    This is the second video that demonstrates an electric seat moving back and forth in a vehicle that needs battery replaced. That's just an observation.

      Fair point. What I failed to show in the video is that I hooked up a jump box under the Cayenne's hood on the jump points that are shown in the owner's manual. Doing that provides enough power to run the seats and open the rear hatch.

      @@GuysWithRides1 Great video though, just the same. Thank you for posting, it made job a lot easier to accomplish.

    Excellent video. I have a tricky problem. Just days before my battery died, my driver seat controls stopped working!!! It is too far forward to tilt back / hits the steering wheel. Will removing all 4 seat mounting bolts allow the whole seat to be pushed back? I bought a used seat controller module. Do you have a video for that type of problem. Is there a fuse for the seat module? What do those fuses next to the battery box operate? any info is appreciated! John in FLA

      Ugh. Before you try that, the one thing I did not show in the video is that I connected a Battery Jumper box to get my seat to move. I've replaced two batteries in my Cayenne thus far, and odd electrical gremlins appeared each time just before the battery went flat. So, I would try hooking up a battery box and attempting to move the seat with the existing controller first. You might luck out.

    How do you slide the seats back when the battery is dead

    • @GuysWithRides1
      @GuysWithRides1  Місяць тому

      In those situations, you can hook up a portable battery box like you are going to jump start the car. That should provide enough power to operate the seat.

    Do you have a video for replacing the battery in the rear?

      Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, your Cayenne's current problem is a question for the members of Rennlist or Carpokes to address as I don't have an answer for that.

    What OBD service tool do you use with the 955?

    • @GuysWithRides1
      @GuysWithRides1  8 місяців тому

      I own a Durametric Scan Tool I use in combination with my laptop. I do not recall any step of having to "register" the battery replacement.

      No, not on the first-generation 955 Cayenne.

      @@A1Googler I don't recall ever having to "register" a replacement battery in my Cayenne. I guess that's a later geneartion thing? One more reason to keep mine!

    What if your is battery dead and power seats won't move?

    • @GuysWithRides1
      @GuysWithRides1  Рік тому

      Great question. I would either connect to another car battery using jumper cables or a jump box. That should give your Cayenne enough power to move the seat to change out the old flat battery. Good luck!

      Where do you connect jumper to if you can't get to the battery?

    • @SterlingEvo
      @SterlingEvo 10 місяців тому

      There are jumper connecters under the front hood. If you're standing in front of the car looking at the engine, it's on the right side under a plastic panel @@jerrylee1100

      Well, based on the comments received to date, your opinion is in the minority. Instead of simply complaining, why don't you take the time to provide actual feedback one what this video lacks.
