    Hey Matt, great video! I am a sophomore in high school and I recently finished my JV season. I just learned that I am being called up to varsity to finish out the last 3 weeks of the year. I have been working extremely hard this season and I am very excited that I have achieved my goal, as I started the year on the reserve team, but I am also very nervous. Do you have any tips for how to adjust to the new level? Thank you so much!

    How do you retire, do you have to sign a bunch of papers to make it official or do you just walk out and not show up the next season ???

    • @Deathtofrogleghorn
      @Deathtofrogleghorn 5 років тому +3

      I could answer that since I used to work for the Indians. Yes, they do have to sign paperwork. They also have an HR department just like any average Joe job where they take care of it. I was with a food service company and our HR department was on the lower level (aka basement) of Progressive Field, but the Indians’ was in the executive offices. That’s where the ballplayers went to was the executive office. I think it was on the 2nd or 3rd floor for them. Their eligibility to retire was after 5 or 10 years-I can’t remember which one it was. I’m pretty sure it’s after 5 years-this is why you keep seeing these injury prone players keep playing up to that point so they could get MLB’s pension so they don’t retire completely broke.

    Hey Matt, love all your vids. Love the constant improvement in video/audio quality. My question is. How did you and/or teammates feel about signing autographs prior to a game? Whether after stretching, playing catch, etc. Also, signing autographs for adult fans? Is there a preference to female fans? As a 31 year old, there's certain players of my team (White Sox) that I'd LOVE to get their Herbie Hancock for my own sake.
    Also, look into a box light to improve your lighting and to eliminate shadows.

    It just occurred to me that in one of your videos on when to backhand a ball you said physical errors will happen if the ball goes under your glove or something like that but you also said lots of coaches want you to get in front of the ball and block it but then you might not catch the ball and if you do catch it you could be off balance so your throw could be off or not in time you also said it's if you make the play or not. But if the ball gets past you backhanding the chances of you making the play are very slim. Sorry if I said something wrong or it was confusing

      Craig Colby It got my friend two years. It would have been 6 months but since his PO caught him red handed with the wizzinator on, he was so disgusted by the device and the fact he would try and go to that extent to try and cheat his probation. So he made an example out of him. Normally kids got 6 months for violating. Poor Matt got 2 years in juvenile hall. The dude was 14 and was only smoking weed. 2 years for dirty weed test. Juvenile systems are crazy fucked up.

    think its in the players contract that they have to explain the parameters of the test, and rates of false positives and how you would test positive before they subject you to it.
