- This week we head over to Granville Island, Vancouver for the Vancouver Wooden Boat Festival and then head north for our summer cruise. A great summer break from wooden boat restoration.
Every week I'll also introduce a beer of the week, sharing some of my favorite, and not so favorite beers.

Travels With Geordie. A weekly video series about wooden boat restoration and liveaboard life for Peter Knowles and his dog, Geordie.
My day job is design and 3D visualization of custom homes.

Some viewers may be interested in some previous videos about Land Rovers. They're at my previous channel, Riverport Rovers.

Here is the build series about my truck. A rather modified Series II Land Rover.

I rather silly build and road trip to the famous Land Rover Winter Romp in Maine.

A slightly less silly road trip to Cape Breton that does involve painting flames on a Land Rover.

The series that started it all. A crazy plan to build a Land Rover in one day from assorted bits lying around.

There's a few other videos that might be of interest at Riverport Rovers including the beginning of a Boler trailer refit.

Granville island looks incredible. So does Vancouver, from that side. I love it.
As an australian older than forty and still just less than fifty that Beachcombers theme triggered some long-dormant memories! Thanks!
You got the Beachcombers in Australia? Cool!
@@TravelsWithGeordie between that and the Littlest Hobo I probably had a warped childhood image of Canada 😊
Having to watch reruns to supplement my Travels With Geordie fix
Heh, sorry old buddy.
@@TravelsWithGeordie you know I'm just kidding watching reruns is cool 😎 because it has inspired me to use my one talent to realize that to set up the out side radius line of the cabin top you know that lovely curved cabin edge will be in a glue up jig so it can be clamped and then the outside radius can be shaped and sanded if the wood needs replaced in dry dock is where it will need to be done ya way spendy so I'm hoping for the best. Good day I say and Cheers
Fine business on Beachcombers.I remember doing a Relic was running over a log or sandbar in a small runabout!!!
How did I get sucked in to your damn stink pot videos?? Man you guys have some beautiful boats. I like how you like to tear apart the crap to reveal the original wood, flaws and all. That is cavalier, sir. Much respect.
Heh, beautiful boats are beautiful boats, canvas or diesel...Thanks so much.
Thanks for showing us the Persephone. I loved the drone shot with the Beachcombers music over it at the end!
Smuggler’s Cove is a cool spot. Been once on our way back from Desolation. Hope to return soon...
the beachcombers showed here in australia too..i remember watching it as a kid :)
really loving this boat rebuild
That's cool! Thanks.
On radiusing the edges of your Timbers the softer the edge the less the bruise in ruff seas!!! Better a small bruise than a contusion!!! Or broken body part!!!
Heh, this is true. Oh but to sacrifice style for safety? I don't know.
I am curious how a stern tie is achieved in that rough terrain. Maybe one day you can include that in a video.
Your driving us all Insane with the cheers business but we're hooked on the videos
Thanks,Cheers,heh
Travels With Geordie love the cheers. You do you.
Lovely. Smuggler’s is great!
Thanks Simon, yes isn't it!?
My wife’s a Newfie and will often say chock-a-block full. Also her pronunciation of Saturday has no “t” in it. I’ve been to Victoria and the marina near Parliament. I had a “salty” looking boat for 11 years. It was a 22 foot C-dory cruiser. I always said that just the look of it made folks think you knew what you were doing. Same holds true for your boat. I sure like the sound of that diesel.
Hi Gary, a Newfie wife and a salty boat. You're a lucky man.
Travels With Geordie Do you know the song, Lukey’s boat? She changed it to Gary’s boat and would sing it to me on occasion.
I know it well. I'm a huge Great Big Sea fan.
Looks like Georgian Bay North Channel Great Lakes! Great videos
Wonderful. I'll be there in the not to distant future. I plan to truck the boat to Thunder Bay, work my way to Chicago and cruise the great loop. Then Europe......
this is looking like Stockholm , Sweden
Then I must come!
HI. What's the consumption of diesel, cruise speed?
About a gallon an hour at 6 knots. max speed 10, but much more fuel.
lol... persephone ;D in finnish perse = butt ;D so buttphone? ;D
Ha, not really?!?
Travels With Geordie yes 😂
