Agree or Disagree with the solution. One thing is Fact... this Man has a thought out, well researched, considerate answer for ANYTHING and Everything you ask Him. He’s the only candidate I can say that about, especially after his last talk in NH where he fielded questions about technology, future-proofing, meta-data, etc. Nobody else in this race has the breadth of knowledge in so many different topics - past, present, FUTURE - without ever deflecting, appealing solely to emotions, or flat out making stuff up. It’s frankly remarkable and commendable, especially in todays attack-focused theatrical discourse where debate moderators cannot even prepare half-decent questions to be able to stay solid in any circumstance. Even when he’s been ambushed or outright disrespected, he sticks to The Facts and keeps it focused on efficient solutions - no mudslinging.

Not only is he well researched, he is well allied. While other candidates demonize billionaires, AY says "hey, I know billionaires who agree there's a better way." While other candidates vilify tech, AY says "hey i know a guy who works on the cutting edge of big tech who's concerned, and he's ready to join my team and help regulate the industry." When other candidates say there are all about the working class American, it comes off as false and pandering, but AY is like "My friend Fred the Trucker"... and this dude Fred is driving around an 18 wheeler with AY plastered on every side. The point is unlike any other candidate in either party for the past decade, AY is bringing everyone to the table; he has an inclusive and positive vision for all; understands where everyone is coming from and gives them hope to do better rather than scapegoat certain segments of society.

    • @kevinp8108
      @kevinp8108 5 років тому +50

Debate hosts are concerned with ratings than substance. Debates hosted by MSNBC and CNN are no different from the JERRY SPRINGER SHOW! Ratings go up when candidates attack each other and there are lots of mud-slinging. Yang mentioned in an interview on the H3 Podcast on UA-cam that the network hosting the debate is warned ahead of time by the campaign about who they will be attacking on stage. This is one of the reasons why Yang is ignored on the debate stage. The network focuses on the better-known candidates because they think it's what the majority of the viewers want to see not a lesser-known candidate.

Donald Trump cost large money to low effectiveness tackle homelessness. If Donald Trump continue to be president, American people face high house rental and high house prices. @@MrManifolder Bernie: "No one who works full time should be in poverty"
Yang: "No one should be in poverty"
Bernie has solutions that maybe would have been better implemented 30-40 years ago. He's stuck in the mindset of everything that's been wrong with the government through his entire life, which is not to say his ideas to fix these problems don't have merit, BUT
Yang is not only putting forward solutions to fix those same old problems, but also the new problems that are coming (millions of Americans being displaced from work due to automation), as well as seeing an imbalance in the economy that no one else is addressing: the likes of Google and Amazon not really paying taxes, but having most of the wealth.
Yang isn't targeting the 1% per se, he's not villianizing the rich the way Bernie and Warren are, he's not punishing people for being successful; he IS proposing to implement solutions that even the field while giving a little something back to everyone- 1% included.
UBI helps alleviate so many problems its actually a bit mind boggling how its not been put into practice sooner. And it helps tens of dozens of issues while removing tons of red tape because it isn't means tested. That to me is the biggest thing. Its simple and effective on so many fronts.
Whereas back on Bernie's side the FJG or minimum wage increase puts more red tape, and does nothing to improve the lives of the disabled, elderly, self employed, stay at home parents/ caregivers, or students who would better spend their time on schoolwork. In addition, FJG and $15 minimum wage would only cause small businesses to have to fire employees or give them less hours at the very least, as well as speed up automation in various fields such as clerical & accounting, fast food & retail, and call center jobs.

You must not have seen a Bernie Sanders interview

Bernie didn't get through as many policies in the 1 hour time because he kept being pedantic. Yang did get across more detail within the 1 hour.

@@Elrog3 if you by Bernie being too pedantic that he is explaining his policies in a way that the average American can understand as opposed to talking super fast like a car salesman then you have a point.

I'm SHOCKED that many Americans are still interested in the other candidates. We need to figure out how to get them to see the light. Andrew Yang is AMAZING.

Andrew Yang is the type of politician countries need. He speaks facts and what he says make sense, unlike most politicians who goes round in circles talking rubbish. The more I hear him speak, the more I'm keen to have him win, and I'm not even American.

I used to work for a CNA agency. What Yang said is right. These jobs are not sustainable and only benefit the agency owners. My former job charged $15 an hour for services. The CNAs only got paid $7 an hour. The rest went back to the owner and every sales agent who signed up a client got kickbacks for every hour of service. It's frankly morally sickening.

The reason he won’t eliminate private health insurance right away isn’t he knows it’s still your normal American working there and he would never pull the rug under them. Wow. Love Andrew!!!

I've been telling berners that all the time, but they claim it's not true M4A. I tell them how would they feel if they worked in that sector and he eliminated their jobs in one swoop. All I hear are crickets

I keep saying this. The transition is essential. What is with this immature "change everything now" strategies.
Andrew Yang has detailed strategy for numerous issues.

    • @shaplintaro

You are all wrong. Bernie’s plan convert to M4all in incremental steps. First year 55 and older, 2nd ye 45 and older and third yr 35 and older then everybody else. It will not eliminate private insurance overnight. If you actually hear his plan you won’t make this ignorant comments. And also my husband works for Aetna but I will vote for their elimination in a heartbeat because they treat their employees like shit. Last year after getting huge tax cuts from Trump and his thug party instead of giving it forward to their employees they cut back their salary. Do they ever cut back on insurance premiums or deductible or copays? That’s what’s wrong with for profit health insurance and that is why only Bernie is getting my vote.

A single person with a clarity of conscience and a willingness to speak up can make a difference. Contributing to the greater good is a deep and fundamental human need. When a leader, even a mid-level or lower level leader, skillfully brings a voice and a vision, others will follow and surprising things can happen-even culture change on a large scale. Andrew Yang is that person.
