51-Mile 2000 Plymouth Prowler Woodward Edition #123 of #151 - Coming Soon To Bring a Trailer!
Coming soon to Bring a Trailer is this 51-mile 2000 Plymouth Prowler Woodward Edition #123 being offered by the Original owner.
This Prowler is a 51-mile time capsule and a rare Woodward Edition, number 123, one of only 151 produced.
Plymouth only produced 151 Woodward Editions. With only 51 original miles, this is likely the lowest mileage example anywhere.
During the 1990s, under the direction of Tom Gale, Chrysler displayed an innovative car design swagger, the likes of which will likely never be replicated. This domestic automotive renaissance at Chrysler produced several cars naysayers said could never be built, the most radical of which was the Plymouth Prowler.
When Chrysler engineers were given free rein to design a modern hot rod. Chrysler’s design and international director Tom Gale said, “his love for 1930s-era hot rods inspired the retro-styled Plymouth Prowler.” Gale, who has a hotted-up 1932 Ford in his garage, approved the hotrod-inspired Plymouth Prowler as a follow-up to the equally stunning Dodge Viper. Not well known is that the design was originally inspired by a retro roadster concept penned by Chip Foose during his earlier days before he was a household name.
While the open-wheel design and all-aluminum construction represented out-of-the-box thinking, the rest of the car’s styling left a bit to be desired. The use of a 3.5-liter V6 and automatic transmission powertrain disappointed many potential buyers who felt the car deserved a V8 to be a true Hot Rod. That, combined with a hand-built price tag starting at $43,000 in 2000 (roughly $78,000 in today’s dollars), limited the Prowler’s production to only 11,702 units between 1997 and 2002.
This 2000 Plymouth Prowler is one of 151 Woodward Edition examples produced for the model year and is named after the historic cruising boulevard in Detroit. It is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 paired with a four-speed automatic transaxle and is finished in two-tone Prowler Black and red over Agate leather upholstery. Equipment includes staggered-diameter five-spoke wheels, a black convertible top, air conditioning, cruise control, and an Infinity sound system connected to an AM/FM/cassette stereo with a CD changer.
The car is finished in two-tone Prowler Black and red with a red-painted pinstripe, and features split front and rear bumpers with integrated lights as well as cycle-style front fenders, dual exhaust outlets, and a black manually operated convertible top that stows in the rear-hinged trunk.
Chrome-finished 17″ and 20″ five-spoke wheels are mounted with Goodyear Eagle GS-D tires measuring 295/40 up front and 225/45 out back. The suspension utilizes coilovers mounted inboard of the narrow front bodywork, and braking is from four-wheel ventilated discs. This example features its original set of tires. Despite having only fifty miles and stored out of direct sunlight, we recommend prospective buyers plan to buy a replacement set of tires if they plan to add any miles to the car.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an AutoMeter tachometer, and a body-color instrument panel houses a central 150-mph speedometer and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows just 50 miles.
The 3.5-liter V6 features an aluminum block and was factory rated at 253 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque. Power gets delivered to the rear wheels through a torque tube and a rear-mounted four-speed automatic transaxle.
Named after the most historic cruising boulevard in the country, the Woodward Edition was the first two-tone Prowler ever produced. The two-tone scheme used the Prowler Red (PRD) and Prowler Black (PXT) colors and created a special scheme that separated itself from the rest of the Prowler lineup.
While the hood, rear deck lid, and upper doors were painted in Prowler Black, famed Detroit pinstriper “Dr. Ru” hand-painted a red stripe around the lower portion of the black-painted area. Dr. Ru then signed and numbered each of the 151 Woodward Edition production models just above the rear license plate bracket. Two additional pilot cars were produced without the signature.
When new, the original owner purchased two Prowlers: A purple example he used for several years as his "Down The Shore" car during Jersey summers. This example, however, remained in his eclectic collection unused.
The 51 miles represent the only time the original owner drove the car home from the dealership, while his personal mechanic added the balance of miles by driving it on the runway of the owner's airport.
This Prowler has only been on public roads once: the day the original owner drove it to the airport he owns.
This 2000 Plymouth Prowler is a unique opportunity to purchase what is essentially a twenty-four-year-old new car.

That button is definitely not for down shifting 😂
Where can you make a purchase
Follow the links in the description or go to Craigslist for the city for the car you are interested in.
Super helpful - thanks for taking the time to do this
89 fox body 👍👍👍👍👍
TDN rules!
Cat
Oldsmobile cutlass 67
Like me an old ford. Helping out with a 59 f100 4X4 4spd . It will be in hemmings motor soon. 😊
Try putting it on our site first!
@ I’ll ask. Old dude I’m helping,is set in his ways
Are these cars available
Yes, if you click the link in the description, you can find the actual Craigslist link for the car you are interested in. You can also look on the Craigslist for the city where the car you are interested in is located to find the direct link.
Excellent
Gotta love a classic baby Lincoln!
These cars have such character... new ones don't
I feel like modern cars lost detail, the old ones have little details that modern ones lack
So into these old school square body trucks. The bigger the better. That’s just American 🇺🇸
Great video and easy to follow!!!
Awesome video mane. I’ll be doing both of mine soon. Looks like a long job that went very well!
The Lincoln. Because of the film The Car but I do believe The Car was a 71. Close enough
Very nice
All nice but choose towncar. 300 is rare.
I have a 1965 Karma gear convertible. It’s also an automatic I’m in the process of restoring it myself, but that’s gonna be a long-term thing as you know and especially since this was in such bad shape what I got it it was a parts car so anywayI’m working on it
Onice
Bull nose!
Super Cool thats for sure!
Now you’re talkin, a 66 Vette!
Magnificent Imperial, only 2,563 were coupes. I imagine even fewer were with the "LeBaron" top trim. 16,729 Imperials were made for the 1973 model year. The true definition of an Malaise Era land yacht.
Mg midget deffinently
What a tiny😅
keep up the good work just stopping by to show another small content creator like myself some love
Very nice and decent prices
Thanks, be sure to subscribe and see our daily finds six days each week!
Bring-a-Scammer has lately been removing comments when people point out weird looking VIN tags or issues about representations in the narrative.
The '80 Vette and the '84 Alfa. Two of the most beautiful cars ever made, IMO
Enjoy the videos. Wish you hadn’t sold it LMAO when you are just staring at it. We have all been there !
Love these cars
The LT5 was launched in the ZR1. The LT4 was released in 1996 with a manual transmission only.
The 405hp ZR1 motor was an LT-5, not LT-4. That was a 96 manual ONLY option 330hp engine.
C4 100 %
'91+ C4 I hate the front end on the 5.
Corvette, the trailer park of sports cars.
Had 2 C4's and a C5 and for comfort and drivability hands down the C5. But I grew up with the C4 and it will always hold a soft spot with me!
The C5s are great cars until you need to replace the fuel pump, rear main seal, torque tube, clutch or transmission...I think I'll just stick with my C3
Is this an AI pod cast?
Hi John. To clarify, without AI, I combined my traditional background research and data pulls with my personal knowledge about the cars to develop the presentation and the "B" Roll video/pictures I sourced. Instead of filming myself, I used AI to read my presentation and develop the conversation. Candidly, I believe it comes across as more engaging content than having me present it.
Its like listening to two aliens from Zenebulan 5 trying to sound like a gen x who never actually driven a corvette, but is hella good at reading English
C5 any day.
Both the C4 and the C5 were extraordinary when they were introduced. Both were true world-class sports cars compared to their contemporaries. Comparing the C5 to the C4 is as fair as comparing the C8 to the C5, though I would choose the C5 over the C4 or the C8 (and I did). Looks are subjective, but I find the C5 the best-looking Corvette since the early, pre-crash bumper C3. My C5 works for me, but I think the C4 deserves more love than it gets.
Agreed, beyond the crossfire '84 launch model, the C4 deserves more love. However, it will get more challenging as prices for the C5 regularly fall below $20K.
At least with the c4 i dont have to tear the rear suspension iut of the car to replace to clutch. Who in the hell designs a car like that fir the street ? That is a stupid idea. This js a car to enjoy, not empty your bank account.
Like a few ! 😅
You had a receiver that was communicating with Aliens.
Very interesting. Thanks.
My first car. Took a girl out to the movies in it in Westwood, California and ended up driving down the wrong side of the street. 😺😺😺
Just wanted to leave some gratitude here for your videos! Helped me get my steering rack out recently. Get another 928! You’ll be back 😊
Great session guys. Howard is a great custodian to his collection. Glad that he has won many awards for his tremendous effort...
How much time would you estimate this? As well as cost in labor ?
One Shelby Falcon ? Too weird . Hertz Falcons: probably thousands Memphis Dan LeLoLai
