Have bought several tools from Vevor and can't complain about the quality or the price. Corporate structures are sometimes very complex. I have had a great experience even when a winch was missing the mounting hardware. They overnighted the missing parts. Was very impressed.
Me too I have reviews on several products and they are a better value than HF....the 90 day warranty at HF is total crap anyway. almost everything will last 90 days. This video is a joke to me. Their welders are hands down off the hook better than HF even the vulcan or Titanium. I gave away my Titanium to keep my VEVOR.....let me put it that way.
@@Mikefngarage The video is not a joke. You had a good experience, great. I have on a few things as well. Every welder I have ever seen is better than HF, especially modern inverter TIG which has gotten to be incredible value for money over the last few years while HF seems to have missed the boat. But Vevor is far from the best game in town on welders. Plus you can pray that you don't end up with a product that they don't have good support for, because I've had a few of those and it's to the point that I won't trust them anymore. If you want good cheap Chinese power tools WEN is a good option, but not welders or anything like the vast product line that Vevor carries. WEN focuses on power tools and makes pretty good stuff. As for Vevor, they are just a rebadging company that puts their name on whatever they can get their hands on and market it as such. Chinese manufacturing is complicated, and there is a lot of opportunity to operate the way Vevor does and as long as the original maker of the item made a good quality product then all goes well. But a lot of them do not and Vevor sells that junk too, and it is impossible to know from online pics and listings what you are going to get. Buyer beware as always, and I'll never risk a large online purchase with them. Your mileage may vary.
Fascinating! I'm really impressed with your investigative skills and perseverance! I, like many, have been inundated with Vevor ads, and have wondered who/what/when. Thanks for the public service!
I’ve found that many Vevor tools are just rebranded or resold models and I’ve had good luck with them especially given their price point. I’ve got that anvil and it’s great if you don’t mind buffing off the rust every so often. And their lights have held up well. Their 3-ton follow jack has been better than my Craftsman, and I have their thermal imager and it is co-branded with others including Topdon. Solid unit. But all that said, I don’t have any warranty experience with them but many others who have reported not feeling satisfied. Vevor is hoping for more of my support, but I think I’ll take a break and see how this plays out. Thanks neighbor.
I tend to agree - for most things I believe they are more of a branding company than an actual manufacturer - I don't know if I would trust my life to a set of jack stands with the VEVOR name on them unless they were shown to be manufactured and tested the same as another brand that would have some legal presence here in the US.
I have the same experience. I haven't bought many things, but what I have seem to be pretty good quality and an excellent value for the money. No, I haven't had any warranty issues so I can't speak on that.
Thank you for doing my homework for me - MUCH appreciated! I was going to buy an expensive tool from Vevor for my business but now I'm looking elsewhere. Subscribed!
I have been running Vevor diesel parking heaters for the past few years, they work really well, zero regrets buying them especially if you like staying warm 😊👍
I've been blessed to have a variety of companies send me items to review including VEVOR. I'll say that the vast majority of the items they have sent have been on par with HF's offerings. They have a few duds here and there, but they quickly leave their store and are never mentioned again. I really get the Harbor Freight in 1998 vibe from them as they are working to find their place in the online tool world. Overall I'd say for the price, they offer tools and many other things that get the job done.
Maybe it's different in Australia but I've been buying stuff from Vevor for years with no issues. I have a lot of workshop tools from them and on the odd occasions there has been an issue the replacement has been without question and immediate. I've got stuff like hydraulic wheel skates, transmission lift, porta power, parts washer, injector cleaner/tester, ultrasonic cleaner, drag chains, ball joint press, brake lathe and even a car-sized inflatable spray booth. Could be there's a management issue in the US branch but all is good here.
I purchased a Stainless Steel sprayer from VEVOR and have nothing but trouble with it firtst of all the hose was so week it would kink at the fitting near the tank, so I replaced the hose and included a spring where it would previous;y kink, after that the I could get pressure in the tank so I replaced the O ring and the flat on the pump barrel and now I have the same problem again and have sent 3 videos and an explanation to support but they say there ws no video attached and I am not able to get any satisfaction from this company.
I have several Vevor products all are pretty good quality. I had one product, their dust collector, which came damaged, they had a new one sent to me and I got it in like 2 days. So far so good!
I bought their variable speed portable bandsaw with the mitre base for about $150 on Amazon. Expectations were low seeing as HF sells three base without a saw for nearly the same price. Well now I've put it through about 400 cuts through 1" mild steel, and i have to admit I'm impressed. The motor doesnt even flinch, even on 2" aluminum solid with an aggressive blade. The blade guides are great and tracks like a laser, really helping blade life. The pivot is also nice and solid. The only gripe i have is the mitre scale is about 2° off, and the vice needed to be shimmed .050" on one side, which is easy enough and kind of expected from stamped steel. Im not a fan of knocking off someone's IP, but realistically there's nothing novel about a bandsaw design, really just how well it's built, and they've done that well.
Thank You Red, for ALL of the due diligence that you do, to inform most of us here who are not aware of these kinds of companies! It is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!!
This is why you need to stop buying the cheapest brand out there and buy American made any time it’s available and spend the extra $5!! Almost all of the Chinese companies are just like VEVOR and they are all guilty of copyright infringement. It’s fairly easy to keep a product cheap when your company didn’t spend the last several years thru R&D, design, testing, market evaluation, etc and you just find the product plans and go straight to manufacturing after reducing the quality of materials to reduce cost even more and then use childhood labor to manufacture it and everytime you purchase one of these products, your telling the Chinese it’s ok to steal American design and patents and build it on their own and piss on the American who designed it and is relying upon that product to feed his family and pay his mortgage, etc, it’s all ok as long as you save your $5 or $10 to buy the inferior product that feeds the Chinese communist party who then use that money against you and your family!!
I dont agree with this information on this video....Vevor has been way better value and better quality on just about every product I have reviewed. I personally gave away my titanium welder to keep my VEVOR....it is cheaper and better. at $259 I have had it more than a year and it welds better. The titanium would burn back wire when using .6mm Vevor does not with high heat. Every product I have gotten is either cheaper and or better than HF....this is propaganda I think the tool den guy is sponsored. I am not.
@@1982MCI Harbor freight and vevor do the same thing. They sell China knock offs. In fact many of the products are the same manufacturer and they are branded by them differently. Just that vevor sells direct from the wherehouse and HF sells retail store. Both companies are China whores. But many of us DIY are using these cheaper tools because we can afford to have one. Not because of them being the best quality. I always say.....Buy a cheap one and if you wear it out or break it then get the better quality one. I buy a lot from HF. but singling out Vevor is pretty unfair when they have some stuff that is clearly better and cheaper than HF. the 90 day warranty is total crap anyway. anything lasts 90 days. and paying for a warranty is ridiculous when it can only be used once. Beware.....I sense propaganda on this video.
@@Mikefngarage Things have changed with this company in the past year or so, drastically! When this video was released, Vevor's business practices were not the best (to put it VERY MILDLY). I'm very happy to see they did turn the company around, in a HUGE way! Most companies in their earlier position would not have made it. You have to understand that they only rebrand products that are made by a number of Chinese companies. I'm not certain if they actually produce anything themselves. (It's possible though. )They have every product you can think of! Especially, specialty tools. I'm not affiliated with Harbor Freight in any way, not have I ever been. It's nice to see that Vevor has a number of products for very low prices. That can certainly create good competition for consumers like us. However, it does make it harder to keep American currency here at home. (Which we desperately need more American factories = American JOBS!) To sum it all up, Vevor is now a vendor at Home Depot! That says a lot! Just keep in mind that the money we continue to put in their pockets the more our neighbors, family, friends and/or ourselves lose. Which does not work well for the long term. We need to buy American when possible. I know that neither Vevor nor Harbor Freight are American. Also they do have amazing value when you need a specialty tool. But we are making ourselves poorer and poorer with ever dollar sent overseas.
I’ve bought 3 or 4 products from them. Delivery was quick and the products didn’t seem to be any more inferior than Amazon or Harbor Freight. I was pleased with them and the service. A Winch, garden raised beds, greenhouse, wood splitter etc.
yup IMO Vevor has great values. This video is total crap.....They have an F rating with BBB because they dont pay them to be in the club. BBB is a total scam rating organization.
I ordered an anvil 4 weeks ago. The package showed up in less than 2 weeks. They sent me a scissor lift instead, which I have no use for. I am still waiting for an anvil or refund. I won't be ordering from them again.
Over the past couple years, I’ve got several items from Vevor and they are all still functioning and we’re an excellent value. First product was a vac sealer and the second product was a large volume ultrasonic cleaner. third product with a Cable chain lift. I’m pleased with my purchases and will buy again.
I bought their 14” electric power concrete saw. It is a rather unique product at an unbeatable price. It ain’t Hilti quality but it neither was the price. So far, it has been working well enough to be a better option than renting from the big box store.
I found them while researching a concrete saw to put in a basement bathroom. The one store (Home Hardware) wanted $50 to rent their concrete saw, but it was broken and the rental place wanted $250/day. I bought the 9" electric concrete saw for $230 all taxes and shipping in and it did the job just fine. Has its own water pump for the dust and that worked great. You just set the pump in a pail of water and plug it in.
Love this vid. Thank you for the hard work! I figured with everything they were sending to content creators, they were pushing really hard. I recently made a purchase from them. The 3" machinist vice on my Smithy mill broke while setting up to drill a new bolt pattern in my rear axles. The options for a 3" vice were pretty limited, I would have spent $100 at HF for basically the same POS one I had, and anything bigger/better, would have been from a decent name, and cost over $250 and taken at least a week to get. Lift Arc has done a few vids on stuff from them, stating that it is "surprisingly decent garbage". I bought a 5" vice "largest my mill can mount" for $87.00 shipped. It was miles above the quality of what came with my Smithy. Everything trammed true and flat. I did some minor deburring to keep from cutting myself, cleaned the storage oil off, lubed it, and am super happy with it. I may buy the matching 3" for my smaller work as quill height becomes an issue with the 5" vice. I wish I could justify spending $800+ on a nice Kurt, but at the end of the day, my mill just doesn't have the tolerances to justify it and would rather use that money for a better mill. ** Edit** I ordered the vice on Thursday night, and had it at my house on that Saturday. I am sure shipping was almost all the cost I paid for the item.
I purchased clamp on pallet forks for my loader bucket from Vevor. They were very well built - solid welds, thick steel, smooth threading, and have had absolutely no issues. Also purchased pond liners for raised planter beds. Again, very thick material with no issues so far! I plan to build additional beds and with my experiences have no reason not to purchase more. I appreciate the video and the work you did to track down all the background information - forewarned is forearmed!
I bought a TV lift mechanism, it developed a minor ticking noise on the down stroke. I contacted customer support and supplied them with a video at their request. A week later a whole new unit arrived. The original is just fine and still in place but now I have a spare. Excellent customer service.
I shop a lot of auctions in AZ and it's amazing how much of their stuff ends up there. Broken and missing parts, etc. Thanks for digging deeper on these guys as I was wondering who they were.
Thank you for digging a little deeper than I did. You were right their story is hard to track down so I gave up. But yet still went ahead and bought quite a few items including an electric griddle, pizza oven, wire stripper and have a battery backpack sprayer on the way. I am very happy with all of it. I will continue to buy their products.
This has been an eye opener since the “F” ratings. I will share this: I’ve purchased a few products from Vevor. Everything I have gotten has gotten the job done and met the commercial requirements that I needed. From Vevor heat presses to Thermal Printers to Stand Mixers and other Commercial Kitchen items I am required to have. Of course, as my business started to grow, I may have gotten “fancier” and more substantial equipment yet starting up, the items I got performed well and got me to a place I needed, especially as a startup with so many requirements. I still use many of the items purchased to this day. I wanted to be transparent. Someone may need several commercial kitchen products and just don’t have the resources at the time. They may need to get the items just to start and progress to the higher quality items. Again, your discoveries have been about data information breach which is horrific and BBB - that has me disheartened.
I have gotten several products from them. Everything i reviewed was cheaper and or better than harbor freight. Their welders are half or less of the price of HF......So Ratings may not mean anything. They are all made in China, even harbor freight. I have been using the VEVOR welder for almost a year now and had no issues. Welds better than the titanium 140 and is only $259 also has tig and Stick and 220 capability. So the reward outweighs the risk. Just need to do your research on every product before you buy. I Research before I review and 1 make sure it is a better value than HF. 2. make sure it is cheap enough that you cant loose.
Got a paintless dent removal kit from, as well as a stainless steel kitchen prep table and 12V automotive car jack/ impact wrench/ compressor kit, and it's been positive so far. Next may be interlocking garage floor tiles-
Bought a VEVOR 60lb demo hammer "Jack Hammer" that has been run hard. I burned up the brushes in the motor after about 30hrs, they had me new set in 2 days. The new brushes burned up in about 6 more hours of work. This started costing me time and money on the job and I said as much to VEVOR, they sent a replacement tool and paid return shipping label within a week. Can't complain there. Bought a midi-wood lathe for brother for Christmas this year from them. He loves it. I gave them a chance because my neighbor had a little mini-machinist lathe from them he was very happy with for his little projects. He has had it about 3 years I think. I think you hit it right on the head. VEVOR is like HF in the 90s'. But HF is top tier now, they employ hundreds of engineers conducting R&D and have all their QC/R&D test labs here in the U.S.A. The big name power tool companies sure can't say that these days. The also now hold many one-off patents (like their off-road jack nd ICON tools) and on many of their other tools. They maintain their good, better, best selection intentionally so they reman affordable for every budget. They really keep the cost down because they cut out the middle-men by selling their own tools directly from factory to store to customer.
I've purchased a tig welder, a lathe, welding helmet, throat less shears, and an ultrasonic cleaner direct from vevor the past year. All have been great quality. Haven't had really any issues. With the lathe there were missing parts and they compensated me. On my welder a cup was missing from the kit and they sent a whole new welder! I will still order from them and suggest them.
Ha Ha! Wish I had taken the time to research them. Thank you so much! I purchased, what was suppose to be a 20 gallon oil drain tank, low profile w/wheels and castors. There seemed to be many other retailers selling the very same thing, so I went with the cheapest one. Unfortunately, the actual tanks max capacity is closer to 15.9 gallons and that's if it were filled to the very top. I emailed them to find out what was going on and the best reply I received was that they would look into it and that was it. The product looks very nice and functional, even has a hand crank oil evacuation pump on it, don't know if it works yet. I wanted to get the 20 gallon unit so I could drain all the oils out of my tractor without a lot of fuss and pretty much do it all in one shot. But all in all, the unit looks pretty decent.
I bought a paint pressure pot from vevor a year ago. I saw all the negative reviews, but just enough positive ones that I decided to take a chance on them. I got my pressure pot fast, the box was beat to hell, but there was no damage to the item itself. I’d hesitate to buy anything really expensive or anything with electronics from them, but for tools that aren’t delicate I’d take another chance on them again in the future (assuming they stick around long enough). Thanks for looking into them.
I bought a diesel heater from them and the fuel pump lasted one run. I reached out and they were actually very quick and sent me a new fuel pump fairly quickly. I’m fairly impressed with the customer service I received
I bought a fluid extractor and filler for my car transmissions and it is pretty good. As I recall less expensive than harbor freight and seemed like a better build quality plus it does both
I've bought a bunch of raised bed kits from them. Decently thick metal, good guards on the top, and look and feel exactly the same as the ones I could get at Lowes or Home Depot for half the price. I'll see how well they last after this year, but so far I'm impressed with them.
It's probably a company run by a Chinese who uses connections in China to track down the factories that make well-known US branded products and then rebrand the same products for tighter margin. So you get the "same product" but without the quality control, without compensating the engineers or inventors, and without a customer service dept. On one hand, you're a traitor to the free world if you buy their products. On the other hand, please continue to do so and maybe then companies will start to understand the risks of outsourcing to an authoritarian state.
Thanks for sharing! I was wondering how they sprung up into all my searches. My dad always said, once a US company outsources manufacturing to china, 3rd shift makes the same thing under a different label and specs.
Red I purchased my first compressor from a dealer I trusted. When it arrived, there were NO marking indicating manufacturer or even a model number. It served me well for 14-15 months before failing. None of the internal parts had part numbers or anything that could help the shop find repair parts. Through an internet search, I discovered it was from VEVOR. All attempts to contact them were fruitless. I bought another one off eBay and it was dead out of the box. Luckily eBay follows transaction because attempts to resolve the issue were met sometimes with hostility at their base in China. When the hard fought refund came, I bought another model off of eBay and it turned out to be VEVOR also.
I've bought several items from Vevor, some quite expensive. Overall, I've been shocked at how good their products are, especially for the money. I've had a couple problems, but they made it right. With the wide variety of stuff they carry, even some real oddball niche stuff, it almost seems like they don't carry anything unless they can get and offer a deal. There used to be companies in the US that focused on distressed inventory or special manufacturing runs at a huge discount. When we still had manufacturing, it wasn't rare for a company to make a special SKU at a huge discount in order to "hit the numbers" and keep the lines running. With China having so much manufacturing these days, it wouldn't surprise me to learn this is Vevor's model.
I've purchased several things from Vevor. I would describe them as mid to mid-low quality at low prices. Great for tools you are only going to use once in awhile and don't need the top of the line versions.
Their chamber vacuum sealers seem decent especially considering the massive price difference vs name brands. I bought one recently for $280, no regrets so far. I watched a ton of UA-cam reviews before buying. Couldn't find anything bad about these units as they're even sold without the vevor branding using the same model number. Upon inspection of the inside of the vac sealer it looks like high end parts with a not so polished metal frame. I'm happy with it.
Thanks for the review I have a name brand vacuum sealer and wanted to buy a bigger one, but the name brand prices were steep. A grand or more so I have been looking at Vevor with curiosity.
Thank you for taking the time to look into this company. I just came across them and was curious who they were before doing business, which I won't be doing with them lol.
I had a GREAT experience with them. I purchased wrought iron hand and grip railings. Not only was the quality excellent, so was the protective packaging. They filled my order quickly and concisely. If I got lucky after listening to the negative comments about them, so be it.
I bought a Vevor hobby lathe holding my nose. So far I'm very happy with it and haven't had problems that some UA-camrs have had, knock on wood. But, now I want to upgrade to an independent 4 jaw chuck and some spare parts (like belts). Now waiting to see how the customer service/parts are going to work out. The cross slide tool post mounting base on top of the carriage is extruded and will need to be replaced with a solid block for more rigidity with deeper cuts.
Hey Bear Got my wife the 1000W commercial slushy machine for her birthday. I was pretty impressed with it, it was EXTREMELY well packaged and made slushy FAST! (Although it was pretty pricey)
A couple of years ago, I purchased a 31ft. aluminum telescopic 'pole' from them. I use it as an antenna mast for field communications operations and I'm happy with the product, and their price for the same product was less than some other competitors. More recently, I was looking to purchase a 'Heavy Duty 10x20ft vinyl fully-enclosed garage' from them as temporary protection for one of my cars that just got painted. It appears to be a decent product and the price was fairly inexpensive (< $300.), but I decided to look for some reviews prior to hitting the buy button and just watched your video. On the bright side, Rancho Cucamonga isn't too far from me if I need to return it, so I think I'll take the gamble. I'll let y'all know how it turns out ;)
I've purchased a few of their more expensive specialty tools. I'm a contractor so every once in a while there's something that I want to see if it may be worth buying the higher dollar version. So far the few things that I've purchased of theirs have actually held up pretty well. You try to baby them a bit because you can tell they're obviously not the highest quality but I've still been pretty impressed.
Good to see you talking about these shonks. I purchased a chainsaw guide a few years ago. It was cheap and nasty, lasted 2 days, thats all I needed it for, I knew what I was getting. I used paypal as a just in case. I've never used them since. You hit the nail on the head, they are incredibly SECRETIVE. They make out they are located in Australia, good luck finding an address. Dodgy, very dodgy.
I have their set of standard 3/4” impact sockets. Working as a heavy equipment mechanic in the mining industry, these sockets seem to hold up very well. The price point is really good for the set. If I would have bought a set from the big guys I would have easily paid over $1500. From what i have read from their pamphlet in the set, they don’t have a warranty, but I only paid $260-ish for the sockets. So 6 in one and half dozen of the other. Very comprehensive set. So far so good on how much abuse they take.
$1,500 for a 3/4" standard impact socket set? From what Snap-On? Even an American made deep socket set is $850 Oz dollars, here in Australia. You can get a Chinese housebrand from a tool shop with warranty for $280 no probs.
I have a diesel heater from them. It’s been great. I have a plasma cutter from them and I haven’t had any issues. Cuts thick metal easily. I got a tire bead breaker from them and it is pretty well made and it is extremely useful.
Have a vevor all in one diesel heater for my camper, been running it almost daily for the last 3 months, Zero issues. If I get one more winter out of it Im happy....pretty sure the warranty service gonna be a bust. Even so im still Eye-balling one of their 53 quart fridge/freezers that seems to be a really good product.... still undecided.
I liked SetPower so much I bought two. One is a true dual zone and the other I plan to use for extended camps as a freezer. It's much better than fighting with ice. I hate chasing ice.
I tried a couple Vevor products and had majority failure and zero customer support, even through Amazon. The only products I have of theirs that are not so bad are the diesel heaters, I own two. If they fail, buying a replacement or keeping a spare is not so bad. The build quality is garbage though and I would not trust one to keep me warm or safe while sleeping or away from my camper.
I bought a hydraulic pump and metal hole punch (ch70) and everything worked great for about 75 punches and then the pump refused to pressure up. I contacted vevor and they got back to me within 24 hours, were very polite, and since they weren't sure what the problem was they sent me a new pump. I'm actually impressed by the customer service. Definitely willing to buy more stuff from them.
@@jessihawkins9116you didn’t notice the burning money aroma coming from that plastic product with the big rectangular VEVOR stickers plastered on its sides?
I've ordered at least 10 different things from them and never had an issue until lately. I ordered a rolling rack used to hang parts on for painting. The box was destroyed in shipping and it was missing a few parts and a bunch of hardware. I messaged them through their website and they got back with me immediately. They were helpful and offered to ship the missing parts. I ended up making the missing parts out of metal stock and just bought new hardware. They were understanding and ended up sending me a large amount of money back to cover the cost of replacing the missing parts and then some. Their stuff is cheap but so it Harbor Freight and some of that kind of stuff has a place and function in my shop so I recommend them just as much as I would HF for a cheap tool that you'll use a few times and then let it sit to collect dust.
I ordered a Vevor drill bit dispenser for my mechanic for Christmas last fall. I did order through Amazon. Box came with some holes torn in it but the drill bit case inside was undamaged and came within a couple days. It was exactly what was pictured and described also.
I gambled and bought a half dozen ADA compliant step rails from them last year. Great design, plumb and straight tubing with a decent sidewall gauge. My only gripe is the sloppy welds at the bases but it didnt affect structural integrity, could have used a little finish grinding. The welds were complete with no gaps, just looked like they came out of a caulk gun. At about 70 bucks each, it was a no brainer and I'm glad i took the chance. Powder coating was pretty decent too.
I've used a couple of their products and even made a video about the one I liked, a multi welder that is inexpensive. It has worked well for me and also held up for several months now. But the company does have an odd vibe when making contact and the jury is still out for sure. I'd say only try their tools if saving money is more important than anything else, risk and warranty included.
I'm going on one year with my Vevor 12 volt refrigerator. I bought from home Depot and I really got to admit it has worked really really good and I live on solar power.
For the people that have bought items that stayed together after purchase thumbs up. You probably didn't have to go to customer service. Customer service is manned by the warehouse workers that ship their items. Vevor is a broker house for the chinese manufacturers. There warranties are non existent. If you want to ship a defective item back to them they don't want it. You will also have to pay the shipping. There web site says no hassle return. Wrong. If you do enough arguing with them they will give you a partial refund. I got 30%. Like I said if you got an item that stays together thumbs up.
I've been happy with the pottery wheel from Vevor. Mine is the 14" head with a 450-watt motor. You have to be careful when shopping because most of the pottery wheels they offer are much smaller than the standard 14" head and only have 350-watt motors. The 450-watt motor is still a small motor, so you wouldn't want a smaller motor.
You may also have to be careful about the safety of things like this - it's not uncommon at all for grounds to not be connected or other safety features not implemented - if you're good with checking those sorts of things - great - you can get something that works at a very good price.
I always seem to find these videos after I buy products from these sorts of companies. My experience so far with Vevor has been positive. I've bought a hydraulic crimp-er for making car battery leads and it works well. Also I bought a hydraulic hole punch for cutting holes in sheet metal also works well. And I recently bought a 12v car jack and wheel nut remover that is a real time saver so far. Overall I'm happy with them. Hopefully like you say they are just a company trying to outrun their bad luck.
This was very helpful! Vevor sells a 14" bandsaw that looks like a clone of the Rikon 10-326, and it's suspiciously inexpensive. Comparable saws go for twice the price or more. If it was a legit rebranding, or they're just coming out of the same factory molds, I would have been willing to risk it. But if they just stole the basic design, then there's no reason to expect Rikon-level quality in the first place. An $800 discount might still be worth the risk for some, but I know I'd end up regretting it.
Thank you for this! They sent me some products that broke within days and then told me to go fix it myself. Garbage company that are duping so many people (my niche is beer brewing which they sell equipment for).
I don't know anything about Vevor tools, but Vevor used to make (or re-sell) quality pressure cookers, which went out of business (as you said) sometime in the 20-teens. They sent me some kitchen equipment In 2020 to review. The equipment was really good, in fact, the Zavor Crunch air fryer is still my favorite of the probably 15-20 air fryers I've tested - so I am really disappointed to learn that they are such an unsavory company. Thank you for your in-depth research on this company - that's what makes you a top-tier product reviewer!
I understand your concern... my wife bought a magnetic vibrating platform from them and i picked up a over the top creeper... through Amazon. Im sure both products were made by a supplier and both are good so far. I have disabilities in my shoulders, knees and back and the creeper helps me perform maint and repairs on the 3/4 ton truck. Climbing up the bumper and trying to hang on while working on it is too hard without it. It arrived quickly with all parts... i assembled it... and glad we have both items priced much higher elsewhere... and my research produced no issued. I WILL research again b4 another purchase...as i usually do anyhow with outfits i have little familiarity with. Thanks for what you do! Good info and entertaining.
"They get an F Rating from the Den of Tools." LOL. That's probably the end of them sending you tools to review. In all seriousness, Thank You for warning us so we don't have any disappointing Tool Purchase experiences.
I have bought several Vevor products and very happy with every purchase. I have a dog wash, comercial deep fryer & SS doors for my outdoor kitchen, pnumatic jack & 5ton jack stands.. Every product good quality and working without any issues. I recommend Vevor products.
I've spent a bit over $1200 at Vevor so far and been happy with every purchase in terms of value for money. Nothing has been amazing quality, and they do not sell replacement parts (big issue sometimes, I imagine) but so far I'm content with my decision. Speed of shipping is also impressive, not a minor consideration when I'm experimenting my way through this whole manufacturing process and often pivoting as I learn. I called them before I ever ordered anything and confirmed I was on my own for replacement parts of anything that wore out, that very much factored in my decision to NOT buy anything that would cause a single-point failure in my business. I'm in the startup phase of a business, if I can reduce capital expenditure until money starts coming in I'm going to do it. Vevor, so far, has more than met that goal.
I bought a plumbing equipment to unblock the main pipe in the house. I did a lot of researches and the price of a decent brand was too expensive. I ordered one machine from Vevor and was very sceptical about the delivery and the quality. The delivery was fast and the package was very basic, and the machine was solid and in good condition. It worked quite well. The price of the machine was impressive. It only needed to work once and it paid itself off. I lived in the country and very hard to find a plumber for a blocked toilet.
I absolutely love vevor! With membership you work your way to better prices and more hands on customer service. I have had no negative experiences after literally dozens of transactions. Viva vedor !
Bought an item from them several months ago, it was okay, nothing great. They followed up with detailed instructions on how to leave a five star review on Google and if you sent them a screenshot they'd send you a gift card. I left them a review alright... Called them out on it and sent a complaint to Google about them basically paying for five star reviews. Doubt it changed anything beyond my decision to never deal with them again.
I was searching for a vacuum chamber sealer and ran across the VEVOR. I probably watched over 2 dozen reviews on UA-cam and all had nothing but great things to say about it, several were follow-up reviews after a years worth of solid use and there were no complaints. I bought one and have absolutely zero complaints with it. Here's the kicker, Amazon sells the unit for $399 plus shipping unless you have a Prime account. I bought mine directly from Vevor for $301 with free shipping and received it in 3 days via FEDEX. Seems Amazon might be taking your order and tacking on an extra $98 and charging you for shipping to boot.
Ive ordered 3 items over the last year from VEVOR and the service was slow but I received what I ordered. However the order i just placed was shipped by a company I never heard of, ON TRAC .and after reading bad reviews im worried about ever receiving my order. VEVOR knows about ON TRAC bad rebrand still used them . I'm done with VEVOR .
I have the vevor bench top joiner and love it! It's not a top of the line tool but extremely budget friendly and works amazingly. I just got the thickness planer from them also but haven't used it yet. Absolutely love the benchtop drill press too!
@@WolfetonePickups by the time they wear out I will have made enough money off of them I won't care lol. They are a budget company for DIYers not an Industrial grade tool company so it is what it is.
Just bought a Vevor electric hydraulic pump. I hope this all works out! I am Really impressed with the build quality. I was considering a name brand pump assembly, except the price was quadrupled!
Bought countless things on VEVOR: PTO shafts, 3-in-1 Welder, Pallet Forks, Quick Attach Blank Plates, 3 Point Hitches, etc and all seem to be of equal quality to others on the market and at a fraction of the price. And without Sales Taxes. Perfection.
I was hesitant but bought a Vevor Hammer Chisel for a small project. It is the sort of tool I don't expect to use much but was actually quite impressed by the quality and function of the tool.
I have been buying from vevor for three years and everything I have bought was good quality and fast delivery, I bought a stainless steel syrup cooking pan for half of what I could find anywhere else and have cooked over 600 pints of sugar cane syrup with it, I love the company.
we cant get the mag drill here on the uk vevor site, the 10 speed one they have has been reviewed by alot of trusted people and its an improvement over the first one,
I have only bought one thing from Vevor. I am not a plumber but do some plumbing work. A real Rehau kit for press fitting pipes is hundreds of dollars. I bought a rip off Vevor for I think it was $125. I wouldn't say it would stand up to everyday use of a plumber. But I have used it for several jobs, and it works just fine. Heavy solid parts. And it has already paid for itself. The delivery was super quick too. So my experience so far has been OK.
I bought a chamber vacuum sealer from Vevor only because I really wanted one but could not justify the $1000 price tag with my income. So I bought their $350 unit. Does it work? Yes. I've been using it a lot over the past 4 months. It is very industrial, looks like it was built as a prototype with parts they had laying around. It's very heavy yet the stainless steel sheet metal skin (which was assembled using pop rivets) is quite thin. The heavy components are a rotary vane vacuum pump (you can buy anywhere) and big step-down transformer that provides lots of amps for the sealing bar. I was surprised to see that the unit arrived undamaged considering the weight and horrible condition of the cardboard box it arrived in. It came from China but only took about a month to arrive. So far, so good.
I got a 100' power drain snake. It was reasonably priced and has worked well so far. I broke the power feed running it backwards but that was on me. I went with it because I needed the 100' which HF didn't have and also because I didn't want to pay for high quality on a thing I hope to only use a few times. I would say that at least they do ship the stuff you buy.
I've purchased a dual nozzle 3 speed portable fume extractor from Vevor for welding and it is absolutely great. I was skeptical about the company but since their warehouse is located in my area I figured I would have no problems returning it for a refund. Had it for 18 months and wish I bought it sooner from Vevor. Also bought the Vevor ultrasonic cleaner, 10 ton porta power and 132 lb anvil, all these items included shipping and are well constructed.
I bought a set of Vevor machinery skates to move a 4000 pound engine lathe. They were incredibly cheap. I really needed to move the machine so I took a gamble and ordered them. They actually worked very well! They are well made and very heavy duty! It was a pleasant surprise.
I purchased a DZ-260C chamber vacuum food sealer from them. It is a very well functioning and equally well built machine. When it arrived, regardless of the excellent packaging that housed the machine, the facia plate that houses the control panel had a piece break off. I contacted their customer service email, and received their reply in very short order. For some reason, they were unable to furnish me with a replacement part, however they offered me a very generous compensation for this defect. I accepted and later, sucessfully repaired the broken part with adhesive. To sum up, I have bought from them twice, and both times I have been completely satisfied with what I received. I fully intend to buy from them again in the future.
Great video, thanks. I too was wondering "who the heck is Vevor and how did they just show up out of nowhere". I still don't understand how they built such a massive presence overnight. But... I didn't ask this question until I realized I had already bought a Pex expander tool, A thermal label printer, and a knockoff saniflo macerator sump with pump from Vevor. My experience..? The pex expander did not work but in all fairness, I dropped it on the expander about 5 minutes into the job; the few expansions I did before the drop did work without leaks. The label printer (two of them actually), works great, no issues. The macerator sump pump... I acutally bought this through Lowes and paid $25 for a 3-year extended Lowes warranty; I just got it and have only run water through it but what I can say is that is has lots of pressure and isn't very loud but the sizing is metric on the pipes which was a pain the the butt to install. For example they used "40mm and called that 1-1/2" but it definately did not fit; they proved "universal stepped couplers" that you cut to size which fit great on 1" pipe but none of their parts fit 1-1/2". If it holds up I will call this a home run as the saniflo unit is $1000, I paid $150 after tax including the Lowes 3 year warranty. For me, I treat Vevor as a "know your expectations", similar to Harbor Freight. I did contact them and they were quick to reply but, I also didn't have any issues so I cannot rate their support. I am still blown away how they just showed up seemingly out of nohwere and offer just about every product known to mankind under their own branding.
I haven't bought a 'lot' of VEVOR stuff, but have bought a few things. I bought through amazon, because oddly enough many of their items are cheaper on amazon than on their own website. I have a 3/4hp water pump from them. I only purchased this because the price was unbeatable, and the name brand manufacturers were sticking china motors in their equipment of this type anyway. So far I'm impressed with the pump. A friend purchased a commercial style tabletop mixer, think like an bakery version of the kitchen aid mixer, I've seen it in person and the quality is impressive, I would be surprised if that mixer didnt come off the same line making hobart mixers. I'd be in the boat where I'd give it a try if the price is right, and you can at least have amazon support your purchase so if you get a junk item at least they will be required to accept a return.
Thanks for sharing. I purchased the Vevor DZ-260C chamber vacuum sealer recently. It came 3 days after place ordered. I expect the company not build or manufacture their products. They bought other company products and put their label on so the warranty, return, and refund would be more difficult. The sealer work very well and cost about 1/3.
i've bought a set of pallet forks a weld on thump for my mini excavator and a replacement cutting edge for my tractor bucket and with no problems and quick delivery actually very good service
Vevor is a Chinese company operating in Shanghai, China. At least the main company is. Vevor as a brand is their Western store front and is 'properly' operating as you would expect most American companies to operate. Standards included. The big thing to take away is that it's still a part of a Chinese corporation and IS a Chinese business through and through. What I mean by that is their products are not their products. They're simple mass manufactured, unbranded products that they can just go and put an order in to have their name on it. That's why most things they sell seem pretty well priced but outrageously diverse. If you look around carefully you'll find a whole lot of other small name Chinese brands that sell the EXACT same things. Stuff like tools kits in different configurations but contain the same things.
All depends on what you're buying from them. We bought a commercial chiller for our 100w laser, works like a dream and it was hundreds less than anywhere else. Bought a hat press for leather patches for hats...yeah, it was a waste of $150. Well made, but only heats from one side, so doesn't work all that well and the clamshell isn't very well designed. Like most Chinese sellers, you have to know what you are buying, what to look for, and be willing to take the risk that it isn't going to fit the bill.
I do commercial refrigeration, mostly with ice machines, and have worked on a Vevor years ago. Maybe 5 or 6 years? Anyway, couldn't get a pump that had gone bad. Was able to substitute another manufacturer's pump to get it to work. I didn't see anything about the machine that made me think it was poor quality. The problem was getting the part. I think if you're looking for a cheap and disposable piece, they may make sense. Their prices are about 30%-50% of what a new ice machine would cost. As always, Caveat Emptor.
I took a chance on some Vevor landscaping fabric because it was so cheap. Thought it was a scam. They proved me wrong, super high quality stuff and by far the cheapest I could find. Highly recommend!
I have recently bought a set of rivnut tools, an automotive spring compressor and 2 torque wrenches from Vevor. The quality is amazing for low priced tools and I will definitely buy more from them.
I purchased a commercial chamber vacuum sealer from them as well as a meat slicer and both are high end equipment. They were packaged very well and so heavy I needed assistance to bring them in the house. This company cannot be compared to Harbor Freight
Been using vevor impact sockets for years, haven't broke a single one, last year got a fireplace , my girl likes it, I think its loud (the rollers of the flames). We've had their dual pizza oven for a while- works GREAT. Bunch of pipe/steampunk shelves/lights throughout the house. Got a pipe notcher and bandsaw that are badass. Got a rollcage bender I used fir one cage that worked well/ still have it. Got some random shop equiptment I like fine. Waiting for another order while I type lol. I really like them. Edit- forgot- a coworker has their powered multi gauge wire stripper, he strips all our scrap at mack/Volvo and the videos he's sent me looks like it's a BEAST; he loves it. Must be one of those copies they got sued for lol. Also have had their larger die and tap set for a couple years, I've broken 2 m10 taps and emailed pics, I received new taps both times (maybe took a week or so but just as easy as capri) email pictuee and they ship a new one
Have bought several tools from Vevor and can't complain about the quality or the price. Corporate structures are sometimes very complex. I have had a great experience even when a winch was missing the mounting hardware. They overnighted the missing parts. Was very impressed.
Wow that's crazy they couldn't even send me my missing parts for the welder
Me too I have reviews on several products and they are a better value than HF....the 90 day warranty at HF is total crap anyway. almost everything will last 90 days. This video is a joke to me. Their welders are hands down off the hook better than HF even the vulcan or Titanium. I gave away my Titanium to keep my VEVOR.....let me put it that way.
Have to agree, my 3 N 1 welder is awesome! Hands down better than harbor freight. My second vevor purchase is on the way now
@@Mikefngarage The video is not a joke.
Has anyone ever brought a phlebotomy simulation kit from these guys? Thinking of purchasing one before my actual clinicals
I really appreciate you for doing this video. There are few things more noble on UA-cam than a pure act of consumer advocacy. Thank you Jeff.
I have gotten several items from VEVOR.....Everything is better and cheaper. I am not sure why he made this video.
@@mikethepainter Why wouldn’t he?
if your into PC'S then checkout Gamers Nexus they literally go to war with computer companies and keep them in check.
(Which we desperately need more American factories = American JOBS!)
To sum it all up, Vevor is now a vendor at Home Depot!

Thanks China, I don't need any of your 'novel' exports 😷
I’m pleased with my purchases and will buy again.
better and cheaper IMO lots of stuff.
Me too everything is better and cheaper than HF I have gotten. especially their welder.
I bought their 14” electric power concrete saw. It is a rather unique product at an unbeatable price. It ain’t Hilti quality but it neither was the price. So far, it has been working well enough to be a better option than renting from the big box store.
i just order battery grinder in EU for 70€,so you say its good tool? You work every day with that tool?Thanx
And forearmed is Popsgye... uk, uk, uk... now where's me spinichk???😎
I bought a TV lift mechanism, it developed a minor ticking noise on the down stroke. I contacted customer support and supplied them with a video at their request. A week later a whole new unit arrived. The original is just fine and still in place but now I have a spare. Excellent customer service.
Thanks for doing the leg work on this!
Again, your discoveries have been about data information breach which is horrific and BBB - that has me disheartened.
i have gotten a few items from them and its all worked good
@@thebad300 the items I have purchased have all served me extremely well and continue to do so
I have gotten several products from them.
Good detective work, well done!
Who thought a bear would be so business savvy?
Well, he is cautious. Haven' t you heard of the "bear" market!?
He’s smarter than the average bear
Always liked seeing the taking bear-
I bought a fluid extractor and filler for my car transmissions and it is pretty good.
I don'tt see thrm on their site. Do they still sell them?
Thanks for sharing! I was wondering how they sprung up into all my searches. My dad always said, once a US company outsources manufacturing to china, 3rd shift makes the same thing under a different label and specs.
What is this third shift you speak of?

I purchased my first compressor from a dealer I trusted.
Luckily eBay follows transaction because attempts to resolve
the issue were met sometimes with hostility at their base in China.
I've had the same experience, customer support was great!
I've purchased several things from Vevor. I would describe them as mid to mid-low quality at low prices. Great for tools you are only going to use once in awhile and don't need the top of the line versions.
Their tractor related stuff is well made and competitive with other manufactures.
Vevor has replaced Acme as the Road Runner’s favorite equipment supplier😎
Yet he still goes hungry.......
Wile E. Coyote was the one who ordered from Acme.
fraud company
@micknolen You don’t know him like that…. That is Mr Wileward Ethelbert Coyote to you sir….😜🤣🤣
Better hope that none of the parts wear out, because they won't sell you replacement parts.
Hey Bear Got my wife the 1000W commercial slushy machine for her birthday. I was pretty impressed with it, it was EXTREMELY well packaged and made slushy FAST! (Although it was pretty pricey)
WOW. I just watched a Private Detective show! Incredible work,Red!
I performed a search on them as well and had difficulty finding anything. Thank you for this information!
Made In China 2025. outsmart America long time ago. sad but true
I picked up a Vevor 100ft retractable garden hose last month. So far, so good!! Nice build quality and the $68 eBay price was a steal!!
I have been looking at there machine tools ,I thought the company was from India!
So you are OK with them stealing from other companies?
@@Hoggdoc1946 You probably deal with the biggest criminals of all (as do most of us), the Banks.
Vevor Las Vegas......because this smells like a gamble
I’ve bought vevor products before but I’ve never really noticed a particular smell to them 🤔
@@jessihawkins9116you didn’t notice the burning money aroma coming from that plastic product with the big rectangular VEVOR stickers plastered on its sides?

Underrated comment. Would read again.
They sell through home depot now? I haven't seen that yet wandering through the store.
Right! The comments about them being a good company are from people who've had their products for a few months and rarely use them.
Harbor Freight at least has a local store I can go to and yell at someone if I get a crap product
I got an email from them just now asking if I would review some of their products, lol.
@@denoftools have you seen or tried their infared camera?
I have bought several Vevor products and very happy with every purchase. I have a dog wash, comercial deep fryer & SS doors for my outdoor kitchen, pnumatic jack & 5ton jack stands.. Every product good quality and working without any issues. I recommend Vevor products.
I always assume that if you have to dig for information on the location of an online company, they are Chinese.
Did you get the gift card?

Lol, no.
Better hope that none of the parts wear out, because they won't sell you replacement parts.
The endless copyright infringement and intellectual property lawsuits are one good reason to not support these leaches….
Perfection.
VEVOR is no different than Wen or Harbor Freight when they started out.
Really any company. Hart tools too
I was hesitant but bought a Vevor Hammer Chisel for a small project. It is the sort of tool I don't expect to use much but was actually quite impressed by the quality and function of the tool.
You give me Vevor. When you touch me, Vevor when you hold me tight. Vevor in the morning, Vevor all through the night!

I have been buying from vevor for three years and everything I have bought was good quality and fast delivery, I bought a stainless steel syrup cooking pan for half of what I could find anywhere else and have cooked over 600 pints of sugar cane syrup with it, I love the company.
I have 5 motorcycles and bought three lift stands from Vevor. No issues with shipping or quality.
Was really close to pulling the trigger on a mag drill. Thanks for the great work!
we cant get the mag drill here on the uk vevor site, the 10 speed one they have has been reviewed by alot of trusted people and its an improvement over the first one,
I have only bought one thing from Vevor.
I did the same thing. You can't buy other brand with an automatic sealer for $350.
Thank you so much for checking into VEVO. Granted, this may all be public record, but knowing where to look is 90% of the search. ❤
