This is the coolest homage to Dead Island ever. You did everything from the zombies breaking down the hotel door, to the multiple story plummet and even the closing eye shot.
It made me go watch the Original Cinematic Trailer and I’ve been hit with a huge wave of meloncholy. I remember rooster teeth crying watching the dead island trailer 10 years ago. Glad others remembered

Really well done storytelling here in this short trailer with the guy stealing their UV light, and how his actions affected 3 different stories; the 2 girls and his child. Can't wait for February 2022!

The double kong was on point, I'm proud to support a game that thoroughly understands the form that parkour can require especially the realism.
As someone who's learning to Kong, this double Kong was an eyegasm!
I can't imagine them getting it wrong was an option when they have David Belle, creator of parkour on their payroll.

Dying light is hands down one of the best games i've played in my ps4 and considerably one of the best games I've played in my life. It's so good, I don't regret buying it whatsoever. The graphics, parkour, mechanics, storyline, tension and just how the game works overall all is just top quality in my opinion. Of course it has some flaws like all games do but just freely playing the game itself feels divine, can't wait to play this one and I am greatly honored to have even lived up to this moment just to play this game.
Couldn't have said it better my friend DL is truly a fun game to play and with DL2 having multiple endings and different paths is gonna add soo much replay value to the game and I just can't wait

i actually didn't really like the game at first but I think the updates helped out a lot and i really got back into the game since like 2017, definitely an amazing game

Craziest thing about this trailer. The night runner and the 2 girls are in the actual game. There dead of course which is sad but the fact that they actually implemented them in the game as a spot to find is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen

Now THAT'S how you make a damn trailer. The grittiness, the hopelessness, and the realism of the world is cruel and disappointing. Loved that they did something every publisher and studio is afraid to do. I prefer this direction over the light-hearted and comedic direction many projects are headed towards. Best trailer I've seen since the Witcher 3 cinematics years ago.

@@josueescriban2413 well in one of the trailers for the first dying light we get to see the night run that leads to breken getting his head injury so hopefully this trailer is similar maybe one of the girls survived and gives a side quest to hunt the guy down for revenge only to find his body and the kid crying over the body. The thing I Love so much about Dying Light's Cinematic Trailer is that it makes you feel like you're there. Just like what they did in Dying Light 1's Cinematic. Techland always manages to outdo themselves

Thank you so much. I'm always amazed at what you guys can create. First game was amazing and this looks really great too. You are often critiqued, forced to work long hours and have windows impossible of clearing, but I am so so thankful for the worlds you have given us. And it's not said enough, but thank you for all your hardwork and dedication.

@Kill me I don't think that's the reason he's cautious, mate. I think it's because this is a company with hundreds of employees, a company that runs for profit. We were all blindsided by CDPR because they were thought to be so humble and good-hearted, so open and honest.
It's about putting your trust in something you know very little about aside from what you're shown. Do I think Techland are secretly a really horrible company with a very ugly side? No, but neither did people watching CDPR before Cyberpunk 2077 launched. Just saying, caution is not unwarranted.
I have watched this trailer every day since it came out, before work and it makes my day! Beautiful cinematic trailer that hypes everyone up. All the best techland! Although I cant wait this to come out, take your time and make this game a masterpiece that you guys are known for. My first preorder ever and this one deserved it. Love you guys!

I swear techland are the kings and queens of cinematic trailers. They never miss a beat.
I keep hearing people say this trailer is so good, but I didn't understand it. First why did that man leave those women to die, even kicked one of them off and took the purple light. Later he dies anyway from a fall but not before they show us he had a daughter. Like WTF was that? Is it just showing us the chaos and tragedy? Like everyone is out for themselves tying to survive.
@@Lorenzferus They put the scenes at different times but chronologically The guy tells his Kid to stay where they are and that he’ll be back and then Those two girls go into that building in the beginning and go into their room while being chased by zombies with the Uav light but the Guy with the child is in there before the girls and then takes their Uav light and puts it in is weapon while the girl try to stop him ultimately they can’t and he jumps out the building to escape which is shown at the start of the video and then he climbs up the building as also shown in the beginning and then gets chased by a night zombie and shoots it with a crossbow but doesn’t kill it so when he tries to jump to another building he fails cause of that same zombie grabbing him which leads to him falling and dying and leaving his kid by there self
@@Lorenzferus It's the depiction of an unforgiving and cruel post-apocalyptic world. If you have a kid waiting for you, who depends on you to survive, you'll do the exact same to do everything you can to get back home to him/her. At the end of the day, it's either you or them. You don't have the luxury of the "safe-spaces" our society has in a world like this. You're either the hunter or the prey. And often times, reality is cruel and disappointing. The man did everything he could to survive only to bite the dust at the end. That's just the cruelty of life.
@@pedrohulk6928 Thanks, I understood the sequence part, I just wasn't sure what "message" the trailer was trying to give. What confused me was how that man kicks that women off and leaves her to die. Are we suppose to think that man was the good guy since we seem to be following him as he's trying to survive. But then i realized there is no good guy, it's just everyone for themselves amidst the chaos. And that guy did a pretty douche move taking that light for himself and leaving, but he's not the protagonist or anything, just some common douche who dies at the end of the trailer. Either way, it's an interesting direction to take since it has nothing to do with the actually characters of the game. Unless maybe that little girl who's father died is part of the story or something. But yeah, once I understood it, it was a very cool trailer.

I've seen alot of comments on youtubers who have reacted to this trailer. Saying that if they were him they would have stayed and tried to save them and live with them, when really if you were him you would also have a son to take care that is shown in the trailer and you would have made that same Heat of the moment Decision.

Techland is the one game developing company where they actually respond to the audience, LIKE A LOT. Love this company although I’m a little mad that I got banned on discord for inviting random people on my friends list and one of them was Aussie.

I'm absolutely blown away by this trailer. It really gives me that same excitement that I had waiting for Dead Island to come out after they released the cinematic trailer for that game. I really hope this game lives up to how good it looks.
I stumbled upon the location of this trailer in-game. It's on Saint Paul Island, the Western windmill. On the East side of the building the windmill is on you can find the guy with the uv light dead on the ground outside, and the room with the two women above.

The ending almost made me cried but this is the best cinematic trailer that I have seen in a while

Dying light is one of the few zombie games I’ve ever played and I was so glad I did because it’s just such a phenomenal game, but this is going to be a real experience unlike any other, I can already tell. the map in this trailer is based off concepts from 2019-2020 trailer was made by platige which made the map based off concept arts so techland knew the gamelooked nothing like the concept arts yet they allowed this to come out

It's amazing how much this trailer has nothing to do with the peace of the actual game.
Yes, "Stay Human" has its sad parts with hard choices, but is the most "positive" title of the franchise.
The game really works hard to make you act like a good guy and to show positive characters all around the map.
I'm glad the story turned out to be as it is, instead of yet another depressing copy paste of Dead Island.
At least the title has a meaning: no matter what, try to keep your humanity.
I totally feel like was a callback to Dead Island and I loved every moment of it,
what a surprise for the game awards, hats off to you Techland. I can't wait to play.

Someone said in another comment about finding this in the game. Well, I found it! It’s right underneath the ‘Ash’ Windmill in Saint Paul Island.
Stand on the street with your back to the river and you’ll see an open window on the third floor of the building, climb up and through the window to see the toppled dresser in the hallway, The busted door is on the left. You will find the bodies of the 2 women in the apartment and another open window. Climbing through it, You’ll find the body of the man on the ground. His son’s body is nowhere to be seen, prompting he likely managed to escape.
Bonus: you’ll find a collectable in the apartment, which is something the dad wrote for him.
