!!

I just hit 16 weeks today. Had almost the same type of first trimester as you and it felt awful compared to my pre baby self. Went for tracking calories and being very active, to hating most proteins, especially if I could smell them being cooked, and wanting just bland carbs. Noodles and butter lol was worried I was gaining too fast, but checked myself as my activity level almost stopped with exhaustion and I couldn’t eat normal. Thank goodness week 12 hit and I’ve upped my activity level and food has been much better

I'm in my 6th week and Ive had intense nausea since my about my 4th week. Its been so HORRIBLE. No I haven't been throwing up but I've been bed riden for almost that whole time. I've just been feeling awful and even my husband gets worried. I try to go more homeopathic routs but had to get actual prescribed meds. It hasn't made much difference but I'm hopeful it'll end with the first trimester. Thank you for sharing this. I don't feel so alone knowing others have been to the point of not moving.

I have 9 children, carried them all. Every single pregnancy was different and when you have these ideas about how to be fit and healthy, and it doesnt happen, you can be so hard on yourself, and worry that other people are judging because it was easier for them or easier last time, or they had it only one time and it wasnt a big deal. We all experience pregnancy different, not only from each other but from pregnancy to pregnancy. You are a great mom, you'll get back into the swing of things. Dont be too hard on yourself, the guilt is more damaging I think, than the fast food. :)

I became pregnany at the end of 2020. And the first trimester was really hard. I was also crying an throwinh up so much. The only thing I could eat was strawberries. Meats wrre horrible. I could smell beef and chicken miles away and it made me gag sooo much. I lost weight from 80 kg down to 65 kgxD it was the lowest in my life.
We try to get pregnant again. My daughter will be 2 in July. So I am kinda excited but also scared how different it will be. Because I also work now. But just seeing so many women being pregnant or having little babies I just can't wait ❤
And your feelings are so valid. You was (and still am) your little girls safespace. And nothing will change this! You are an awesome mama and Sage loves you so much. And just seeing her to experience this great relationship with you and her dad is awesome and thinking that she will have a sibling is so great!

Couldn’t have related enough with this video! My first pregnancy was a girl and even though I had some pretty bad nausea that required me to take prescription medication I have been having issues with this current pregnancy as well (20 weeks). I haven’t been as nauseous as my first but I have been so exhausted/drained and the food aversion has been overwhelming so my diet was mainly liquids for the longest time. I got the stomach flu and an awful UTI this pregnancy that required me to be on bed rest for a while but luckily it has gotten a lot better! My bump isn’t as big as I thought it was going to be at this time but I try to remind myself that maybe it will mean I won’t have terrible stretch marks to deal with afterwards. My ultrasound tech said that it looks like I’m having another girl but I get another ultrasound this coming up week to make sure. Bump buddies 🤰🏽

Aww I know how your feeling. I just had my 3rd baby a little girl. This pregnancy was soo hard. I have two little boys who needed me 2 and 3 years old and I was just so sick I couldn't function from 5 weeks till 18 weeks and even longer.. the mum guilt is real and I felt like I was missing out on so much with my boys. My partner works long days so I struggled so much. I'd love another baby one day but honestly don't know that I will have one because it was just so difficult.

Nausea in first trimester killed my will to live. I was crying out of desperation, it was so awful. I never had a break from it...magical ingredients didn't help at all, I was eating all the time because it made me feel a little bit better so I gained 4 kilos only in my first trimester. Let's not talk about smells, I hated every smell - nice or awful, I was gagging all the time. Terrible times. Now 24 weeks pregnant and gained in total 6 kilos. So yeah, first trimester was something I'm not ready to face soon again. Now it's all great, I started to feel better around 16. week. So I can understand you, you alredy look well so I'm sure great times are ahead of you!

Thank you for sharing authentically. I relate to everything... especially about showing earlier for some reason and feeling really embarrassed about it. I don't want people assuming I'm becoming heavier even though I still haven't put on much weight but I do look pulgy around the belly. Actually I'm sure it has to do with pelvic recti in my case ... will be working on it after this pregnancy because it's causing me so much discomfort whenever I'm trying to fall asleep ... I feel like my soul is about to leave my body :/

I think one thing women need to understand is the very idea of pregnancy: your body is growing and nurturing another life, a new human being! 🤯🙌We really can't set expectations or think we need to be a certain way, or live a certain lifestyle... Give yourself a break, don't be so hard on yourself for growing a new life.🥰 Every pregnancy is different. Sometimes it's as basic as carrying a girl vs. carrying a boy (for example, my SIL had really low BP and constant presyncopal episodes carrying my nieces, but was totally fine carrying my nephew). So please give yourself a break and don't beat yourself over what you eat or what you're able or not able to do🤗 You got this!❤

Firstly, congratulations on your second little bean (sorry I used to call my baby that as we didn’t find out the gender), secondly, I've been a quiet lurker of your channel for many years. When I was pregnant with my daughter last year I watched all of your pregnancy videos with Sage and I just couldn't relate to any of it. I was sick until around 30 weeks and the nausea only went when my daughter was born, my pregnancy was utterly grim. Anyway the point I'm trying to make although not very succinctly is that I feel like this video will be a comfort to other women who may be struggling during their pregnancy 💗

I was vomiting 3-10 times in a day from like 5ish weeks until I delivered 🤢 It was soooo bad I had to get IV’s due to dehydration. 33 weeks with my second now and hardly had any nausea and only vomited a few times in the beginning. And I feel ya with the toddler life, you don’t get any down time no matter how tired you are 😓
