I'll definitely try that! Gotta tell ya, my last camping video I made, brought my little Lodge skillet and cooked a New York Strip over a wood stove. Man alive, that was the best steak I've ate! Thanks for all the tips!!!
I love your videos keep up with the good work. Here in Monticello, Minnesota we have 6+ in's of snow ❄️ with -15 degrees wind chill here so it's darn chili to be outside with 10 to 15 minutes outside you get frostbite I hope you enjoy your warm weather your friend again keep up the good work..👍😃
Boy always takes so little such basic items and just with your magic touch with the old ways make something scrumptious really appreciate these old style backwood gourmet recipes you do keep up the delicious viewing meals thanks God bless
Damn Scott, it’s colder in Fl than Iowa ! This looks great, I’m just happy you didn’t do chicken and rice ! I need a good heavy tri pod for my Dutch ovens, I have one but I don’t really trust it! Great cook my friend! We did get a new fire pit for the campsite with an adjustable grate !
Thank you, looks easy to make, enjoy the cold while it last, it'll get hot on you all soon enough!! Ordered some seminole swamp seasoning too, hope I like it? Thanks for the video. John T. Off to make hamburger biscuits and gravy.
First time seeing your video. Your meal looks very yummy, Can you please tell me the name of your tripod and where I can get one. I want to start cooking with open fire. Haven't done that kind of cooking since I was in my 20s. I am retiring in February 2024, I have started urban homestead last year with chickens and just planted my first raised garden garlic bed in October and will be planting more vegetables in the spring. Also, I will be learning how to preserve by canning and dehydrating herb and garden items.
Food looks good. Will be trying it soon ! Like the music. Like the closeups. Closeups are always good. Where did you get that fire ring ? Is it a tub from Tractor Supply or some place like that ?
Just bought a 20 qt Dutch oven for a natural rock firepit I’ve built this past year. Don’t have a tripod yet for it, as I’m unsure which ones are sturdy enough for a 40lb pot plus ingredients. Any suggestions on who sells a heavy duty one? Can’t wait to fire it up. Thanks for the videos!
Looks delicious! Hope y’all are staying warm; too cold for this Florida Boy down here in Seminole County. I don’t mind it as much camping & hunting in the woods. Must be because we eat heartier at camp. Thanks for the video.
My Mother did a variation of this with Campbell's Cream of Mushroom! She did it in a Dutch Oven from stove top to, oven. I Still Have That Dutch Oven! I Use it All the time! My wife Isn't allowed use it! Ha Ha!
Hey buddy I’ve heard you can’t use cast iron on a glass top stove or it will crack it is that true or not we remodeled our house and bought a new one that now glass ?? Love your videos still
I'm coming to your house the next time you cook that.....LOL That looked ready to make and tasty.... Yeah go ahead and tease us by tasting it on camera....LOL By the way nice edit also......
Just found your channel. Im looking at purchasing my first camp dutch oven, yes a total newbie here at 54yrs old 😊 I have a few questions for you. 1) we're 2 people, would a Lodge 10" 5q deep work well for strews like this and say a small whole chicken or small beef roast and veggies? 2) I noticed you said ready in 30 mins, im use to doing stew in a crock pot on low for 7.5hrs, how work the chicken be safer to eat after only 30ms in the DO? Please be kind, its a genunine question. 3) how long would i preheat the DO over the fire before adding the meat? And how high should the base be above the flames? Im excited to learn camp cooking on a DV on a tripod 😊
The 10" deep 5 Quart Do would be a great choice for 2 folks. As for the rest of your questions, they have been answered multiple time on this channel with over 599 video. Go to our channel page and check out the playlist.

Thanx for being American. I clicked on one video, and now I'm inundated with Aussies.
I tried this in the house, on the stove. My wife didn't like the tripod on the counter and floor. But I advised her, you'd said it was okay to do. 😁
Hilarious. I'm going to have to start filming disclaimers.
Always love cook food outside taste better ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Make your own cream of chicken without those ingredients. Thanks for watching.
😁😁😁😁😁👍👍👍👍👍👍

Thanks for watching Ed.
Adds a quarter cup of garlic ‘bout a teaspoon’. 😂
anyone know why my brand new dutch oven got all rusty after the first coocking ????
The only reason that would have happened is if you did not season it. Go back to my channel page for directions on how to do that.
Nothing in description but that's ok
