He isn’t bribing families but rather trying to give some insight as to how his policy might work. The families he chose some were not necessarily poor but it goes out to show how much UBI would help just about 95% of Americans

      I watched a lot of his interviews. He obviously practices his key points to make it clear and easy to understand, but from time to time, he drifts off and mentions something from his experience that align with what he saying. When someone does that, you know he's not hiding an agenda, just speaking from an honest analytical prospective of the economic crisis in America.

      Credit to Andrew for the vision to go beyond all those limitations to articulate a vision that is much more small government and broadly inclusive.

      Human Centered Capitalism is an oxymoron. Capitalism is synonymous with profits for the CEO and investors. Not the workers... which is why over the last 40 years profits and CEO pay went up dramatically but not the pay for the workers. VAT taxes are regressive (that means that the poorest are hurt by it.

    • @nj8240
      @nj8240 5 років тому

      @@leelull4278 If I hand you $1,000 and you don't spend it, but pay off your debts, your VAT is $0. If you spend all $1,000 on things affected by a VAT, which is not things like food, medical care, day care, education, etc., then your VAT will be $100. Explain to me how paying a $100 VAT and spending $900 would be bad for someone who is working part time, or staying at home to care for their kids or their parents, or who is in school working minimum wage, or who is just trying to save so they can get out of an abusive relationship or move to a better location. VAT is regressive only on the top 6% of US citizens, according to math.

    I like this format better than 1 on 1 interviews and stump speeches. It shows how fast and maneuverable Yang's mind is. He has his talking points but if someone throws down an unexpected question he will answer it directly instead of falling back to a rehearsed general answer. Having a board of people coming at him with questions just accelerates this process.

    Agree or disagree with his policies, there is no one in the race who is as good in a long form discussion. That shows thought put behind what he thinks. I'll take agreeing with some and disagreeing with others, but believing that you came to your ideas through honest effort than just about any combination of politics that were handed in by focus testing or party platforms.

    •  5 років тому +5

      That is the way I see it too. I disagree on many of his policies but the way he carries himself and the fact that he can defend his policies make me like him. Hope Trump brings him and Tulsi into his cabinet in 2020, or sooner.

    Regardless of party lines, I will always pick a candidate who has researched, analyzed, and is passionate about his ideas and solutions to such a level that he can explain his motivation and reasoning for hours. It doesn’t matter if I agree with him on every point, because there will always be different views on every topic.
    But what is crucial, is that he understands the key problems, has the American people’s well-being at heart and is laser-focused on resolving problems to benefit people!

    I've seen so much Yang interviews now that I cannot even emphasize anymore in language how much the U.S. of A. NEEDS Yang. He is the first and only politician I've ever seen in my life that doesn't care about what he wears, his demeanor, or what he says. What I mean is, he is actually like me and you and you can see that and feel it. I could drink a beer with this guy and I don't even drink. He is so relaxed and focused and is the only person I've ever seen to actually show compassion and some heart. I've never been able to trust any other politian in my life because you can never tell if they are just trying to "win." Yang doesn't give me that sense at all. I think he is a once in a lifetime candidate and could be the best president of all time or in a very long time at least. Humanity First. Yang 2020. Good luck and Godspeed

    This is the best presidential candidate in my adult lifetime. He's the only candidate that doesn't demonize his opponents and frame everything as us vs. them. Our country needs this spirit more than ever. Even if you don't agree with all of Yang's policies, at least you can trust that he will consider the facts of the issue and is willing to listen to other ideas. He's not ideological and he's not bought/funded by any special interest group so he doesn't owe anyone anything. But the most important thing about Yang is that his moral compass only cares about humanity. He's not pushing a socialist or capitalist agenda. In the age of technology, standing up for humanity is as important as ever in the history of our species.

    Yang’s ideas are revolutionary. If he became president, he would really change things up. He’s not talking the same talking points as other people because he is completely authentic and speaking from his heart and mind as himself. If he gets into the White House, how effective will he be in creating the change he wants? I think he has great ideas and the right mindset. But I’m not sure if society is ready for real change or more of same old same old. I think his ideas are too progressive for most people to accept since we live in a country where people are mostly afraid of change in any form. They desire it and hope for it but can’t deal with it and turn away from it ultimately. That’s why problems don’t get solved, and most people rather blame the government for their issues.

      in the short term, when he wins once UBI goes into affect people will change a lot of their attitude toward govt. In the longer term Democracy Dollars will give power back to the voters. If people wait to be ready for real change it will be too late and the kind of change we have to deal with will have to be much more drastic and destructive to our way of life. I hope more people start looking towards the long term and decide if they actually would rather avoid a painful large scale peoples revolution in 10 years with no guarantee of a positive outcome. We need these major changes now if capitalism and democracy is going to survive otherwise who knows what we will get. #MATH #Yang2020
