The third video on rope modelling I just watched and still found something new. Understanding the different considerations for 3D printing vs CG is great. Thanks a lot for all that you're sharing.
Lmao. So I've literally just set up a vote for next week's video on doing things that are solid along a curve (like tank tracks) or Hard Ops or how to make variation on a design quickly. The pole will be up on Wednesday
I'm still getting caught on some some of these videos, but have you looked at the Conform Object addon by Mark Kingsnorth? I've been watching some other channels rave about it, and just picked it up, but not had a chance to use it yet.
I've seen it but same as you I haven't had a chance to pick it up of fully look into it. It's on the list but there are some other add ons on my priority list first 👍🏻
It never works with any method from a curve really. The vertices created on the caps will be separated from the vertices on the curve so they need to be merged together.
Oh for sure. I love Cablerator but I already have two videos on that and wanted to have a full range of videos on the channel for people that don't have the add on. You can check the videos out here if you want to check your Cablerator knowledge (the second video especially has some awesome "tricks)! ua-cam.com/video/sow1Env7qJ0/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/oHinO2ySVs0/v-deo.html
As a beginner i was searching exactly something like this. This helped a lot. Thank you so much!
Awesome. Glad I could help.
Your'e such a goldmine for learning!
That's great to hear 😁

😁👍🏻 Thanks. I'm glad people are finding the 3D printing elements useful.
This was very helpful..great tutorial.
Cheers!
Thanks!
No problem.
Great video mate, I was seriously going to ask if you could do a vid on ropes and chains. Sooooo chains next perhaps?

Nice one, thanks :)
Cheers.
Nice vid!
Thanks :D
@@ArtisansofVaul I like your channel format. I am trying to learn blender and I feel your videos will be great for that.

Why doesn't fill caps work with this method?

why dont i have the hOPS OPTION IN MY VERSION HELP ME OUTT
HOps is a paid for add on, it doesn't come with Blender. There is a link to it in the description.
I learned how to do this, then I got cablerator. Two clicks.
