Travels With Geordie. A weekly video series about wooden boat restoration and liveaboard life for Peter Knowles and his dog, Geordie.
My day job is design and 3D visualization of custom homes.

Some viewers may be interested in some previous videos about Land Rovers. They're at my previous channel, Riverport Rovers.

Here is the build series about my truck. A rather modified Series II Land Rover.

I rather silly build and road trip to the famous Land Rover Winter Romp in Maine.

A slightly less silly road trip to Cape Breton that does involve painting flames on a Land Rover.

The series that started it all. A crazy plan to build a Land Rover in one day from assorted bits lying around.

There's a few other videos that might be of interest at Riverport Rovers including the beginning of a Boler trailer refit.

Looks absolutely idyllic, with the sound coming over the water like that and beer to hand I'd be sore tempted to enjoy the music from the boat. The older I get the less I like crowds.

Peter, I think you've found some of the most beautiful cruising grounds in the world. That area is just amazing and so picturesque! We have nothing like that here on the east coast of new england of the US. I wish my boat was on that side of the world, I'd go out and disappear for weeks on end. One question, is that fresh water or salt? And have you tried to do any fishing? I follow a few VLOGers and the fishing and especially the crabs they get are just wonderful. I love seafood! LOL!

It is amazing country, It's the Pacific ocean thus salt water.I lived in Nova Scotia for 20 years and sailed the Atlantic coast extensively. Some lovely cruising out there too. Ironically in a few years I'll bring the boat east to cruise the great loop. But Alaska first! I don't fish but plan to soon. Crabbing however is easy picking. Sadly I don't fancy crab as I do lobster. My roots I suppose. Happy sailing.

Funny you mention the Great Loop, that's what I want to do next year or the year after depending on when the boat is finished. My boat is the exception of Grand Banks 32's as it doesn't have a fly bridge. So no waiting for bridges on the Loop! The previous owner installed a rather large for panel solar array up there so anchor out will be great. I want to replace everything with LED in which case with enough battery capacity I should be able to run refrigeration and maybe even air conditioning with some of the new 12v systems I've seen on the market. I finally caught up today with the latest video from the 4th of July and I'm already looking forward to the next installment you should try and do one weekly if you can. Please keep em coming I am learning a lot and they are truly interesting! Thanks

Thank's again Spinnaker. It sounds like you have a great boat for the loop. I usually get a video out every weekend but need to catch up so may release more often for a bit. I really want to get to my new content and revamp the channel. Going to take this much more seriously. Cheers Peter.

How much fuel did you use?

This is my friends boat, very similar to mine. It burns about a gallon an hour at 6 knots. Mine is just about the same. I expect about the same with the new motors, maybe slightly less.
