Hey Mike, drive up to Sam's at Mt. Nebo and take some of those orders....that way I won't get hit with them as my Round Robin and take an AR hit... :-P
Love from Sioux falls SD. My regular job stop giving overtime. Walmart spark is way better than Amazon flex. ( The top pay for Amazon flex is about $120 for out of town delivery ( there's no in town delivery). In Sioux falls SD there's 4 Walmart and a sam club. I made 1600 in two weeks. Thanks 🙏🏾 for the info
I'm way way too impatient. Shop and deliver is the only thing that I would ever do. I already do my own grocery shopping and I'm not a lazy person, so I would def do shop and deliver over sitting there and waiting. I will grocery curb side pick up for doordash any other app. I never did it before and today I snagged one up on doordash to see what it was like. It was $16 and just 7 miles. I get there go into a curbside pick up spot, text them. Then I'm waiting for like 20 min. There were other cars sitting at other spots waiting for theirs as well, that should have been a sign. The girl sitting next to me she finally gets her order the guy comes and she starts to argue with him because he won't help her put everything in the car. She was like I got here at 3:05pm and it's now 4:20PM. Once I heard that, I was like hell to the NO. I cancelled immediately. I didn't care if my completion rate went down to 96%. It took me 15 min to drive there and I sat there for almost 30 min and there were still cars sitting there that were there before I got there. Never again. Ever. I then got an order for $9 bucks and that is all I made for that whole hour. smh.
I don't mind the shop and deliver if it's like 20 items or less. The payout on those is usually good, but no amount of money would entice me to shop for over 50 items lol. My adhd starts acting up🤣🤣🤣
Yeah I could lower my standards and do 20 or less instead of 10 or less but I just don’t like shopping gigs. Just another step in the process that’s kind of a pain imo. Works for some though
@@YourDriverMike i love to do Walmart. It's my number one app right now. I take some of curbside pickup but I prefer to take shopping because you control your time. A tip for you. Take orders that a ready only. Getting ready means the associates still doing the shopping and can take forever. You need to learn how Walmart works. It's a different kind of animal.
Things I've learned while doing Spark... #1 - make sure you check the arrival time. If it is 15 or 30 minutes from the current time you're probably going to be waiting an hour before the load up your vehicle. If possible only take ASAP or express orders. Also, if your order shows as "ready" I have had decent luck by calling the phone number posted in the parking space and being polite and playing dumb... just say "I wasn't sure if I needed to check in or not"... most of the time I've found my order comes out faster. Just don't do it every time... I've had good luck getting shop and delivery orders but I only get them if I am parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot. I'll take a shop and delivery order any day over curbside. With Wal-Mart everything probably depends on the market you're in. I'm probably in one of the top markets in the country so for me this gig has been paying twice as much as Door Dash. The effort to make $100 on Spark is far less than if I tried to do the same on Door Dash
Exactly. I do nothing but shop and delivers because I can BANG THEM OUT I'm no time! I see people who do nothing but curbsides as lazy. I made $456 yesterday just doing shop and delivers!!!!
Mike, I appreciate your commitment to give this app another shot. I just feel like spark needs to make a couple of changes and updates to make things good for drivers who are having bad experiences, like the pay to go the extra mile on making easy money.
They activated a lot of new driver for Black Friday sales - which has the drivers / old accounts not getting regular offers. Also the wait times are crazy long at the store. On Sundays you could be waiting for over an hour There’s so many regular customers getting items picked up To be fair at night after like 7pm the waits are 5 min when I guess most customers aren’t doing their own pickups. I think Walmart+ pickup is growing faster with more customers picking up than Walmart is hiring staff to bring the orders out and shop for them
That’s not right we started before them how are we not getting good orders all these people coming out of nowhere it’s annoying this is what I do for a living I’m going to have to get a office job or something this sucks
@@Kitathegang most gig apps try to lure new drivers in give them a good sample. Current drivers already know the algorithm payouts routes and cherry picks were new drivers takes any order as they think moar of them are good.
I’m a year old new to driving deliveries. I live in MD, I started Spark Driving because Shipt orders pays we’re getting so crappy. But I’m quickly realizing, Spark is not good either. I don’t ever see a shop order for $51 in my area not for 8 miles. The highest, I received was $25 on Saturdays for shop order. I would prefer to do the shopping. I shop faster than Walmart workers. I have waited at least 30 minutes on curbside several times. So, I would welcome your shopping offers anytime. I’m new to your channel. Thank you for the tips.
Spark has blown up in my area and I make $2.50+ / mile and well over $30/hr. I have 2 Walmarts within 10 miles of each other, tons of orders, and usually not a long wait time. You do have the option after 30 minutes to drop the order without a negative impact on your rating and they pay you for some of the order. I have almost given up on Door Dash and use Instacart and Spark part time and am making more than my full time job in half the hours. People have to realize the market you are doing and the market that they could be doing are extremely different.
Mike, my opinion is that Spark is only good if you want to only do shop and deliver and you are willing to shop the bigger orders. Saturdays and Sundays are typically $400 days for me with Mondays being pretty nice too and I prefer the shops, otherwise I’ll be waiting 5-30 minutes (on a good day and assuming there isn’t an order issue, which there always is). The money is there, it just takes a lot of hustle
The last Spark run I did was a 13 drops for $50. And my run covered 22miles and ended 3 miles from my place. My wait for that run was a 30min drive to the store, and I waited 20+ minutes. So I'm was glad it took me home after.
I like shop and deliver because the curbside wait has been horrible. Also, for Spark shop/deliver, they give you the aisle and section where the item is. Easy. I hate instacart because they don’t tell you where the item is. If you don’t know the store, it takes forever.
Walmarts are backed up on order volume and short staffed. Spark shop orders are now included with OGP hourly order counts. Each store averages 50 + orders for OGP and the scheduled ones are handled by curbside. Me I personally love shop when the pay is right it's all about the customer tips I prefer $10 tip for under 25 items $20 for 50 items this included with spark delivery pay makes it nice and helps in situations whe. tip baiting occurs. I like curbside but pay scale is low and I noticed these Re tip baited more then shop order even tho they are random.
Shop and deliver are the best ones for me. Curbside pickup is terrible with incredibly long wait times(over an hour). I can shop and checkout so much faster. I would have knocked the $51 order out easily in an hour including delivery. There are very few shop and deliver ones in my market, and i'd prefer they were all those ones.
Been there done that Brother Mike!!! Time is the biggest consideration aside from the revoking tip issue. It begs the conversation are we really ICs or are we on call employees without the benefits and time clock?!
I love the shop and deliver. I can control my time and not wait super long at the curbside pickup. I can pick a 50 item order in 30 minutes:) also they pay better
The shopping is usually better because if it says you can do the shopping in 46 minutes you can usually do it in 30 minutes and then the driving is usually short. So when you get stuck waiting for them to bring the stuff out to you. It's less money longer driving and it takes longer for them to bring it out than you take by yourself
a lot of stores have disgruntled employees that throttle the order/batch output, some of the pickers are slow too and don't get me started on the whackass managers.....
That's the exact reason I only take shop and deliver orders. because I hate sitting there waiting to be able to check in, and then waiting on them to bring it out. in that time I could have already had that shop and deliver delivered and been back starting another s&d order.
p.s. you should have taken that $50 shop and deliver lol - I have kids and as a result have made so many trips to walmart, I know where everything is. so even an order with 50 items is a breeze... I can do them faster than waiting for a curbside order. The key is to go to a wal-mart you are already familiar with... if you pick one you don't regularly shop at, that's another story.
If it says getting ready, then don't check in because there is a glitch that will cause you to wait indefinitely. The employees won't be notified you are checked in.
Those multi stops aren’t too bad. IF the AI maps the route right. Since you don’t get to choose, I’ve had to double back before and that’s infuriating. I’d say I’m averaging 10-20 minutes waiting anyway. I never leave the house until the order says READY. So I use that extra 20 minutes after acceptance to DoorDash. My biggest gripe about Spark is the millions of notifications I get for stores I will never go to. I live 500 yards from the one I use. I’m not driving 20 plus minutes to go to another one.
I do spark and some times of the day wait times are quick and some times of the day are hell when it comes to wait time. Also I would’ve done that $60 something offer u passed up. Even if it takes 1 1/2hr-2hrs that’s $30@hr! Most other apps ain’t paying that and their base pay is lower and people tip bait or don’t tip at all. So seeing 40,50,60 dollars for a delivery is a go for me. Also those multiple drops are usually close to in another, quick and either 1 item or a couple lightweight small -medium sized items. Easy work! And better then carrying cat litter, dog food, cases of water, packs of soda, or packs of Gatorade to apartments going up and down stairs all day 👎🏾.
Pair spark with doordash /uber eats. Whenever you get a round Robin order take a dd/ ue order in the meantime. After your spark drop offs do dd/ ue until you get another spark order and repeat
@@CoconutPete nah only if you log in early and the order isn’t ready it messes up the stores metrics but if the order is ready they get it to you early and it helps their metrics.
I love Walmart spark personally, there’s tons of orders near me and I live right across the street from a Walmart and about 2 minutes from Sam’s. I like shopping orders and curbside but I haven’t done the crazy ones with 5-15 orders all spaced minutes apart, and with no tips.
Another thing that makes Shop & Deliver better is that if it’s from a store that you know the layout of and the items are on the same aisle, sometimes you can collect like 5 items per minute. That does dramatically cut down the wait time.
exactly! Before i did Spark it wasn't unusual for me to go to get groceries (due to having kids) almost every day. I know where almost everything is... sometimes you get lucky and you'll have 5 or 10 items in one or two aisles. Shop and Delivers are the best... I'll take them in a heartbeat over any other order type
Mathematically, shop reliever Unless under 15 items. Never will be easier or faster. Amount of time walking searching applying to phone and checkout line. No it’s not faster
The only thing I like about Shop & Deliver is that there’s less time on the road which translates to less fuel waste for the money being earned. It’s the difference between spending half of what you earn to pay for fuel vs only spending 20% of what you earn to pay for fuel.
When you arrive for a pickup half of the time the walmart is always short staf and the delivery hasn't even been pulled from the floor and when you call spark they only give you $3 or $4 for cancelation smh..I waited almost an 1hr just to be told the order has been canceled.. Another thing for people like me that drive a Cargo Van they should have it so you're able to get more than one or two orders at one time...I'm glad I do more than one thing also..spark has really changed since the holidays
Veteran driver here for Walmart...love your channel thank you for the diversity and such great information!! The scoop ...... You get the offer at 15 after the hour ...they make you wait until 40 after the hour to slide you've arrived for curbside ...then the waiting game for the associates to dispense then load then scan then GPS then go So basically Walmart holds us hostage After 3 years delivering for Walmart first Roadie then SPARK this past year I somehow have just several weeks ago discovered that I was deactivated..and there is no recourse no discussion no person to answer DDI voicemail or reply from my countless emails Seriously there was no explanation 5000 deliveries and simply ' your account is deactivated' More criticisms ... The map is unclear when making offers so you really can't tell where they intend to send you...I mean with Roadie you could get fine details of the route before bidding making offer but with SPARK not possible..and then when or if you decline the offer they try to manipulate you to accepting and you choose to decline ..you are punished mercilessly by their lowering your metrics 2 percent The instore shopping is difficult when the wifi is not strong and often times the screen simply changes on you enroute to a particular isle product etc and you have to refresh or come back at the end ...and often times the stores don't have the correct UPC or the item is stashed somewhere else in the isle The customer support of course is simply ridiculous like most of these apps ...whereas we call ..gp through many prompts and then wait time and when connected to support they treat you as you are some guest checking into a 5 star hotel with all their niceties script you're forced to have to endure ( taking up so so much precious time ) and then they make you give them your phone number name and email address with yet more niceties They cannot help you really unless you need permission to return an order ...and then they escalate which results in yet more typical unhelpful email support The entire system is flawed and one would think Walmart would have the funds to actually fix it Nah The worst is that the associates hate SPARK as well But if you ever wanted to get in touch with DDI I would bet you'll find their voicemail boxes are all full..they will send you in circles with prompts and extensions and no one will ever answer..and your emails will never be responded to It all sucks
I got approved to drive on it... but everytime i log in it says my info is wrong, reset pass, its still wrong. try to log into ddi. still wrong and wont let me reset pass
So, Spark is my only gig app and only job. Mostly because I haven't had time to make my first Flex run. But the thing with Spark is they change up too many things and the app becomes worse as a result. As for the shop and deliver, it may just be my zone, but the "minutes" given aren't actually accurate. For me, at least, once you start the shopping, it simply gives you a time to be done by, usually an hour and a half to two hours, and doesn't penalize you with a countdown timer anymore. I think that estimate is simply theirs for how long it should take. Overall, shop and deliver is very much preferable as of late since Walmart bought Spark and now directly owns it. The pay has decreased and the miles offered for that low pay has increased. Unless they change that and revert those calculations to how they were about a year ago, I can't see there being a Spark app for much longer
My area is usually really slow, between 10 to 40 minute wait on average. However, some of us drivers have had to wait over 2 hours due to Walmart worker shortage. I wish we had shop and deliver, it would be worth it. It is rare to get an s&d order. But Spark and Point Pickup at Walmart is still better than the food delivery apps around Breaux Bridge, LA.
Yes!!! The wait times are brutal! The order says ASAP and ready and yet I still wait there forever. They dont have enough help. There's stores around me that consistently have 13 drivers waiting in spots. Spark could be really good but the system needs to be overhauled. I only do it on my days off for a few hours. Couple hundred a week is all im after but the waiting still sucks.
I'm with you Mike I don't do the shop and delivers they just don't pay enough for YOUR TIME so I try to just take the pick up and deliver one's and prescription pick up and drop offs! 👍🏼😊
Just admit it, you're lazy. You make WAYYY more money doing shopmand delivers. I made $456 yesterday doing them. No way in hell you're making that kind of money doing just curbsides.
That's why I've been choosing the shop & deliver orders as much as I can. The stores are so backed up, the curbside pickups are taking forever. I use Spark as filler if the timing is good and I'm near a store. Otherwise, I don't rely on it consistently.
I prefer shop & deliver. However, I do notice Walmart has been paying for wait time lately. I accepted $42 for 20 mile double curbside grocery run yesterday on Spark mainly that I had to travel in that direction and I wasn't in a rush. However, I waited 1 hour for them to bring out the order and it paid $10 extra automatically. Not bad, considering that I can bring out my computer and do other work while I wait for them anyway so it's all relative and ended up being a great deal despite it took 2 hours start to finish. My main gripe with Spark is that some legs of a double may cancel from the time they originally dispatch the order to be available in the app to when we actually receive the order curbside, one of the orders may cancel. Had that happen once; where the further away drop off was cancelled. Was $36 for 10 miles originally and went to $36 for 1.5 miles at which point I jumped on it. $15 of it was tip money that stuck b/c it was from the order that stood. But I was only paid $29 for the run b/c it was 1 rather than 2 drop offs. It's a gripe of the support agent I talked to as well and they said they are working on it.
I love S&D orders because I can go as fast as I want. I know my store well, so I can shop, bag, and deliver usually in far less time than it takes just to pick up my curbside orders AND it usually pays better! They aren't perfect, but I prefer them. My 2 local stores run an average of 40-60 minutes behind.
Walmarts near me have been buying those W+ electric vans. I think each location will have like 1-2 vans , maybe a small fleet where they are loading them up like Amazon and doing routes. So it’s gonna cut into spark
It's December. Of course wait times are longer. Also greatly depends on your market, time of the day, day of the week, if there is an event going on in or around the Walmart...etc. spark is by no means perfect, but it beats the lowball offers you'd get from DD and UE. Sometimes.
Thanks for your deep dives into these gig opportunities. I've learned a lot in the short time I have subed. Spark and Roadie are my primary. I dumped the Dash earlier this year. Am making more in less time and miles. Small market, central WI. Tip: if Spark order says it's ready, click phone on airplane mode, start trip, plane mode off, confirm arrival. Most of the time you can p.u. 20 mins earlier. TY ✌️❤️🍍
I've done 3 deliveries with Spark. This is the worst delivery platform ever. I waited 45 minutes for my first order to come to my car. Then my second delivery sent me to a store 15 miles away from where I was and I waited 30 minutes there. My third delivery was a 3 stop Sam's club order 15 miles to that store. Then none of the orders had customer names on them only a barcode sticker and the numbers didn't match the order numbers in the app. Worst app interface and experience delivering across multiple apps. Then you have to download another app just to get paid? Walmart screwed up big time trying to do it themselves. Should have just kept using Doordash for their deliveries.
We have been seeing more shop & deliver orders then normal we do make $1000 plus a week and sometimes we don’t even work 5 days our goal is $200 to $300 a day. In our area we get batch orders $90 each so for us spark is the best app we have. Everyone’s area is different good luck to everyone 💪🏼💪🏼
If you think $51 for shopping for 49 items and driving 8 miles is a bad offer, you need to stop doing gig work. That is as good as it will get. Listen guys many of you started when DD paid the same $3 regardless of miles and this was why mileage was so stressed with DD. This has gotten to the point of ridiculousness. Look if an order is going to take you lets say 90 minutes for $51, then that is an hourly rate of $34 per hour. You guys need to stop auto rejecting high mileage orders without figuring out the time it will take to complete the order and what you hourly rate is going to be. I can tell you that order valuation by drivers is probably most driver's biggest problem they can fix. Mileage means a tax deduction that is very generous so mileage doesn't matter that much, what actually matters is the time.
When I first started with spark it was beautiful. Now it just out right sucks there is just more wasted time and I just got sick of it. All I can say is WALMART get your act together because you went downhill real quick
My wait time 15 to 20 minutes . The last 2 weeks the orders are trash. I have a high metrics. When they mean priority orders sent to you with high metrics. It means the orders that are sitting there that no one will take and when you turn the app on a priority order will show up like this. It's a priority order all right. It needs to be delivered a couple hours ago. Like this I got a order $7 some change. 7.2 miles medium order apt building. Next order $14. 12.4 miles 2 drops. I'm I working for free. It's going down fast. They want to see how far and low you will take a order. It will kept going down. Like the other apps. Walmart spark at the bottom in my marketso much trash orders
Ive done spark for about 5 months, i have 170 deliveries as of today, if you want to wait your life away, do spark. my wait times are from 10 minutes to one hour twenty minutes. They are so slow most of the time, its rediculas, Walmart Spark = wait wait wait and wait as you watch drivers that got there 15 minutes after you get their orders before you. SPARK is the worst gigg.
Of all the issues I’m having with Spark, the shopping orders have actually been a breath of fresh air. I’ve heard the nightmare stories of cancelled orders right as they finish checking out, etc. but most times i can shop faster than the wait times lol Check out my vid of issues if you want, probs coming out with one on how to overcome them soon 👌
I accepted an order at something like $25 for pickup, then I go in and check it and the price dropped in HALF, contacted support and they said that one of the orders was canceled (but it still showed 2 orders and the full amount on my initial accepted screen and after I accepted, only the lower amount when you went INTO it....that was annoying...
In my opinion if you find a good Walmart store and only accept orders from that store, you can make a ton of money on Spark. The shop and deliver orders are way better than say Instacart because at least where I work the Walmart's have aisle numbers AND sections, meaning there is about a 4-foot long section of the aisle where the item should be. Easy to see if it is out of stock of not very quickly so you can always make $25+ per hour PLUS if you only accept from the store you are already at and then keep coming back, you won't have to drive far to the store. Also my brother works at Walmart so he told me that the pure delivery orders always drop at XX:20 so 10:20, 11:20, etc. and the pick-up times are for XX:45. Shop and delivery or express orders can drop anytime and you can fill in the gaps with those. Also I turn on UberEats right before completing Walmart deliveries just in case so I always have an order to do.
Doing doordash red card shop oders is pretty easy but the moment an item is out of stock you have to message the customer for an alternative and it takes an extra 3-5min per item not available
So I’m actually gonna teach you a few things there Mike. So I’m in Washington just south of you and out Walmart is highly efficient. But what I want to let you know is that if you get an arrival time and you know it’s gonna say too early, hit Airplane Mode then accept. It’ll allow you to take the order and pick it up early. As for shop and deliver, items in the order can be considered bags, and I would guess that 8 of those items are bags, and even a few duplicates. Finally Walmart has changed its shopping time to a general on the hour and is way more lenient with your shopping time now. Hope this helps
Wait 10 minutes and then cancel. If you cancel less than 10 minutes it will go against you on the drop rate metric. That’s the same as doordashs completion rate or Instacarts cancellation rate. If you drop too many batches under 10 minutes it’s grounds for deactivation.
0:16. What's wrong with that? I know the layouts of my Walmart so I shop out of order and can could your 50 item offer in 15 and have it delivered in about 15-20. And you should turn the app one when you at the store to save on transit time to the store. From a guy makes $30 an hour on Spark, you're shooting yourself in the foot and costing yourself money only doing deliveries.
Last time I waited long time, I chat with driver help. They told me I could remove the order if I didn't get the order loaded within 30 minutes. And they would give me an inconvenience fee, which was 25bucks.
Everyone is saying they like shop and deliver but shop and deliver is rarely offered. How do you get the app to offer more shop and deliver? is that even possible? I LOVE the shop and delivers. I have been doing spark for about 10 days now and I have only been offered 2 shop and delivers. T took both. Otherwise, more than 90 percent of what I am offered is batches of ASAP.
I don't have that problem at my Walmart locations. I avoid the stores that don't have enough help. Usually when I pull up it's ready to go. Of course I can very store the store. When I do the round robins that have to be picked up at 15 minutes to the hour I multi app and grab a short mile order before the pickup. So you might think it's a clown move but hey I'm making the money. I made $38 an hour yesterday. You need to learn how to multi app to maximize the money
Spark is most def worth it. S&D is my go to due to the pay I make in an hr. Curbside sucks because the customer pulls their tip and you don’t make that much compare to knowing how much you make on shop and deliver. The pay did decrease but I make the most money out of all my apps on spark
Uber eats even is starting to get those multiple walmart delivery pick ups and the pay was not high enough for me. 17.00 for 20 something miles 6 deliveries
I don't wait more than 15 mins. I'll cancel if it's not out by then and there's 20 cars waiting for their otders as well. Then I go to another Walmart. I don't have time to waste nor lose out on money.
I do spark only and check in every hour at :39 instead of :45 and they come out in 5 mins and are out at the correct time and I work 15 hours shift and make atleast $400 a day this is is the best gig u just have to be In the right market and right located Walmarts so u can get ur orders done faster .. out of my 15 hours I get at least 7 of those hours where I’m able to pick up 2 orders in a hours and each order ranges from $25-$30 so for a few hours during the day I make $60 a hour switch really boost my pay
I’ve also been having Spark NOT CHECK ME in. I sat there for over an hour. I was so pissed. Even though I was checked in on the app, picked my parking spot and everything. And not one employee checked on me? I had to ask them.
I've been trying for months to get on the website it wants to send me a one-time phone verification but never comes through to my phone is there any suggestions on how to get on spark
Hello my friend how long would it take to be approved for this park driver app I have been waiting for so long for many many months already they already completed the background check but it's still hasn't progressed is there any phone number or something to call to track it thanks
I started a month ago driving for Walmart spark. The wait time for picking up orders has been not to bad until today. Waited for 30+ mins for 1 order 1 item. I ended up canceling the order for long wait time. But lucky i am located in Orange County, California and there are 4 Walmart's around 10 (+ -) miles apart from each-other.
Spark you just need learn the pacing. You're going to get a max of 1 accepted offer per hour. Whatever that $ amount is will be your $/hour. Your goal is to pick orders which you can complete in that hour to make it back by the ~00-05 after the hour to pickup your next round robin offer. Shop and delivers are my favorite. Get the steps in, 1 trip, don't have to sit there waiting, usually better $/mile. Just have to be careful not to take a huge order UNLESS maybe you want to end the day with it and get a bigger chunk knowing you won't be back to try to get another. Learning the apps, offers and how to time things is key for any gig app.
16 stops for $59…all day long! Most the deliveries are a few minutes apart. Longest it’s ever taken me was 2 hours. That’s $30 an hour plus the mileage write off…totally worth that. A shop & deliver for that much and you didn’t take it…money to be made just gotta make it. All adds up at the end of the day.
This is just your market. I do spark full time and in my market I almost never see shop and delivery. It’s always a curbside pickup at a :45 min time frame or asap and in my market there is never a wait. Most times I get my order early. My Walmarts have managers that only work curbside pickup and they have metrics they have to meet. My Walmarts have managers that all they do is when a new car come the walk up to your window and manually check you in.
The last 3 times I went Walmart I had to wait 30 mins. And that’s with being 20 mins away from my home and I didn’t even get the order I had to contact support to cancel and only got 3 dollars for a 30 min wait
Also. If you waited 30 minutes. Double check how much you got paid. Walmart is not clear about this, but you get paid more if you wait more than 15 for schedule orders like that..express gotta wait like a hour for it.... And... You can also call driver support. Tell them you want compensated for long wait

The shops are easy even 50 item shops only take 20-25 min if you know what you are doing and always pay over $50
@@YourDriverMike yes, I totally agree. If you don't like it, you just don't like it.
I've done 94-100 before......it was....interesting.
Spark in my area is AMAZING! Low wait times and the shop and delivers payout is amazing, sometimes $40 for 10mins of work!
On Sundays you could be waiting for over an hour
There’s so many regular customers getting items picked up
To be fair at night after like 7pm the waits are 5 min when I guess most customers aren’t doing their own pickups.
I think Walmart+ pickup is growing faster with more customers picking up than Walmart is hiring staff to bring the orders out and shop for them
All excellent points. Yes seeing more W+ trucks hustling. Many regular customer pick ups too
Yes customers even co e to pickup when they can't get order delivered which is still a win on the customer no shopping lok
On Monday I had 8 duplicate orders that had already been dispensed. What a waste of the day.
I don’t mind shop & deliver because your right the wait time is getting ridiculous
I do shop and deliver only on small orders. Will do especially in mornings. Well stocked and short lines.
p.s. you should have taken that $50 shop and deliver lol - I have kids and as a result have made so many trips to walmart, I know where everything is. so even an order with 50 items is a breeze... I can do them faster than waiting for a curbside order. The key is to go to a wal-mart you are already familiar with... if you pick one you don't regularly shop at, that's another story.
I multi app with roadie. They have Walmart orders for my same Spark store so I use both apps. One pickup multiple drops, maximized gains.
I only do the 12+ order batches when there is an incentive that requires you to complete a certain number of trips.
If it says getting ready, then don't check in because there is a glitch that will cause you to wait indefinitely. The employees won't be notified you are checked in.
This happened to me today!!! :-(
I usually wait 5-10min but the thing I am irritated with is the tip baiting!! Walmart needs to stop allowing this!
You can also go to airplane mode and start the trip early but only do that if the order status is READY early
be careful with this trick.... I've heard people are getting banned if you do this
@@CoconutPete nah only if you log in early and the order isn’t ready it messes up the stores metrics but if the order is ready they get it to you early and it helps their metrics.
It really does.
Great way of looking at it!
Spark sucks. Base pay was lowered, wait times are up. I refuse to do curbside, shop and deliver $20 minimum
Veteran driver here for Walmart...love your channel thank you for the diversity and such great information!!
The scoop
......
You get the offer at 15 after the hour ...they make you wait until 40 after the hour to slide you've arrived for curbside ...then the waiting game for the associates to dispense then load then scan then GPS then go
So basically
Walmart holds us hostage
After 3 years delivering for Walmart first Roadie then SPARK this past year I somehow have just several weeks ago discovered that I was deactivated..and there is no recourse no discussion no person to answer DDI voicemail or reply from my countless emails
Seriously there was no explanation
5000 deliveries and simply
' your account is deactivated'
More criticisms ...
The map is unclear when making offers so you really can't tell where they intend to send you...I mean with Roadie you could get fine details of the route before bidding making offer but with SPARK not possible..and then when or if you decline the offer they try to manipulate you to accepting and you choose to decline ..you are punished mercilessly by their lowering your metrics 2 percent
The instore shopping is difficult when the wifi is not strong and often times the screen simply changes on you enroute to a particular isle product etc and you have to refresh or come back at the end ...and often times the stores don't have the correct UPC or the item is stashed somewhere else in the isle
The customer support of course is simply ridiculous like most of these apps ...whereas we call ..gp through many prompts and then wait time and when connected to support they treat you as you are some guest checking into a 5 star hotel with all their niceties script you're forced to have to endure ( taking up so so much precious time ) and then they make you give them your phone number name and email address with yet more niceties
They cannot help you really unless you need permission to return an order ...and then they escalate which results in yet more typical unhelpful email support
The entire system is flawed and one would think Walmart would have the funds to actually fix it
Nah
The worst is that the associates hate SPARK as well
But if you ever wanted to get in touch with DDI I would bet you'll find their voicemail boxes are all full..they will send you in circles with prompts and extensions and no one will ever answer..and your emails will never be responded to
It all sucks
Sam's Club near me is within 3 minutes. Associate even said that is their goal.
I’ll do pick up drop offs all day just shopping gigs don’t do it for me. If they pay enough then sure I’ll do it though
I'm the exact same way 👍🏼🤣😂
Just admit it, you're lazy. You make WAYYY more money doing shopmand delivers. I made $456 yesterday doing them. No way in hell you're making that kind of money doing just curbsides.
Been on the waiting list for months. I wish I could get a $50 order at Spark.
Yeah, same here! There's sign up process is a joke. There's no way to even reach anybody.
You will get on soon we heard lots of drivers are getting in for the holidays we sometimes get $90 orders so definitely keep waiting it’s worth it
Some people aren’t even getting orders sent to them.. meanwhile other drivers are getting all the orders.. that needs to be fixed..
That's why I've been choosing the shop & deliver orders as much as I can. The stores are so backed up, the curbside pickups are taking forever.
I use Spark as filler if the timing is good and I'm near a store. Otherwise, I don't rely on it consistently.
Especially during Black Friday and now Christmas.
Huge wait times. Yes holidays could be crushing them as some have commented
You can get around the “it’s too early to start” problem by putting your phone in airplane mode and then tapping start.
The shop and deliver orders are better than the deliver only orders. Sometimes you can wait up to 2 hours for curbside pick up
When there are incentives for trips I do shops since I know I het 1 do e each hr
The best is when the status is "ready" but it still wont let you check in cause you're too early.
Yeah I hate that BS!
Did Spark offer in Chicago for $85 for 10 locations... Drove 40 minutes and got to pick up and people were waiting 1 hour ... NEVER AGAIN
Mike, if spark says “you’re too early” switch to airplane mode and click start delivery. It’ll let you check in and often times the order is ready
I will definitely try that. But what is the significance of using it to cause that effect on the app I wonder!!??!!
That can get you deactivated. There’s a reason it doesn’t let you check in without interference.
@@BroccoliSoupConnoisseur source? Oh wait, you’re making that up
People can get deactivated for doing airplane mode

Walmarts near me have been buying those W+ electric vans. I think each location will have like 1-2 vans , maybe a small fleet where they are loading them up like Amazon and doing routes. So it’s gonna cut into spark
Vans are just helping with those large batch orders until in home delivery becomes more popular…
I only have to wait about 5 min at each Walmart in Prescott Az
Airplane mode, my friend. Airplane and then you can get past that. If the order is ready then don't wait
A couple weeks ago I waited two hours and did not record any round robins. Just trash offers. Have not sparked since.
Like this
I got a order $7 some change.
I’ve heard the nightmare stories of cancelled orders right as they finish checking out, etc. but most times i can shop faster than the wait times lol
Check out my vid of issues if you want, probs coming out with one on how to overcome them soon 👌
You are better off doing the shops, Walmart employees are not paid to be fast.
That is where multi apping comes into play. Take a short run while waiting for your pickup time
Problem is the curbside orders are usually ready 15-30 minutes after the pickup time
From another clown who thinks the other apps are providing non stop streams of offers.
You have to be at the Walmart the orders drop 20 after every hour and you have to be there to pick it up 15 minutes till
On my bottom..gopuff and instacart has too many doubles...takes too long to shop too.
I tried to sign up today. It said my zone was full of drivers and they where not accepting new drivers.
A person doing spark during the holidays makes me very uneasy that they're driving on the same roads as me.
Central Calif. same scenario ...rough
Horrible wait times here. I look for shop and delivers
I've been trying for months to get on the website it wants to send me a one-time phone verification but never comes through to my phone is there any suggestions on how to get on spark
Last time I was waiting for a whole hr and I canceled after 1 hr wait 😡
I have started to see a lot of walmart delivery vans in the las t couple weeks. never saw those before.
In Jacksonville Florida, spark drivers are Walmart employees and given a EV van to drive. Feeling this will spread across the country.
But lucky i am located in Orange County, California and there are 4 Walmart's around 10 (+ -) miles apart from each-other.
the longest ive waited was 45 minutes. but it turned out to be nearly 80$
For my market pick up time isn’t bad until 5 pm. I love shop and deliver. I made 190 in 6 hours today. Doing both shop and deliver and curbside.
Your the only person that has said they dont like doing shop and deliver orders. They pay the most money.
The last 3 times I went Walmart I had to wait 30 mins. And that’s with being 20 mins away from my home and I didn’t even get the order I had to contact support to cancel and only got 3 dollars for a 30 min wait
This also applies for Uber eats drivers the wait times are long and employees are saying for a week straight they are 2 hrs behind
Also. If you waited 30 minutes. Double check how much you got paid.
Walmart is not clear about this, but you get paid more if you wait more than 15 for schedule orders like that..express gotta wait like a hour for it....
And...
You can also call driver support. Tell them you want compensated for long wait
