Listen to that POWERFUL ORGAN and the master ORGANIST behind the ORGAN. The congregational singing is enhanced by the excellent organ and organist! Praise the Lord!!!!
“God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble. Therefore we will not be afraid, though the earth trembles and the mountains topple into the depths of the seas, though its water roars and foams and the mountains quake with its turmoil. Selah “Stop fighting, and know that I am God, exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.”” Psalms 46:1-3, 10 CSB
Remember that this was the very hymn, a revolutionary hymn, that freed man’s consciousness of the blight of greed, of the sale of indulgences and of the corruption of the Catholic Church. This is the hymn of the virtuous people of the North. May it empower you, and may we all be strengthened by Pastor Luther, Pastor Bonhoeffer and Sophie Scholl. Es Lebe Hieleges Deutschland 🇩🇪
Jehovah, You are Almighty God. You reign and rule over all the earth. Thank You for being my mighty fortress and defender. I put all my trust in You Lord.💜
Here's hope that I will be able to sing this again in my beloved Holy Spirit Lutheran Church with my brothers and sisters in Christ! I miss them, my Pastor during this season of Social distance .
Pray for deliverance from unjust laws, which separate us from God by blocking our safe attendance at church, while supermarkets and beer gardens are busy with shoppers and patrons. Pray and continue spiritual warfare using God’s Word to dispel the darkness.
God bless you so much Martijn de Groot. I have been asking Clayton Herb and the Grace Books of our singing for so long. Two years now. I had no idea it was on UA-cam and with Lyrics. WOW! Even more of a blessing. As a new Christian, I love these songs of praise and worship. What an amazing job you did with this channel. I appreciate your service. Please, keep doing it, brother. Praise God for this amazing blessing and an answer to my prayers and opportunity sheet. What a blessing you are to us.
So glad that I managed to participate last October in the truth matters conference at grace community church, singing together with some 3000 brothers and sisters such wonderful hymns, attending to biblical teaching and preaching and enjoying such wonderful fellowship. Thank you for this great channel 🙏
Although I prefer contemporary Christian music most of the time, I really love this song and would to experience a performance of it in an old fashion church on a pipe organ just like this one of these days.
I have a unique perspective about worship music issues. No one will listen. I have classical training, love traditional church music, but also have jazz training and can play (piano) by ear. I can lead a choir. Two music degrees from Westminster Choir College. But my Church Music career was a heartbreak. Just one thing to say. I couldn't get the churches I worked for to take the carpet out of their sanctuary, ever. I love Psalm Singing. I wrote a bunch of Psalm settings that never get used. I have to listen to recordings in big churches that do traditional music, because nobody knows how to do congregational singing in the 'contemporary' music style. i'm sorry, but I just like the sound and the experience of singing along in a 'live' or 'wet' or 'ambient' room (a traditional chapel or church).
JOHN WESLEY & CHARLES WESLEY ,, so where is the United Methodist going? If we examine scripture in Genesis regarding Sodom & Gormora, where does it read traditional vs progressive prodical? God made man, then woman; get these awkwards counceling please
These older hymns have guided my life over the years and continue to help me to live al life in Christ.

At Nugget of Truth I look into the realm of historical Christianity
Psalm 46.
Luther understood humble worship. Would that churches today still did.
So good that Bob James sampled it. Lol
Luther hymn is very nice
