I don't think people realize how revolutionary this was. This wasn't a one off collab or mashup. They managed to produce a whole album and recreated all these songs perfectly flowing the hit songs from both jay-z and Linkin park
Rob is such a great drummer. He is underrated like Brad or Phoenix because, they are not show-off musicians. They tend to serve the song efficiently is all
Wanna clear out 3 things: 1.- This concert must have been awesome. 2.- I crack my ass off every time i see JayZ's face watching how a fan didn't catch the bottle of water he threw him at 3:14 3.- R.I.P Chester, i will mourn you as long as i remember Linkin Park.
The energy from Rob, Brad, Hahn and Phoenix was always so impressive. They held their own, even with Mike and Chester at the forefront. I have soooooo much love for this entire group and I am BLESSED to have grown up listening to art like this !
I'm late to seeing this comment, but as someone who had the honor and privilege of seeing LP live twice, I couldn't agree more. My favorite band of all time. The entire group bled intense energy from "minute:start" to "minute:stop". The 2nd time I saw them was Projekt Revolution '08 when Chris Cornell was the feature right before LP's headline here in Charlotte. When Chris came out and sang "Crawling" with Chester, I had no idea it would be the last time I'd ever see either of them live again. Damn... makes me teary-eyed typing this. LP has always given so much heart, soul, and intense energy into everything they did.
I actually started tearing up a bit. Knowing that Chester is dead and something as magical as this will never happen again. With either Jay-Z or Linkin Park. RIP my boy. We will never forget this
Is he the one in the white long sleeve shirt & green cap? ]: i just read not too long qgo that a band member commited suicide. Ive had way too many people i like kill themselves in my life. This totally bums me out.
@@jeabbassian yes, it was and is devastating. Mental health battles are SO real. He was 'happy' and spending the evening with his family and then we heard around the world the terrible news he next day.
Brilliant ! Love it when guitar comes in pure class!! Great synergy between two different genres of music-one of My favourite albums/DVD after listening to music for 57 years!
still one of the most unique mash-ups in music history. it's crazy how well this worked from 2 of the biggest artists on the planet at the time. thanks for posting this
Man I love this album more than the music it mashes up. My dad, a classic rock enthusiast and myself, a rap enthusiast really bonded over this album. I picked up bass after listening to RHCP, Incubus, Muse and he always played guitar. This album got me into rock music and made me realize, it's ALL music. We all have a message, a sound, a signature; rock on and talk your -ish
Been a JayZ fan in the 80's before the fame...Loved Lincoln Park the first moment their music reached my ears. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 My heart, and predictions saw this collaboration taking place, years before this Live classic dropped. R.I.P Chester Bennington #1 JayZ fan for life... *Lincoln Park thank you for the memories.
Good old days. As a non native English speaker I barely understood the lyrics then but yet would play this song on repeat. I would memorise the lyrics and show off to my buddies at school. Time flies.
At 2.34min We can see how you was a vocal beast and why everybody respected and respect you forever, as long as i cant see you, you ll be favorite singer.. Present in all bad and good day. Thanks Chester

Right. I was actually maybe a little young and naive to hip-hop to fully appreciate it, being in my late teens in very white america.
Run DMC started it with Aerosmith that was $7,000 times more revolutionary
@@midnightcoil Dang, thought they just did a song or two. Didn't realize they did a whole concert as well. Good to know.
Agreed this is a top 5 performance. Blending genres that "shouldn't go together" but we all lonely and want a voice no matter the music
they were fans of each other, so probably had a lot of ideas even before the collab
this concert had the some of the best music i've heard in my life.
11 years from your comment, I still feel the same
Agree !
My neighbors agree. If they don’t I can’t really hear them anyway…

Have you listened to Already Over? Mike literally does everything in that song.

All those hands in the air and not a single one with a camera/phone. This concert must have felt amazing.
This was 07, 08. Different times 😐
+youwatch2muchtv it was 2004
+sot my point still stands XD

You're right. It's insane that's a benchmark on concerts now. We can't ever go back to just living in the moment.
I could only crack up when Jay Z reacts to Chester's scream. lmao
He's like: Calm the fuck down, nigga. U a'right????
Midorima Shintaro jajajajajaja same here bro!
Midorima Shintaro haaaaaaaa
Rappers Today Can't do shit no more
this was the best COllab ever
joshua landagan didn't Kendrick cola with Maroon 5? I'm not sure if it was an album thing but I believe it was for a show
joshua landagan ABSOLUTELY
Zain Shaikh Kendrick collabed with Imagine Dragons also.
Neither compare to this though.
Not totally the same, but Tech N9ne has done songs with Serj Tankian and Corey Taylor.
Jay-Z's facial expressions when Chester is going kills me. I love it. He's hella respectful too sharing the stage.
2:54 When Jay-Z says wow at your concert
Nick n So lit🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nick n Best part of this video when Chester starts screaming. The energy....
I can’t live the way I did before. Whup whup

This collaboration really took people by surprise at the time and is one of the best genre mix-ups of all time in my opinion.
Everyone alive back in 2004 was intially skeptical. Crazy to imagine what both LP and Jay Z were thinking in the studio during the albums final mixing

That synth wailing, with the drum beat, and then those first few octaves from the guitar is forever one of the sickest ways to dive into a riff.
Early 2000 Mtv was amazing. These guys are doing a LIVE mashup. Unreal
back when the crowd was wild now.
